This has been the best tyre shine video I have ever seen! And I have watched a lot of car cleaning vids. As a long time Jay Leno fan, I know which product to buy. Today I read an article about how Jay has settled his end of life arrangements, as he is 77 years old. Over the years he has been the lucky purchaser of many automobiles and motorcycles sold to him by the survivors of the original owners, after they passed on. Jay has arranged his collection will go into the Jay Leno Museum.
I've been detailing cars for almost 30 years. My go-to tire polish has been Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel. I apply it with a clean foam applicator pad. I allow it to dry for 15-20 minutes on each tire. Oh, I also remember when this product first came out, Meguiar's offered it in both a low & high gloss formula. The current product is between both of those products. Some customers use to request their tires not come out so " shiny ".
2 100% cotton Terry Clothes Start the car & turn the front defogger on cold ( especially of you're cleaning outside or if in high temperatures ). Dampen one and wipe entire inside of windshield Take the dry one to wipe off any water spots. Important note DO NOT use any fabric softener when washing any towels/chamois you use on any car. And allow to air dry instead of machine drying if possible.
although that does leave the tire looking good. I applied this and let it sit for 10 hours and then drove it the next morning and when I got out of my car I saw tire shine sling on the fender and part of the driver and passenger side door and this is with me wiping it off after applying. I prefer water based tire shines such as Carpro Perl, Superior Aqua Gloss and Meguiars Hyper Dressing and also Chemical Guys VRT.
It wasn't tested, but I use cover all by superior products. To my knowledge, only oreily carries it, but it is by far the best, longest lasting and wettest looking tire shine out there. It's a spray on, and if you let it sit like you're supposed to after applying, you will not have any slinging going down the road. I wish it was compared in the video to see where it stands. But it is the best I've ever tried.
I was just shopping for a tire shiner yesterday. It's like you were reading my mind Project Farm. You are indeed the best tester out there. Now I know which one I want. Thanks!
I suggested tire coatings. Right now I use aerosol silicone interior shine from Eagle One because it doesn't sling but it takes a lot of product to have a uniform outcome.
I went through all your videos recently. Looking for something to watch. You’ll should be proud to know I’ve watched literally every single one of them. 11/10
Great video. As a professional detailer I use Perl and Darkside mostly. One of the most important things to me is whether the product slings at high speeds. If you end up doing a round two for this, I would recommend mounting a tire on something and spinning it at 50 mph with a white panel behind to calculate sling.
A 42 year old rust bucket with dull tires is what I drive😬 however this is a perfect video for me to watch, being I used to detail other people's cars 40 years ago. You make Sundays more exciting, thank you!

In the military, we would use transmission fluid. It makes the tires nice and shiny for a parade. It also eats the rubber and ruins the tire, but with an unlimited budget that was never a problem 😂
Stuff works good on Wheels Too 😊 Collecting dirt and brake dusts is one thing. Being able to actually Wipe It OFF,.. Big Time BONUS 😂 ... give the wheels a wipe

In 1972, EPA issued a cancellation order for DDT based on its adverse environmental effects, such as those to wildlife, as well as its potential human health risks. A buddy of mine reccomended P&S double black, and I absolutely love it, if you go through a muddy patch, you can usually wash the tire off and clean it up really well. It lasts quite a while too, it’s a little labor intensive to apply, but you can buy it by the gallon, and it’s the best tire shine I’ve used to date. Extremely glossy finish and it works great on the interior too. It’s a water based dressing, so it’s not oily either, just really shiny.
This has been personally useful to me, as I drive a lot, and I want to keep my tires as long as I can to save money, helping my tires to last longer has helped a lot.
Love the jay lenos garage products. I wash all my cars myself. Product wise jay lenos garage has become my go to for quality. I've come to learn he made his own products so he can take care of his own personal cars.
This was an excellent video Bought a new truck for budiness, want appearance to be clean. Next to 0 experience in vehicle detailing. Wanted no bs opinion on the best to use for tires. Would love to eventually see sensor brand testing or ignition system testing. Like coils, spark plugs, crank sensor, maf, oil pressure sensor sensor etc. There has always been a debate about what manufacturer is the most consistent and reliable. I only trust you to ever do this. All the love all the power!
I literally thumbs up every video before I i even watch it because I know PF makes great content without having sponsored ads and I don't want to forget to like it after watching. Keep up the good work!
Great video! The key to Black Magic is wiping off the excess. I spray it on a foam applicator then wipe onto the tire. This way you don’t get that splotchy and uneven look or poor distribution situation you experienced. Black magic looks great… if you are into that shiny “wet” look, but the effect is short lived so you have to reapply. So it’s more of a car show type product.
Thank You! Now I know which brand to buy! Also, I'm very impressed with your knowledge and all the time you put into your videos! My boys and I really enjoy watching them!🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲
I've been using the Armorall tireshine for years without any problems. I like that you don't have to wipe it down. It's a no drip, self spreading tire shine that leaves a nice even coat with a good shine that lasts to the next wash.
I agree! I used it a lot on my Harley to detail the engine and transmission casing. The amorall was cheap, so you just doused the engine and everything with it and it got into all the cooling fins and cracks and self dried. Resisted the high temps of the engine and lasted a long time and gave the bike a deep black look. It was the perfect stuff.
I dont mean to be too critical, but the most important part of proper tire shine is cleaning and prep. looking at this video, these tires were not properly cleaned enough.... This would have a huge effect on appearance and durability of most of these products. Either way you do great work and i LOVE your videos! Keep it up, man.
Great video. I have been using Car Guys on my truck for awhile now. It also works great on other black plastic areas as well like mud flaps. air dams, plastic bumper areas, and my soft tonneau cover. It's best to wait 48 hours after application before exposing it to any moisture or it will run on any painted surfaces below it. After waiting it does dry pretty much to the touch.
Been using Car Guys for three years, used to try every tire detailer out there and am just really happy w/ this brand and glad to see it also did well in this test.
No wonder I noticed such a massive difference for dust sticking between using Maguires tire shine (worst place finish for dust), to then switching to Adam’s graphene (1st place finish for dust with a rinse)!!!! It’s like night and day and your tests confirm it. Thank you!!!!!
you did a best "diesel oil" brand video, and it was absolutely brilliant! I'd love to see you do a "Best Gas Engine Oil Brand" video!! You are so detailed and thorough with your testing! I appreciate your method and dedication!
I have a Cuisinart 8" skillet that is supposed to be non-stick... I just scrambled an egg and now have to take care of the mess. I'd love to see a test of non-stick cookware that doesn't cost a fortune. Yours is one of the few channels that I definitely subscribe to and you provide amazing reviews!!! THANK YOU!!!
Another very thorough comparison. I am a huge fan of the black magic "matte finish" tire wet, it's only available in a foam. I mostly like it for the appearance rather than other factors being tested here though
Please please please review steam mops! I’ve searched near and far for a good review and I can’t find any. You have raised my standards so much! Keep up the great work!
As a Detailer this is very informative, and I agree such a wide spread result for all tire shines available. Wish they had a bit more consistency with no oil residue, repels dirt and water, lasts more than a wash and doesn’t sling. Very informative video!

In the military, we would use transmission fluid. It makes the tires nice and shiny for a parade. It also eats the rubber and ruins the tire, but with an unlimited budget that was never a problem 😂
lol
“Waste is not the unfortunate byproduct, is is the goal”
Nicee
That's funny, but terrible too
Government departments never leave money on the table. Burn that budget allotment so you can ask for more the next year.
Stuff works good on Wheels Too 😊
Collecting dirt and brake dusts is one thing.
Being able to actually Wipe It OFF,.. Big Time BONUS 😂
... give the wheels a wipe
Thanks for the feedback.

Oh, I expect Payment.
That Shiny Stuff Ain't Cheap 😂
But just taking my glasses off works pretty good too, so 🤣 🤣
.... we learn with age, whether we want to or not 👍
Oh yes. I have never found a tire dressing that actually lasts and isn't so shiny it looks fake. Thanks for this review!
Thank you very much!
Superior products cover all is the best , dirt doesn’t stick and it’s just looks and stays clean doesn’t really shine
@@ProjectFarm no problem
Groits Matte Tire Dressing is good stuff! Smells wonderful too. I fall into the same category where I don't like the super shiny tire but prefer a subdued natural rubber look.
@@tonyb7748 I will try that.
This man is a hero to us all and does it so professionally.
Thanks!
VIDEO IDEA: How about a video comparing (safe) pest control that best kill bugs on your vegetable garden and fruit trees? Eg neem oil or /and Dawn soap.
Is Dawn really a better choice? How about neem oil???
Thank you for the video idea!
@BigOsTaco use anything that will not kill everything, castile and neem and nematodes all work and won't kill bees
DDT
@@alinatamashevich3354 troll, dude that shit is poison
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, the federal agency with responsibility for regulating pesticides before the formation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 1970, began regulatory actions in the late 1950s and 1960s to prohibit many of DDT's uses because of mounting evidence of the pesticide's declining benefits and environmental and toxicological effects.
In 1972, EPA issued a cancellation order for DDT based on its adverse environmental effects, such as those to wildlife, as well as its potential human health risks. Since then, studies have continued, and a relationship between DDT exposure and reproductive effects in humans is suspected, based on studies in animals. In addition, some animals exposed to DDT in studies developed liver tumors. As a result, today, DDT is classified as a probable human carcinogen by U.S. and international authorities.
Car Guys for the win!
Thank you!
0:26 That's how I like them!😂
🤦
@leomonk974 cheer up brother
The best TH-camr out there right now. Keep it up
Thanks, will do!
I was really hoping Superior Cover All was part of the test
Added to my list for round 2, if there's enough interest
Yesssss
@@ProjectFarm Cover all is very close to Miracle glaze but Miracle glaze beats it out.
. Not true
@@mistersecret88 Have you ever used miracle glaze? Bet you never heard of it. I have used both. Cover all i use when I'm waiting for my order of miracle glaze to come in. It's good but don't last nearly as long as miracle glaze.
It's that time again y'all
Thank you very much!
Can you do a video on the best stump removal?
Thank you for the video idea!
I've got a few stumps out back that you can test on 😂
You are the most reliable reviewer on TH-cam. Thank you!
Thanks and you are welcome!
I'm still laughing from last week's video
Thanks for sharing!
Don't know if it's here yet but......meguiars foam used with ultimate all wheel is the best combo. Tried at least 20 of each. 23 year auto parts worker.....
Great feedback! Thank you
Vídeo idea, best hair clipper

How about Air Purifiers? Hepa, Charcoal, ionic and other other types out there.. Can do it againsts smoke, dust, allergens and whatnot..
Please compare the new electric lawnmowers
Thank you for the video idea!
Thanks for sharing.
Amazing effort on the reviewer's part. So detailed and informative. Thank you!
This has been personally useful to me, as I drive a lot, and I want to keep my tires as long as I can to save money, helping my tires to last longer has helped a lot.
Thanks for sharing.
Love the jay lenos garage products. I wash all my cars myself. Product wise jay lenos garage has become my go to for quality. I've come to learn he made his own products so he can take care of his own personal cars.

Better review than any other Car Detailing Channel on TH-cam
Thanks!
This was an excellent video
Bought a new truck for budiness, want appearance to be clean. Next to 0 experience in vehicle detailing. Wanted no bs opinion on the best to use for tires. I am extremily happy with the adams product and for your effort in helping me select.
I will recommend your channel to everyone whenever relevant and am subscribed.
Thank you and God bless
Thanks! Thanks so much!
Thanks for the suggestion.
I literally thumbs up every video before I i even watch it because I know PF makes great content without having sponsored ads and I don't want to forget to like it after watching. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Thanks! Thanks for sharing.
Thank You! Now I know which brand to buy! Also, I'm very impressed with your knowledge and all the time you put into your videos! My boys and I really enjoy watching them!🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲
Thanks so much! Glad to hear!
I've been using the Armorall tireshine for years without any problems. I like that you don't have to wipe it down. It's a no drip, self spreading tire shine that leaves a nice even coat with a good shine that lasts to the next wash.
Thanks for sharing.
When I buy new products I always come here first! Todd is the man!
Thanks!
I dont mean to be too critical, but the most important part of proper tire shine is cleaning and prep. looking at this video, these tires were not properly cleaned enough.... This would have a huge effect on appearance and durability of most of these products. Either way you do great work and i LOVE your videos! Keep it up, man.
Thanks, will do! Thanks for the constructive feedback.
Thanks! Thanks for sharing.
one of the best channels on TH-cam. do a comparison test on NVGs.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
Been using Car Guys for three years, used to try every tire detailer out there and am just really happy w/ this brand and glad to see it also did well in this test.
Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoy how thorough you are with everything. It’s like Consumer reports witn testing for the real world
Thanks!
Superior Products Cover All is the best one that I have used. I was impressed with how with the black magic performed on those tests!
Thanks for the feedback.
I seriously always thought they were just the exact same product with different lables. This was very informative! Thank you!
Thanks and you are welcome!
The best channel for being an informed consumer!!
Thanks!
I brought a certain brand off of Amazon it’s absolutely crap this vid has helped me chose wisely next time.

lol I literally bought new car shine 2 days ago. Now I know what to buy next time! Great work as always.
Thanks! Thanks for the feedback.
For over 12 years it’s been Chemical Guys and Armorall for me. Good review
Thanks! Thanks for sharing.
The most thorough review I have every seen!
Thanks!
takes a lot of patients to do all these test...u are our youtube hero keep the good videos coming👌🤝
Thanks, will do!
No wonder I noticed such a massive difference for dust sticking between using Maguires tire shine (worst place finish for dust), to then switching to Adam’s graphene (1st place finish for dust with a rinse)!!!! It’s like night and day and your tests confirm it. Thank you!!!!!
You are welcome!
you did a best "diesel oil" brand video, and it was absolutely brilliant! I'd love to see you do a "Best Gas Engine Oil Brand" video!! You are so detailed and thorough with your testing! I appreciate your method and dedication!
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the feedback.
Please please please review steam mops! I’ve searched near and far for a good review and I can’t find any. You have raised my standards so much! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the suggestion.
As a Detailer this is very informative, and I agree such a wide spread result for all tire shines available. Wish they had a bit more consistency with no oil residue, repels dirt and water, lasts more than a wash and doesn’t sling.
Very informative video!
Thanks!
Best impact sockets or impact universal sockets is something I need to see done on your channel! My favorite channel on TH-cam
