@rajanimdskincare Thank you for the great information 🤞🏼, first of all. I lost a lot of hair in a year three years ago but, thankfully, with a good prenatal supplement, it came back. It did come back more grey though. So, while I'll give these a try, could you give us some beauty advice on how to tame the unruly grey beast, just In case, these don't work for some of us grey haired beauties? Lastly, I wouldn't mind my grey hair if it didn't clash so harshly with my skin tone or wash me out. Do you have any tips on how we can make our grey hair warmer or cooler depending on our needs? Cosmetologists and color experts 🤷🏼‍♀️ have plenty to say, but it'd be nice to hear advice like this from your unique experience and perspective. I don't mind coloring my hair as I'm sure most women don't. But less is more, and probably healthier, in the realm of beauty. Are there any particular colors of highlights or lowlights we can use to make it more fetching with our different color combinations. For example, can we tone it with something, other than our purple and blue shampoos, or do some kind of color wash to warm or cool? 😉 Thanks for considering my questions if you do!🩶 Take care🩶

You may want to try some shampoos that add temporary color. I gave up dying my hair because of all the chemicals, not to mention time.
I recently purchased W-water colors intense shampoo from amazon. I was feeling washed out by my stark white hair.
My first bottle was the lilac. It was fun. But I wanted to have like a rose gold. So I bought the peach and mixed them together. A couple tries and I had it!
One day when I had more peach than lilac it was a soft pink.
I met a friend for lunch and she loved it. I got a compliment from the waitress. Later I saw my sister and she commented on how pretty my hair looked(she's a tough critic). Later my insurance agent gave me a compliment on the color. Then while walking out of a store, a young girl said 'beautiful hair' as I passed her.
That was 5 compliments in one day on my hair. That has never happened before. Needless to say, I'm going to keep playing with my new coloring set. I just bought the steel color and can't wait till my next shampoo. I have to wash my hair anyway right? Might as well have some fun.
Might be the solution you're looking for.😁

MY STORY - 58 old male with a full head of dark hair & beard. A lot gray hair is from stress. My siblings started going gray in their 20's. They all got married early and had kids (The kids drove them crazy). I waited to get married until I 40 and decided to not have children. So, I pretty much have zero stress. People at my work assumed I was dying my hair and beard. But eventually figured out my dark hair & beard was just natural. BIG TIP - Don't Stress.

At 70+, I’m old enough to be OK with white hair. What I’m not OK with is losing my hair. I addition to ingesting suitable supplements and using nourishing oils on my scalp, I also began massaging daily with a silicone massage brush until both my scalp and face begin to tingle. After several months of this routine, I have not only noticed lots of new baby hairs coming in but many of them are dark. What a surprise!

I did notice she had thick skin, ie collagen level must have improved? But, sorry gran, cuz Ah ain't gonna slap myself silly to make my skin thicker.🤣. If someone has copper deficiency, the results can be much worse than just gray hair. Copper is required to produce collagen and collagen is required to keep blood vessels strong and healthy. If your blood vessels are weak, you can have an aneurysm, which can be fatal. Not fearmongering, just sharing info which people may not know.

Thankyou for this information! I am really enjoying your videos Dr. Rajani. I'll always remember a friend telling me about her grandmother who was in her 90's and still had all her natural dark hair. Her daily ritual was to prep her family's huge pot of potatoes and put all the peels into water. She drank that pot of potato water every day! The peels are full of copper.
For me, stress has played a big role in my silver hair - which I actually do like. My hairdresser says people are paying big bucks these days for hair like mine! :) Still, I am starting this journey of getting more of my original colour back and I know it can be done. It's a good time to be turning grey in terms of there being plenty of information on natural options, supplements etc. I am seeing a lot of people reversing their greys by taking the copper along with zinc, as well as massage and using pure organic castor oil on their scalp. I am also seeing people raving about organic black seed oil and I believe pumpkin seed oil has DHT blockers and also seems to help. This video has inspired me to get going on this journey. Must take before pics... :D

Thank You for the info on Castor Oil, that worked too! Looking younger, in good shape, not feeling negative about my age at all, as nobody would guess. Coconut oil on body for years faded any flaws. It eventually dawned on me that during those times I had more energy. Started using B12 daily, sublingual. Well, 6 weeks later my approx half grey hair is now coming in dark. It is so bizarre. Here is how I reversed my grey hair: I stopped dying my hair. Then I stopped washing my hair on a regular basis, and when it became necessary I avoided shampoo. Meanwhile I became carnivore. I am not religious about it, so if I really want carbs, I eat some. But I don't use seed oils, only animal fat. I eat steak, sardines, anchovies etc, eggs, dairy. I am 55 years old female and my hair is gradually turning back to its original colour. If you can, get a water filter for the whole house. This water we generally get from the system washes out zinc from our body. It will be a slow process but worth it. The first year I wore cap/hat all the time because when I stopped dying my hair it looked awful. It was a difficult period but I was so busy with the renovation of my house, I just couldn't care less what people might thought about my look. But now, my hair is like silk, shiny, healthy and getting darker every week. I bought a shampoo bar, made of beef fat and few other natural ingredients, and I wash my hair with it 2 times a year.

Please do not use Rosemary Oil if you have high blood pressure, epilepsy or schizophrenia or are in your first 16 weeks of pregnancy.
Maximum amount to use is 3 drops Rosemary Oil per every 100 drops carrier oil, or 3 drops per teaspoon, of a thick carrier oil like castor oil or coconut oil.
Essential oil takes about 20 minutes to get from outside the skin into the bloodstream, so it needs to be applied and left on longer than 20 minutes. Rosemary EO has an invigorating effect, so leaving it on the entire night might make sleep more difficult. It is healthier for the hair to only wash hair twice a week, so doing this EO in carrier oil might be best done twice weekly and left on for at least a half hour or more, but stimulate the scalp well daily for the healthiest hair and scalp.
It is good to stimulate the scalp first before applying these the oils. Scalp stimulation alone to increase blood flow has been proven in studies to promote healthy hair growth. It is also helpful before adding oil to the hair. In my grandmother's day, women were taught to brush their hair thoroughly every night with a boar's hair brush or natural bristles to exfoliate the scalp, stimulate blood flow and the nutrients that it brings to the scalp area and to bring up those oils from the scalp and run them through the hair.
(Side note: Washing hair daily strips the oils away then the body tries to make up for it by over- production of sebum (the body's natural oil). If your hair is greasy when you don't wash daily, you will need to go through a "training" period where you don't wash it daily, but you do wash it twice weekly with a high quality shampoo that does Not have sulfates (which contributes to this vicious cycle of drying out the hair and causing the scalp to over-produce sebum). It will continue to be oily, possibly even for many weeks as was in my case, before it finally balances back out.

The first gray i noticed was on one side of my part. My hair is blonde. So it blended in. It just looked like i had highlights. My hairstylist told me it's called the "money piece." About 3 years after that showing up, the top of my head turned white. The rest was still my natural dirty blonde. When i started supplementation, i noticed the white hair on the top of my head turned back to blonde. I wasn't taking a ton of Bs. I was intermittent fasting. I was taking a great brand of C60, something called Black Diamond (humic/fulvic acid) and curcumin. My grays were almost gone. I haven't been able to afford the C60 lately. So the gray is back. But it's not bad. It's like having salon-looking highlights. Don't tell my stylist. Haha
I take Ashwaganda, power mushrooms, boron/magnesium, melatonin, blue algae, glycine, NAC, krill oil and all the regular supplements: A, B, C, d/k, E
I don't take them all at the same time.
I have no idea which one is helping my hair. 😆

Iron carries oxygen to all the cells. Stimulating blood flow is so important and copper with its cofactors keeps the color. Your body works together as a perfect unique body. Know if you have deficiencies to balance but don’t over do supplements just to make something better. Your body will balance everything if given the proper nutrients. Now genetics is exposing how some inherited genes cause malabsorption. If you don’t absorb nutrients deficiency happens. Food is your medicine and medicine is your food. You age because certain nutrients don’t absorb. Environment plays a big part and foods that are processed so nutrients are taken out makes life shorter if you don’t eat what’s natural. The medical association and the medicines which causes more side effects damages our body. Learn about the body and the deficiencies so it can be corrected. More people are becoming aware of this and try to eat healthy natural foods, drink good water. God made everything for our use and to keep us healthy. Life and wrong choices influencing our decisions has changed our world. Trust our Creator not all humans. We weren’t supposed to live forever. Good health to all.

Thanks for the video! I haven’t seen your other video on copper yet, and I apologize if you mentioned this in it. But as of note, zinc competes for the copper receptor. Aggressive, zinc, supplementation, or sustained, zinc, supplementation can pose an issue for copper. I am an Internist primary care physician, and, we do see copper deficiency, especially in patients who have undergone gastric bypass or small bowel resections as well. Copper deficiency can present very similarly to B12 deficiency. Patients are likely B12 deficient as well so it is suggested that they supplement B12, and then the copper deficiency gets overlooked. Zinc has seen an explosion in aggressive supplementation as of late due to the thought that this is helping immunity, which absolutely is true to some extent. However, copper is not commonly thought of. I’m glad that you mentioned it. It is something to be mindful of especially right now.

When I feel zapped and “overexerted” from regular uneventful daily activities, Ashwaghanda (I drink it with a Tulsi blend + add coconut cream + lo Han) helps me return to my baseline the next day - I feel fully rested or as well rested as possible. It’s truly a gift to have this available!

When I hit menopause my straight strawberry blonde hair lost the red, but got curly. I was taking a lot of zinc during covid and it got a lot of gray. I also got other issues from the zinc/copper balance being off, so I took some copper for a short time. Then I got cancer. I can't take copper now because copper is bad for cancer (even though I am cancer free currently.) There is actually a cancer treatment which keeps copper super low. Anyway I had eaten very healthy for years, but even more so since the cancer, plus I take a ton of anti-cancer supplements (all of which are generally good for you). Now my hair has much less gray and is getting it's red back.

I'm nearly 70 and used a product called "Go Gray" to get the dye out of my hair as I got sick of dyeing my roots every 3 weeks. However it basically turned my hair kind of brassy orange, so I wore a baseball cap for about 9 months when I went out, and eventually the brassiness washed out leaving a sort of blonde color, but my white, pearly hair growing in looks beautiful. I can't wait to have totally white hair! Every age has its own, unique beauty. However I've long used the supplements he's talking about (including ashwagandha to sleep), and none of them have affected my grey hair.

One thing I would say about massaging coconut oil into the scalp which I, personally, would never do. Imo, the oil can clog the hair follicles, actually causing the hair to fall out. I say this because I have tried a hair "cleanser" made of "natural substances" like tea tree oil and other oils, and that's exactly what happened to me. My hair is thick and down to my waist, but about 2 weeks into using this oil-based cleanser, my hair started falling out in clumps. As soon as I stopped the cleanser, my hair stopped falling out. At the time, I had no other lifestyle changes and no stress. My belief is that despite instructions to rinse with copious amounts of water, the oils still remained and clogged my hair follicles. So, I mention this as something to look out for. There happens to be a class action suit against the maker of this cleanser because of so many people having the same hair shedding experience.

It might be the over rinsing causing the clogged pores, not the oils. I have acne prone skin. I use straight grape seed oil on my face daily with no breakouts. A dermatologist explained to me that the more I washed my face, the more of the natural oils were washed away, and the more oils the body will produce to replace those lost. It is this process that I've found clogs the pores.
