Malak's Nether magic works based on low Faith, not Bravery. 3 Faith Malak is a magic immune beast of a caster. He also has a weird interaction with the Faith status effect, and can pretty much one-tap anything afflicted by it, making him a good Mystic / Oracle synergist as well.

Orlando being so OP is partly the reason I don't like to play Vanilla anymore. This is why when I play tactics, I play the omega mod or the 1.3 mod, a real challenge to the game.

I remember the Elmdore fight at Limberry Castle being pretty tough too. Surprised that didn't get mentioned. But glad to see the Velius fight up top. My first time playing as a kid I had to restart my whole run because of getting stuck there!

Advance was okey. you can work around the judge system. One of my favs since I started with that. Done with A2 and honestly, it's story is dragging. But the gameplay is not much different from advance so you'll still enjoy the game. But the OG and WOTL is still waiting for me to play.

I will never forget the first time I beat Belias on the OG psx release. it took me two months, and on the list attempt, I had taken out the adds and had MOSTLY a full party wailing on that four armed sadist, only for him to finish his cast of cyclops and obliterated my whole team who were on their last legs. then I had a moment of confusion because the game over screen wasnt popping up, thought the game froze for a split second before a dragoon that I had COMPLETLY forgotten about dropped out of the sky and landed the last hit, taking the bastard out. it was the first time I ever cried out of joy.

It's been more than a decade since I last played WOTLK in a private server and transmog was not a thing, I presume this was never an option even in Blizzard for older expansions I guess. Anyway, I still remember I liked the Furious Two Handed Mace and the sheer disappointment for having to move to Wrathful one.

Cloud takes too much work at lvl 1 and is limited by being forced to have short charge and materia blade 10 power at all times, but he isn't a bad character by all means and is fun to use. I'd happily take him over broken Orlando

I know this is a very late comment on a 2+ year old video but if you find the time to answer I'd really appreciate it! How do you tend to deal with enemies that ignore things like Shiradori entirely? For example if a Dark Knight was an enemy/boss or there were bosses similar to Orlandeau that flat have 100% guaranteed hits, is there a way to take less damage from them or do you just have to rush them or deal with them from a distance?

I love the idea of Dark Knight for Ramza. It contrasts the Holy Knight archetype associated with the church (which turns out to be corrupt) and it matches the Heretic label that the church puts on him. Plus, if bad guys can use the power of light for evil, it only makes sense that the good guys can use the power of darkness for good. Plus plus, it gives Ramza (or any character, really) access to sword skills, so your main character can feel more equal to characters like Agrias and Orlandu.

you can grind you Brave and Faith to about 96 or 97. Go back and forth at a low map and keep Yelling to raise your brave to max for that fight. Finish the fight and you will add some Brave to your stats. Same with Faith. Careful with high Faith though, as it makes you very vulnerable to magic attacks though.

I'd always wished Ramza got some sort of special knight class like all of his brothers.

Dual Wield Monk is my go to. I often go with Mana Shield for his reaction command since he's not using that MP for anything anyway
