In the 80’s I changed over all my dry goods to the Tupperware modular system in my pantry. It’s still serving us well! If it comes in a box or bag, it goes into Tupperware!

That is so cool. I’m not familiar with that system!

We just purchased lazy Susan’s for spices and they work really well. I decant my spices into Dollarama jars and store any extra in the freezer to keep them fresh.

I use large Mason jars, or some other clear glass container to organize because if I don’t see it I forget it’s there. But it still makes it look better and sometimes I will add a cute decor item just something that makes me happy when I see it.

Everyone has pantry envy ,I like the cans all stacked too ,I insisted on a pantry when we renovated our kitchen .We managed to squeeze one in from a cupboard I wanted U shaped shelves as I didn’t want them deep as things get shoved in the back and forgotten about , .My husband made a screen door for it I love it .

I have wood floors, use many floorcloths of various sizes, in different areas, really love them, and they hold up well. My pantry area is a small corner of our eating room, with free standing old cupboards, and an old grain chest. I also use several lazy susan's for my spices and herbs. Those that I use daily I keep close at hand on a wall cabinet in my kitchen above an island my dad made me 30 years ago. It would not fit as its intended purpose in our home now, so one side is against a wall. Your floors are wonderful and the colors pop out so well giving an inviting sense. Always enjoy your videos. Thanks. In Joy

Thank you! I do need to try floor cloths. There is wood underneath the tile in our hallway but it’s about 4 layers under…maybe someday!

I have similar checkered floors in my basement. I’m going to use this method to clean them! Thank you!
As for the kitchen in the back of the house, sometimes is was separate from the house to minimize the risk of fire. People started attaching their kitchen in the late 1800s depending on the area of the country you lived in. I love to look at old homes and see all the stages of progress that happens through the years.
You have such a beautiful home!

Thank you! Yes for sure! It actually still makes a lot of sense in a way to have the kitchen separate… good luck with your floors!

I love your pantry. A good tip is to put small pieces of trim on the back of your shelf wall and sit the spices on them. Another idea is to put a box with very shallow shelves on the wall so you can line your spices up to easily see them. I’ve tried many strategies for spices, and if you can’t see them all the time, in an organized way, they always get out of control.

Love the floors! We have that tile in black and white in our apartment. I had no idea that they could be polished to such a shine! I will have to pick up some of that product. As far as the pantry goes.... I wish I had one. I've never lived in a house that has had a proper pantry😢

I like your checked floors. Your pantry clear up is done well too. Nice to see that you used whatever you had to rearrange your stuff. 👏👏 My two cents worth, perhaps if you organised them in the same material would be more attractive and functional? Just a thought. I love watching your channel and look forward to your next video 😊
