  • We'proven nobody tests does a 2021 4WD ute comparison like us. Now we're back doing a 2021 isuzu d-max review - where we compare it to the 2020 Isuzu D-MAX in a back to back off-road test.
We also get our experts to look at the suspension, the engine, the transmission and the chassis to give you an idea on what it'll be like to modify.
If you're looking for a dmax offroad review, want to the know the differences vs the old version or differences vs ranger or vs hilux - you need to watch this video!

Shows how good the MR Triton is and was. The MR took their first place on Ute of the Year test before value was factored in (and when value was factored in, it accelerated away further). If they are now saying the new Isuzu is a contender for the top spot it shows how far Mistubishi was ahead of the pack several years ago when MR came out. Glad Isuzu had caught up (albeit without full time 4wd which remains a Triton solo win and the Isuzu is much pricier). Cheers

New Isuzu looks awesome! I was wondering if you had any recommendations for any super reliable 4wd towing cars for towing horses? In my case the load would be approx. 2 tonne, but I have heard from a lot of car people that quite a few 4wds/ utes aren’t designed for or stable enough for that type of load, with two horses (500-600kg each) moving around/changing weight distribution during transit. Obviously Land Cruisers can’t be beaten, but the price point is an issue. Would something like the Navara V6 diesel be an option? Cheers, Chantelle.
