Re-Ranking Every Battlefront II (2005) Map Worst to Best

- After four years and four days, I've finally decided to remake a video that I was really proud of. However, with my opinions changing and getting better at editing, I decided to remake it for my big Christmas Special.
These list choices are my honest opinions so if you have a different opinion on said map, don't start a flamewar. We're here to civilly discuss it. And let me know how I can improve since this is my yearly video project and it took quite some time. Criticism is greatly appreciated. Please and thank you.

Geonosis on Battlefront II was a huge downgrade; I really prefer the OG and don’t know why they changed it up so much.
This, I can't believe he didn't do a comparison!
My theory is that they had to make sure all land maps except Hoth, didn't have any flying vehicles. The air vehicles were reworked to where you can only exit a vehicle while not in the air. While I get this for space battles, why not include them in more ground maps?

@@Kirbymasters87 All the OG maps on II look shrunk especially the DLC maps and Hoth; all the OG maps seem shrunk on II and it’s really weird, everything feels condensed whereas in the original, the scale of the maps and the battles always feels bigger; also the removal of going prone in II is another baffling decision.
@@mrenzyme9715The original game didn’t have a sprint function, which is why it took longer to cross maps on foot.

I appreciate you including the battlefront 2 xbox dlc. So many battlefront lists don't bother to include them despite them literally being official content. The newer PC mod is literally identical to the xbox dlc now as well.
I have to say, Rhen Var maps are my two favorite from both games, they are just do much fun.

Hot take: I prefer the gameplay and graphics of the OG because to me it what abut being a soldier in those battles and the heroes were stupidly OP in II

Good content, but if you’re looking to improve I would try to sound more natural when u read the script/notes u wrote. Try to make it sound more like your having a conversation with the listener who is in the room with u(hypothetically,) and less like you are reading a grocery list to ReListen to at the grocery store. Hope u don’t take it wrong just think that would help, good content though! Take care.

There’s a tight knit but dedicated community for the heroes versus villains server that I played with a lot when it was released on steam, those guys know everything about that mode and it turns out there’s a ton of hidden mechanics, it’s incredibly in depth and a lot of fun once you Understand every heroes hidden mechanics, as well as the hidden mechanics of the map itself. For example, Obi-Wan and Anakin Dash attack cannot be blocked if they are moving towards the center of the map, and There’s a tech called ramping that allows you to run up walls and keep running through the air with any character, every hero has a special mechanic, and the community plays a lot of one on one duels, which really lets those mechanics shine
Great video, but honestly, Dagobah, rhen-var citadel, Naboo theed, are my favourite maps in the game. 😄
Oh, I'd also love to see a starwars battlefront 1 maps video, Tatooine dune sea is one of my favourite maps in that game.
Thanks! I do have Ranking the Battlefront 2004 maps in mind, but will take some time since my consistent changes in my taste for the 17 maps in the game.

Rhen Var: Citadel is also my favorite. Honestly I think it’s possibly the best designed 3rd person shooter map of all time. It has combat of all distances and verticalities, good cover, and great flank routes.

Nice list, but you really need to polish more your editing. You repeat yourself several times in the video.
Returned to this game and suddenly all the bigger maps became better because the smaller maps in online matches are just grenade/detpack spam fests.

Battlefront 2 really needed Factor 5's help with the space combat.
Too bad they weren't around to help, just imagine if we got Rouge Squadron-styled ship combat instead...

Right up to the very end, I agree completely with your list. But Mustafar should've been #1 and Rhen Var Citadel at #2 Battle of Hoth at #3

I could do one for the 2004 game, but I'm not too big in the EAFront games sadly so I'll have to pass on the EAFront ones.
@@Kirbymasters87that would be cool, the first one will forever be my favourite, because it was the first star wars game ive ever played back then, and i havent even watched the movies at that time. You can imagine how confused yet amazed i was when i saw the cutscenes
Worst for me is naboo, on galactic conquest the AI seems to bee line it to naboo and try and take it back the moment i take it from them. I swear iv played more matchs on naboo then any other map and the enemys seems to always take points the moment i leave them. My favorite map is Hoth or Mos Eisley.
I personally like Dagobah not as much as some maps but I agree it is a lower tier map plus the space battles I’m not a huge fan of it I think battlefront 3 would have made it more likable cuz space to ground

Honestly kinda agree, I feel like battlefront 2 needed more time in the oven but couldn’t because lucusarts wanted the game out to coincide with revenge of the sith.
Nah. Theres a reason why BF2 js more beloved to this day, and that's bevause it improved on a lot of the things BF1 did and included Space battles.
