Thanks for watching the video that far! And yeah that negative status ailment is insane or may I just say permanent status that can't be reversed my goodness
Thanks man as always! Yeah I'm really curious too. Seems like it isn't perhaps a thing? I know it works in a pvp setting though lol but never ever did see the enemy AI ever use it
One of the funny thing is when you are under Toad effect you can still use the Black Mage's Toad spell to cast Toad on yourself to undo Toad effect or make other become Toad like you.
FFT has a lot of stuff and weird mechanics and status effects where there are just so many rules and differences lol. Malboro Spores is one of the more odd ones I say.
If I may, you have a bunch of endgame build videos, but most players won’t grind to get them all the way unless they see how their character can be kept effective during the journey. What if you did evolving builds instead, showing how the progress toward said build most efficiently without cheese or excess grind? What to learn along the way to final job, order, etc? Like you did with ramsa.
Thanks and I do have some early game builds just no where near as much. I've been a lot busier lately so hopefully I can get to them rather soon ish as well.
its interesting to note that if you silence an enemy ai wizard, instead of the wizard running away to heal, he will instead come up and try to melee with his wand which can help out a lot to take out those pesky units
One interesting thing about Confusion. The enemy AI is programmed in that if they're unable instantly kill the Confused Unit in one hit, they'll just straight out ignore them.
The AI does some interesting things. Its been a while for me but I almost forgot about when getting Doomed, they will just leave your character alone and run away.
@J7Jase yep, because the AI basically considers that unit dead so they'll instead focus someone else Another thing about Doom is that if the Afflicted unit also has Reraise, when the Doom timer expires, Doom just simply wears off on them like when positive buffs like Haste, Protect, Shell wears off. I think this is due to both effects happening simultaneously in the same turn
Shell only reduce cast white spells by ½ but potions will not be affected during usage , potions even heal your ally even when cast reflect or equip gear with reflect. Edit : heal spells
I once had one of the assassins used Allure on Ramza, the mission where you can learn Ultima, and he was Charmed and Invited on the enemy's team. Unfortunately I lost that battle so not sure what would happen if I'd won.
FFT Confused is one of the most frustrating but funniest and most creative effects I have seen on a RPG. You know, frankly I'm a bit tired to see how confused in other games are just "Punch yourself" 20:16 Almost kills a monster with two punches Game: "Tamed!" Reis: "And that's how you persuade them to join your cause"
Protect and Shell are so weird in this game. They are not directly reduce incoming damage, instead they reduce the attacker/caster final damage/accuracy(for status effect or break equipment) Do u truly want the enemy to use Entice? lol
Technically speaking its really weird but without going into the fine details I do like the 33% reduction straight up lol With Entice even if the enemy were to use it, in most cases I don't see it landing often since good MA and zodiac signs are needed lol
@@J7Jase I already tested the Entice. The AI will not use it most of the time especially if they also have Steal Heart and even when they only have Entice. Seems like the AI will go for the highest hit rates first. It is so frustrating to wait for them to actually land. So I opt to not letting them use instead lol. It is better that way.
Well of course speechcraft abilities don't work on a target that is asleep. They aren't hearing the words. Its an inflicted sleep, not like a normal sleep so mere words wouldn't wake you from it.
if your opponent has mp switch and you sleep them they wont wake up if they take damage if mp switch procs they just lose mp until mp reaches 0 or mp switch fails so you could sleep a guy and then the other player tries to wake up their sleeping ally but it wont work, they lose mp, and still asleep. if the opponent was silly enough to use mp switch on a magic user this could be a huge way to gain the advantage lol
Wouldn't it be better to add "WoTL" to the title? Many items or skills you refer to are either WoTL-only content or have different names. Great information though, fantastic job!
Thanks for the comment I could add WOTL but I noticed in terms of views and search results, it just doesn't help the video overall unfortunately in terms of analytics.
I didn’t know so many status effect lasted until cured!
It is insane and the final one can't be cured at all lol. But its an extreme case the Malboro spores lol
Wow, very well put together! Thank you for the extensive dive into the status systems. Awesome.
Thanks so much man! This video was a long one in the process to make lol but happy with it
To be turned into a Marlboro, what a nightmare...
Thanks for watching the video that far! And yeah that negative status ailment is insane or may I just say permanent status that can't be reversed my goodness
@@J7Jase Can't be reversed ? Damn, I'll never let my characters go near them ever again.
@@manjitahzan9577 yeah in most cases you don't have to worry as only Great Malboros can use it if somebody has Beast Master/Monster Skill around
Very useful info, thanks!
Thank you 👍✨
I like this longer video
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent video as always! I’ve always wondered if an enemy can entice your characters. I’ve never seen it done.
Thanks man as always! Yeah I'm really curious too. Seems like it isn't perhaps a thing? I know it works in a pvp setting though lol but never ever did see the enemy AI ever use it
Fantastic video idea. Great job!
Thanks! Can't wait to see the pvp tournament 👍✨
I gotta mute everything and watch the archive lol rather not be spoiled
Impressive video sir. Happy Sunday btw.
Thank you this one took a while to do everything lol
This video is so well made and you cover things I didn't even know about! This deserves way more views!
Thank you and I hope it does too lol so many status effects in this game
something neat about vamp, the loose condition also applys to your foes as well.
That and being Petrified yes
One of the funny thing is when you are under Toad effect you can still use the Black Mage's Toad spell to cast Toad on yourself to undo Toad effect or make other become Toad like you.
Great point FFT mechanics are just so weird and awkward.
I had no idea the malboro status existed, even after playing the game many times.
FFT has a lot of stuff and weird mechanics and status effects where there are just so many rules and differences lol.

Hi. Can you make a video on when and how you set up for increasing or decreasing bravery and or faith.

I have a video on that topic.

My Question, Does Shell also reduce Healing from Spells like Cure, Cura, etc just like in the Main Numbered titled series?
Only attacking spells?
I will check it later
Tested. Shell will not reduce the healing spells power.
Shell only reduce cast white spells by ½ but potions will not be affected during usage , potions even heal your ally even when cast reflect or equip gear with reflect.
Edit : heal spells
It doesn't which is really cool

Allure works just like Charm. So it isn't permanent, just for the battle. So you would be all g
can you dispell float if they are getting float from their boots?
also what would happen if someone lost their float while being over lava? die?
No you can't and that situation I never tried, would be cool to test but there is literally only one place for it.
Such a wonderful video
Thank you!

Another nice guide.
Thanks so much 👍 took time but was worth it and fun
can you remove oil by jumping in water, or depth 2 water? maybe im dreaming
No

How to entice or invite a byblios demon?
He is unlocked in the final battle of Midlight's Deep. Make sure you finish the battle and he doesn't turn into a crystal or treasure chest
I think they should’ve included the “pig” status effect since we already have swine sprite models 🐷
Would’ve paired nicely with the chickens too 🐔
Lol I love animals that would be an awesome farm or petting zoo simulator

@@J7Jase That makes sense. The content applies to both anyway, one just needs to translate the WoTL terms (which I never played) to regular FFT, haha.
I swear to god, i've beaten this game like 4 times, i didn't know Malboro status was a thing.
In most cases you will never see it at all lol and you don't have to worry about it, but I thought I show it and demonstrate it.
There is a lot in here. Where is charm? Ok I found the charm spot. Apparently undead humans can not be charmed?
I never actually tried to charm the ones unique to the story battles before.
5 Stars
Thanks Rock!
