I have been planning my Spring 10-item wardrobe and taking stock of my clothes. I made a wish list of items I'd love to have for Spring and/or Summer 2024, and then I set out to my favorite haunts!
I will give you some tips and tricks for shopping online at ThredUp, and then I'll take you shopping to 4+ consignment and/or thrift stores I've visited in the past couple of weeks. At the end, I'll show you my haul! DId I find everything on the list? What unexpected treasures did I unearth on the $1 rack?
I prefer to shop and buy secondhand, mostly because I can get better quality clothes that way, but also because I love the variety and serendipity of it all.

Keeping a list is always good it stops me from buying things I will regret. I prefer thrifting as you have a better selection & can dress in more of an individual style, I don’t want to look like everyone else. It was fun shopping with you.

I love seeing your pieces! I started imagining the navy sweater over a white tank with navy and white striped shorts or skirt with the red tote. Or the gray green shirt with a pencil skirt or denim shorts kind of Coastal granddaughter. Or with soft linen gathered shorts for the cozy vibe. Endless options. You have inspired me to actually go play in my clothes this weekend. I volunteer at a thrift shop so I treat my clothes more like rentals now. lol I take them home for a while and then donate them back. It does help try looks for cheap and I too am learning to be really picky because I want just right.
Lots of great ideas thank you! How fun to volunteer at a thrift shop. I would be endlessly rotating and endlessly tempted! It is so helpful to find your true style I believe - and practicing with thrifted items you're less likely to make costly mistakes when you do buy something new. Absolutely, if I don't love it, I (try) not to buy it! Easier said than done at times. I have to quell the "but it's so cheap!" quite a bit.
The green belt takes away from the grey wrap, too busy round your waist ,The blue floral and navy jacket looked lovely.I used to feel silly in a hat but now I’ve started wearing straw hats we live in Florida.
Thanks! I need to get over my hat thing. Here in Kentucky the only time I don't feel silly is Derby Day, when everyone is in a gorgeous hat!
