    I’ll be turning 70 next year. I’ve been taking compounded Estrogen/Progesterone, Testosterone and DHEA for 20 years. Two years ago I worked with my compounding pharmacy to formulate an Estriol face cream in a nice peptide cream base. Almost immediately I noticed a difference in skin firmness especially my neck even though I’ve been on HRT for many years. I have been talking about the face cream for a couple of years. The fact that it is non systemic should really interest women who have chosen not to take HRT. Just an aside the testosterone also has helped with my skin firmness.

      I’m not sure my physician and compounding pharmacy would be useful, however I can tell you the approach I used. I have a very forward thinking OB/GYN. I’m a RN who has always been interested in alternative approaches. I met the pharmacist at a new compounding pharmacy and he agreed to go to the OB/GYN office and educate him on bio identical HRT. The pharmacist obtained the saliva tests, interpreted my results and called my OB/GYN to obtain an order for what he recommended. That was 20 years ago! As a result I’ve not experienced any of the typical menopausal symptoms. Fortunately it has kept me from experiencing the horrible osteoporosis my mother had. So far as the face cream, I pretty much used the same approach. I read up on the benefit of this approach. I leaning using the weaker estrogen doesn’t get absorbed systematically. I shared the literature with the pharmacist who did additional research to create the cream. It is 0.3%Estriol in a bio peptide cream base. He was wonderful about finding a base that would have some additional skin care benefits. He contacted my OB/GYN who provided the order. I’m certain that with a few calls others can make this happen. Be proactive and assertive. Physicians are life time learners as well. If they really care about women’s health they will listen. Good luck, it’s worth the journey to improve your healthspan.

      @@rajanimdskincare Hi there, Dr Rajani. I wanted to share a cream that I started using about two months ago called Emepelle. You may have heard of it. It has the effects of estrogen on your skin but isn't actually estrogen. I haven't seen many videos on it, but it has been really helping my skin. I can't take HRT's so this was a godsend. the downside is it's very expensive! I'm hoping. Hope this information helps other women in my situation. God bless!

    You are 100% correct about the effects of estrogen on the skin. I went through a complete total radical hysterectomy, at age 31, due to cancer. Prior to the surgery, people thought I was a teenager. 5 years post surgery I noticed looking a lot older. I began aging at a much faster rate after my ovaries were removed from the surgery. I also have the bones of a 70 year old at 50 years old now 🙄. Estrogen is beneficial in so many ways. It's like a youth serum.

My anti-aging doctor recommended using progesterone on the breasts. She says this helps protect the breasts and help to prevent breast cancer (and she used to be a breast cancer surgeon!). Next Wednesday, I have an appointment to check my hormone results - I have to do a very expensive spit test and send it off to the lab - I have been experimenting with hormone products from Amazon because the compounding pharmacy was so expensive. I had already tried the progesterone I got on Amazon (Indeed) and the results were fine on my last test. This time, I have been trying the Biest Estrogen & a testosterone cream. I'm not sure if the results will be good, however.

    • @halaurent
      @halaurent 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. It doesn't "cause" cancer. However, if cancer is present, estrogen has been implicated in the increase in cancer cells; therefore, most therapies eliminate estrogen in certain cancerous conditions. I have a friend who was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was given medication to eliminate testosterone - the estrogen in his system immediately increased (men have estrogen, too) and he experienced horrible hot flashes! I told him to use progesterone cream - (John R. Lee's recommendation for hot flashes), but he was afraid. I think, if we are honest, most physicians don't really understand cancer. @@Daisy-xl4xu

    I was so happy to see this. I had not heard of anyone using estrogen (E2) cream on their skin, such as face, etc. I am 70 y/o. I tried it on my own so seeing this confirmed my suspicions that this might help with wrinkles. Tonight I did some light microneedleing (0.25) on my face and neck. Afterwards I used some hyaluronic acid and a pea sized amount of the estrogen cream and easily covered my entire face, neck - even spread on my arms and hands. Again, this was a pea sized amount of the estrogen cream. I will use glycolic acid in between the estrogen treatments (only 2 E2 treatments per week.). This should be interesting after 4 months of use. THANK YOU for your video!!

    You are a real DOCTOR, you look at everything! I’ve used an Estriol cream on my face at the advice of my dermatologist when my own doctor stopped my HRT at the age of 62. Thank God for Dr. Brandy in Pittsburgh who saved my skin! RetinA followed by estriol every day for the past 13 yrs has made my skin darn near perfect, plump and hydrated, unlined and much younger. An aesthetic nurse said to me recently you have a 50 yr old face , as a 74 yr old that was quite a compliment!

    I use both tretinoin and an estradiol cream on my face, just not every night. I noticed the difference immediately with the estradiol. People say it takes weeks to expect results, but I noticed increased smoothness immediately. Unfortunately it also brought on night sweats after using it a week straight, so now I just do it a couple times a week and use the thinnest layer I can manage. I just want it on the top layer of my skin, not circulating through my system to any significant extent.

    In 2009 already a dermatologist in South Africa prescribed me vaginal cream + Betnovate compounded in aquauous cream. In Canada, when I asked the doctor for a prescription, I was laughed at, got a lecture and was flagged on the provincial computer so that every doctor in Manitoba scoffed at me. Apparently it is not allowed by Health Canada. I found 2 studies that were found safe, so I simply got myself estradiol cream from overseas and now dilute it with aquous cream myself :) Btw the pharmacist said that it is also common practice in India. She did say Testosterone cannot be prescribed for women going through peri and menopause in Canada, terrible, I’ve been looking into BIOTe for the testosterone pellet, but I’d rather a gel so i can measure the amount based on the affects. I have been using tretinone since I was 30 for treating oxidative ageing. However at age 50 I started noticing my skin becoming thinner and loosing elasticity (most noticeable on my neck) I have since added estrogel to my routine and has certainly made a difference. I use tretoin every night, I dont have side effects from it because I have used it consistently for so long and put the estrogel on every morning 2 pumps face neck and hands. I don’t use progesterone because I have a progesterone IUD. Flattery is alway nice when I am often mistaken for being the mother of my grown grandchildren.

    Back in the 80's I was a teenager and watched an interview with a model who was in her 40's and she was asked how she kept the skin on her face so fresh, supple, young and wrinkle free. She said she used a vaginal hormone cream on her face daily. She said if it was sensitive enough for her down there, then it was good enough for her face. I can't remember the name of the cream, but I remember it started with the letter "P" and was then sold OTC. I personally use Summer's Eve to wash my face because I have rosasea and everything else I've tried leaves my face dry and itchy.
