I was watching cops and I couldn't turn the volume down on the TV and i looked out my window and there was a police chase and a truck rolled in my ditch😂 This is 100% real lol.

tbf, that's not new. Community communication has been a thing for a very long time, and only in the last 20 years can those comms channels can be seen and heard anywhere in the world. Nextdoor is a very popular app that focuses on community communication (though it's an extremely toxic social media site). Same with all sort of comms apps like whatsapp, telegram, discord, slack, signal, etc. All of which are far from perfect, and imo, should be avoided. Physically talking to your neighbors is best.

I remember in high-school I used to be up really early in the morning, like 4:30. One morning I was standing in the kitchen and looked out the window only to see a swat team moving down my street. I learned later my neighbor a block down had kidnapped a child(though it was their biological child, they didn't have custody) and a swat team came in to take the child back. But it was scary to see that so early in the morning, moving stealthily down my street.
No, but I have woken up with SWAT surrounding my house, SWAT in my room waking me up for warrants, bounty hunters doing both of those exact same things as well as out waiting me while I hid in a foot of insulation inside a attic on a 100° hot day for 4 hours. Not including the SWAT that pulled up on me and arrested me in Phoenix outside a Frys or the homicide detectives picking me up for a M I did not commit. Stay out of trouble and live life.

The question here is what kind of firearm, not *if* he has one. While all of them are dangerous in the hands of someone who wants to do harm, the threat level to LEOs are a little different. If it's a handgun, their soft body armor is likely to stop the round and reduce the risk major injury. If it's a rifle, or a shotgun loaded with slugs, it'll go through the soft armor and likely cause major injury/death.
Ex SWAT and K-9 officer here. All intersections and properties/buildings have 4 points...1,2,3,4. For N, E, S, W or other 4 directions...same through out city or state. So commands are point 1 or so. Every officer knows EXACTLY where they need to be. None of this "North of Wisconsin St."
My neighbor got raided. They just drove the bearcat right in the yard, jumped off and shot flashbangs thru the window, bashed down the door and took everyone out. It's been quiet since.

My guess is that because he didn't run or post up and instead extended his arm, giving the dog something to bite onto the dog didn't feel the need to rush and jump at him and just grabbed on and was ready to start pulling or tearing if he suddenly got more aggressive. I think it only let go and returned when called by his handler as well. Dogs are not only instinctual experts on body language but the K9 units are well trained, dog did good.

Them asking to use the neighbors’ homes reminds me of years ago when I was younger, a guy down the street from our house was holding his wife and child hostage. Officers had to use my bedroom window and as a kid I thought it was so cool lol. Everyone came out of the situation unharmed thankfully.

tbf, that's not new. Community communication has been a thing for a very long time, and only in the last 20 years can those comms channels can be seen and heard anywhere in the world. Nextdoor is a very popular app that focuses on community communication (though it's an extremely toxic social media site). Same with all sort of comms apps like whatsapp, telegram, discord, slack, signal, etc.
All of which are far from perfect, and imo, should be avoided. Physically talking to your neighbors is best.

I remember in high-school I used to be up really early in the morning, like 4:30. One morning I was standing in the kitchen and looked out the window only to see a swat team moving down my street. I learned later my neighbor a block down had kidnapped a child(though it was their biological child, they didn't have custody) and a swat team came in to take the child back. But it was scary to see that so early in the morning, moving stealthily down my street.
At that point you get your speaker and crank out the freebird solo at full volume at em. lol.

The question here is what kind of firearm, not *if* he has one. While all of them are dangerous in the hands of someone who wants to do harm, the threat level to LEOs are a little different. If it's a handgun, their soft body armor is likely to stop the round and reduce the risk major injury. If it's a rifle, or a shotgun loaded with slugs, it'll go through the soft armor and likely cause major injury/death.

Ex SWAT and K-9 officer here. All intersections and properties/buildings have 4 points...1,2,3,4. For N, E, S, W or other 4 directions...same through out city or state. So commands are point 1 or so. Every officer knows EXACTLY where they need to be. None of this "North of Wisconsin St."

My guess is that because he didn't run or post up and instead extended his arm, giving the dog something to bite onto the dog didn't feel the need to rush and jump at him and just grabbed on and was ready to start pulling or tearing if he suddenly got more aggressive. I think it only let go and returned when called by his handler as well.
Dogs are not only instinctual experts on body language but the K9 units are well trained, dog did good.
