That gel is my fave to retwist with. It doesn’t leave any flakes or white residue. It also doesn’t make your hair feel crispy lol

Today is Friday November 24, 2023 Black Friday. That hair dryer you have was originally $150 but had a 72% discount for Black Friday so I got it for $44 with taxes $48 and some change. Thank you for listing the hair dryer. I found your video to be one of the best for washing my locs and moisturizing them after a clarifying shampoo. You explained it so I could understand the purpose of a clarifying shampoo and a moisturizing one. I love Carol’s daughter so thank you for that as well. I will try the gel you used. I did just start wrapping my loose hairs around my loc’s and it does work. I’m in a 3 year loc journey and my hair has grown so much. I used to have short hair when I was using all those chemicals in it of which now they are saying the relaxers for black hair cause cancer. I’m not surprised. That’s another story for another time. Loc’ing my hair 3 years ago is the best thing I could have done. I went from short hair to hair down my neck. Leave the chemicals alone ladies. STOP PERMING YOUR HAIR! This is exactly how I retwist my hair. I wrap the loose hair, which (personally) helps the locking process/formation. It gives my hair a little guidance on where to go.
Side note: still super obsessed with this set of locs 😍 I truly hope you are enjoying it too!

I just got starter locs like 3/4 weeks ago. I'm pretty good with natural hair, but new to locs. You've inspired me to try my own retwist!
How did it go?
Oil rose water aloe and water in a spray bottle is the go to I just did my first retwist on my new set of starter locs and I use the water oil method I like it 😊
I use the same gel I really like that it doesn't make my hair crunchy and it doesn't flake

I love how your locs look. I would like to see more on how you part the side and top of hair when retwisting. That's where I'm having trouble with especially on retwisting the edges. I'm one month in my loc journey. I can do the back to about three rows after that I don't know how to start with the side of my hair. I hope I'm making sense. It's hard to find video where someone is doing the side and top. But I'm learning a lot by watching yours and others. Trail and error is what I'm doing.

I feel like 2 strand twist is better because it doesn’t unravel as easily as coils does in the beginning process

Hi! Can you tell me what your hair type/porosity is? My hair tends to need more heavy duty moisturizer because I have high porosity hair, but I'm looking for a moisturizing shampoo because I don't want build up from leave in conditioner. Help please! Lol
