    Love my handheld shower head! For my final rinse I turn it to a forceful stream option and deep rinse my locs for 3 minutes (i have a timer and I have thick locs). As they get longer the deep rinse time will get longer. No buildup issues for me!
    Loc wash day is easier for me than loose natural wash days!
    Lovely style! I miss my longer locs when I could do this, but this set will get there!

    There is a lot of debate on the use of ACV for locs. I am honestly still on the fence myself as I have seen some positive results. One of the arguments against ACV is the dryness issues it can cause overtime because the acidity throws the pH of hair of balance. I was wondering if you always had issues with dandruff? Even before your loc journey? What do you use to restore the pH balance? Is this even an issue for you? I have to admit that I am still trying to understand all of it and I am also new to your channel so if you have covered these questions before - please direct me. Thanks in advance.

    • @NinaUnlocked

      Using conditioner when your locs aren’t fully mature can encourage them to unravel. Mature locs can handle it, but you still have to be mindful of buildup.

    Hi! I had Locs at age 7 and then I cut them off. And went about 3 years with an Afro Afro!!!!! Hahaha. And then I decided I wanted locs again at Age 11. And I don’t remember much about having Locs. My mom uses just water and then twists my hair with Castor Oil. But I realized I have lint and build up in my hair. And dandruff! Girl she loves to scratch my dandruff. 😂. So I am trying to find the right products to make sure my hair is Healthy. My hair naturally grows fast so I’m really happy about that. But I like to feel cleansed and have good hygiene. So what container do you use to dilute your Shampoo?

    • @NinaUnlocked
      @NinaUnlocked  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! It’s awesome you’ve been on this journey for awhile! I feel you on the Afro Afro and the dandruff. 😂 I use an applicator bottle that I got from Sally, but you can also find them on Amazon. I prefer the longer ones since I typically need more shampoo to cover all my locs. Good hygiene with your locs is so important, so congrats to you for doing some research into it! 💕
