Which that was before camera phones so there was nothing we could do when they did things like make my dudes jaw get shattered
I think you guys are underestimating their cunning. Like other commenters have pointed out, buddy ran because he likely had illegal drugs or firearms in the car. During the chase he found an opportunity to ditch the stuff at which point he gave himself up. The family likely knows all this, and may even be distracting the police (as much as they can) and one or two among them are retrieving the contraband either to keep it or more thoroughly dispose of it (get rid of any evidence that might link their guy to the items, fingerprints or whatever, or just get it away from the area the police can deduce that he was while running away). Point being this seems like a crew who knows what they're doing and basically got away with a relatively minor charge compared to what buddy would have been hit with had they been able to prove he was in possession of the guns/drugs. That's my impression anyways. It's always a little bit performative when people act scared of the police - but these people strike me as the sort that know full well the cops aren't going to hurt them, and they know what lines not to cross and how to make just enough of a scene to obscure what they're really up to. Oddly it's the people who _aren't_ career criminals, and are also very dumb, who freak out the most and are genuinely scared that the police will kill em for no reason (thanks CNN...). These people know the score. The thing about cops is that they're predictable and act in predictable ways. Skilled criminals know very well at which point the police will use lethal force and at which point they won't - and they often play dumb like this and use that knowledge to their advantage. The perp in this case took a calculated risk and it paid off for him. He made sure to speed off before the cops were in the car with him (had he stepped on the gas while they were trying to pull him out - they could and probably would taze or shoot him), and once he disposed of the contraband he went out into the open and suddenly knew exactly how to comply with their orders. All of which is to say - these people aren't idiots. They're criminals.
Yeah that whole family is moving drugs, thats why they showed up on the scene and were causing a scene. They were there to pickup the drugs and guns that boy dropped in the dark somewhere.

But wearing a boring, lame hoodie for 300 USD.
That initial officer is exactly the kind who needs to train others. Professional, specific, calm.
300 dollar hoodies 400 dollars sneakers and 200 dollar pants, people will be wearing 1k outfits and claim they're underprivileged.

Yeah that whole family is moving drugs, thats why they showed up on the scene and were causing a scene.
They were there to pickup the drugs and guns that boy dropped in the dark somewhere.
did he specifically claim that he's underprivileged? all that happened was the police escorting him to where he wanted to walk to so he doesn't interfere with the scene, so i have no idea what the point is for bringing up his clothes
@@justanotherguyful ya lol that's why they made the other person pull off w the car when they were on the sidewalk lmao
I bought a car for $900 not long ago.... priorities...............
Seriously ruin a $300 shirt with a $3 Sloppy Joe?
This is literally the cop you pray to get pulled over by. Super laid back and understanding. Not just looking for a ticket. Somehow, this guy won the lottery and threw his winning ticket in the shredder.
So much respect to these cops. They were extremely patient and friendly with him even though there were endless red flags in his behavior. These cops know how to stay calm and respectful while simultaneously being extremely alert and ready for anything.
Wrong, they let him take them on a chase. He should have been scared shitless and afraid to pull a stunt like that.
@@nightowl9519 So that you can look at the officer's bodycam footage and blame his rude behavior for the suspect to take off? Goddam, man, there's no winning. Always find a reason to blame the cops.
@@cheeseroll2398 No, I am blaming the officer being nice, get out of your ass.
If they weren't so busy trying to be nice and cool, the chase that could have killed someone would never have happened.
@@nightowl9519 If the officer was more assertive, he would have caused a scene of I don't feel safe. Stfu and blame the guy for causing the chase. Which dumfk blames the officer, that too for being nice. Fkin dipshit logic
@@nightowl9519 That's the world we live in now. Cops in the old days would have dragged him outta the car at gunpoint... arrested him and found his illegal firearm or whatever else he had. No running. No endangering innocent lives. Justice served.
this is the CHILLEST COP in the WHOLE WORLD and PATIENT TOO. I'm losing MY PATIENCE with this guy talking about his FEEWINGS.
Just be honest bro, the cop is being SUPER nice.
Ulg, now you're saying "bro" too.
@@AllYouHaveToDoIsBeHonest oh no using a word from the 1500's how could he
Him being nice is just a tactic. Never be honest with a cop unless it’s something you’re required to give, such as your name. Otherwise don’t answer questions…
@@cruisinguy6024 Alternate theory: most people, even cops, are decent human beings who will be nice to you if you aren't a total jerk (and even then, will continue to be nice for some time).
Yes, you should absolutely give only required information--you can always get yourself into more trouble, but you can almost never say anything to get out of trouble. The thing is, volunteering a lie is not the same as withholding ancillary facts. I.e., be honest, but tight-lipped.
@@cruisinguy6024cry a river
His homie @1:20 telling him to pull off on speaker phone is crazy.”Drive!!Drive!!Drive!!”
That officer was super professional. Give him a raise man. Take my tax money and give it to him.
