This is hands down the best channel for OG BF2 facts. What could've kept the BF2 2017 alive is a multiplayer server list, better single player options and a wider range of mod tools (Similar to OG). Additionally there were too many game modes that people didn't play.
While I disagree on a few points about GA, Geonosis was arguably an amazing improvement and I really wish they added at least one more GA map for the OT and the ST with the same philosophy.
One thing that pissed me off was how restricted the non-GA game modes were in terms of vehicles you could control. A Hoth Battle without ATATs and speeders is like pancakes without syrup, but that's what supremacy on Hoth is. In the OG game, those modes had the vehicles because the environment would be incomplete without them, and they were fully controllable by the player and aided the team in battle.
Battlefront 2 2017 is a worthy successor to Battlefront 2 2005, it’s the best Star Wars multiplayer game in my opinion, graphically it’s still stunning after 5 years, if EA didn’t stop support for it we would’ve more clone wars heroes like Ahsoka and Ventress. The campaign for BF2 2005 is better than the 2017 one but overall the multiplayer for both games are fantastic.
I enjoy them for different reasons. I play battlefront 2017 for the atmosphere, linearity (more chaotic and dense), and hero gameplay. I play battlefront 2005 for the freedom, vehicle gameplay, maps (bespin platforms, kashyyyk harbor, Tatooine dune seas, etc), and offline aspects. Both games were designed for different things and they excel at those different things.
I would have put them on par or even 2017 being better if they had Galactic Conquest and made all modes playable offline with bots, like in 2005. A beautiful (mostly) multiplayer-only game is worthless when the servers go down, playerbase dies or is left with only a ton of hackers left.
you forgot that in classic 2 or more players can control vehicles also on tanks and you can took engineer class and act like a astromech droid by jump and staying on the tank

The thing is, im playing both games on the xbox one rn. And i could play tge 2005 galactic Conquest-for like 2 or 3 hours straight up without getting bored. In the 2017 bf2, it all started pretty good with full lobbys and really fun battles. But since EA gave up on it the waiting for a round to start got really annoying ans made me play the standard coop mode. And what really botherd me is that u actually have only felucia, the CIS dreadnought and Geonosis where ur attacking witz the Republic even tho that after playing for an hour u already seen like everything. Tge 2017 one had tge potential to be way better then the 2005 one but its sad that its not that much of an improvement to it's origin
For me, I don't know what it is, but I also find the original a lot more immersive. Maybe it's the simplicity of it or something, where no one's using weird power ups or all different kinds of weapons or something? I don't know. But I feel like a part of the battle a lot more in the originals
Except the new bf 2 only allows this in multiplayer. Bf 3 would have had single player galactic assault . And if wouldn't be on rails, allowing you to use more strategy with walkers
Capital supremacy is Titan mode from Battlefield 2142. Both sides have a Titan that you have to break the shields by controlling the command posts that fires the missiles. Once the sheilds are down you can land on the opposing side's Titan. Whoever destroys the opposing side's ship from the inside or outside wins. The difference being that it's all in the same map and both sides have a Titan (the commanding player could move them during the game!). Once destroyed you'd have a countdown to make it to land alive, earning a badge. So it is similar to Battlefront II's 2005 space battles, but on land and with infantry on the ground. Capital Supremacy is also a spiritual sucessor to Carrier Assault, a mode introduced by DICE in Battlefield 4, that plays very similarly.
You've brought up excellent points about both games. Captial Supreemcy hit the nail on combat. Wide open combat to start the match, then linear objective based combat later. I do still wish aircraft was aviable in CS, expanding the sandbox more. But youre right, CS should be the main game mode of battlefront like how operations soon became the go to gamemode of Battlefield(operations is better than conquest fight me). I do wish we had more control in the CS game mode. More vehicles with mutiple seats to encourage team work. Also i would love it if we got to piolt a LAAT and bring our friends to the ship on our own. Make it like a "trech run" section to see how many ships can land inside the hanger
I completely disagree with you. Supremacy highlights just how small the maps are. Removing vehicle combat just sucks severely limiting the player and going up to take the capital ship gets old like the second time you do it
I think the most ironic thing about Battlefront is that the old ones were inspired by Battlefield, but the new ones, which were actually made by the Battlefield developers, were more like Call of Duty, if anything.
Which is why classic battlefront and battlefront 2 will forever be superior to the bullshit we got years ago. And i love that our classic battlefronts are still alive and strong today.
As much as the reboot suffered in the beginning, adding things like Geonosis, Capital Supremacy, and Co-Op really helped save this lackluster game and turn it into the game it was always meant to be and a worthy successor to the OGBF2.
@@aniplays948 Also BF2EA's campaign is pathetically bad. Not to mention that both games are in different SW continuites. The OG is in the EU/Movieverse, the EA one is in the shitty TCW/Disney Canon.
The similar game mode of capture the flag for the EA game is strik/extraction, and is a realy good game mode, my favorite PvP infentry game mode of the game.
Clone Wars FTW, I do like the original BF2 how it's not fixated on rails cause it's frustrating to defend until the final wave Now a Battle Royal between Stormtroopers sounds like a good idea basically like if they're in a simulation for a Death Trooper promotion Plus we need a horde mode for BF like a melee only droids for the clones and zombie Troopers for the Stormtroopers and Rebels
A cod zombies mode or a better survival mode like the one from mw3 would be fun modes. I loved Ewok hunt, but it got stale very quick because of the lack of maps
Didn't have time to clarify, although I don't like it always being a very long match, I was saying the feeling of both sides constantly trying their hardest for such a long time hasn't been replicated since, especially winning that feels like an actual battle. The matches could have defs been shorter (Faster base counter etc)
Winning a 3 hour battle playing as the republic during the double reinforcements event on Kamino supremacy was literally the best online experience Sinnoh and I ever had. It was the most difficult and nerve-wracking game we've ever played but that just made the victory taste even better. After battling swarms of Droideka that infinitely cap command posts by rolling around with 80% damage reduction endlessly without any tanks to act as an easy counter, followed by the most cracked B2 jet droids, Grievous and Maul players to back them up, watching your team push through 3 hours of hell and seeing 300+ kills as your score knowing that means you killed every player on the enemy team at least 15x over by the end of the match. So many people would quit half way through, but those who stuck it through till the end would experience the most epic victory ever to be possible on an online multiplayer game. For the republic 🫡
@invaderIRK1 playing 3 hours of a game session in a singular match is a chore, most of a time it is more then many ppl can afford to play. Unless you are a student and it is the only game you play ever, of course. Enemy players leaving this matches not because they are tilted of your magnificent play on fifth capital ship phase. But because sometime ppl have other stuff to do after such a long drown out slug of a game. Imo, I there was some kind of sudden death mechanic after, like, an hour, this would be much better.
@@dronnovik95 I was still in Uni back then, but even so, playing a 3 hour match meant that it was the last game . Even if it was the fist and only game of the night. We'd feel pretty damn contempt winning that game and hopping off till next time. And when I spoke of players leaving the match, i was talking about Players from both teams. Of course not everyone had the time or energy to keep going. But those who did like us were in it for the challenge and enjoyed it. We weren't giving up, we were there to win (was what i meant by that). To you it might not have been worth it, but to us it's what we were there for. Thats all i was saying.
Battlefront also had a similar mode to Battlefield, which is Assualt (I believe this is what Geonosis and Hoth were). In which it plays like a normal conquest mode, however the defending side has the majority of the flags and the assaulting side has some sort of advantage and starts on one specific side of the map and has to work it's way towards the other flags.
The asymmetric and phase-based game modes of the newer battlefronts are the worst. They should have gone with conquest and space battle similar to the predecessor from the start. I have played the space battle from battlefront 2005 and it still holds up today, while the space battle game mode from battlefront 2017 does not
Although it didn't have a good variety of maps, I thought the maps in Battlefront 2015 were beautiful, possibly the best in the series. The dingy halls of the Cloud City carbon freezing chambers always stuck out to me, and that's not even mentioning the beautiful ica caves of Hoth or the sulfuric flats of Sullust. BFII 2017 has some great maps too, Starkiller Base and Crait come to mind, but nothing as beautiful as BF 2015. That said it we're looking at map layout and variety, I'd have to go with BF 2004 or BFII 2005. Every map from those games felt unique, whether it's the 7 CP Rhen Var: Citadel or the 4 CP Tantive IV. Endor was long and narrow with wide open spaces, Mustafar was clustered and chaotic. Every little map had so many Easter Eggs, a great example being the Death Star with its playable trash compactor. Polis Massa lets you walk in space but only as the Droids. I mean come on. Every map is a classic. 👏 Comparatively, a lot of maps from BFII 2015 feel kind of same-y. Every -conquest- Supremacy map has exact 5 CPs arranged in roughly an X pattern, and most Galactic Assault maps feel straight and narrow.

As a Battlefront 2017 veteran, no class or reinforcement is EVER useless. No matter the gamemode or circumstance. So that part I have to disagree with.
Thanks for bringing up the problems of GA. Some special units becoming useless because of the map lay out change was always annoying. The grenade spam at the end of the match was always annoying because of the tight spaces also. When all the maps were released for supremacy, it was my favorite mode but the lack of mixed heroes and only the prequel era getting the most full lobbies really hurt the replayability over time for me. Now the only modes getting full lobbies for me are co-op and HvV.😟
I just think the game is too repetitive. It doesn’t offer much of a sandbox experience. It has good mechanics and controls, but everything just feels very scripted and linear.
@@paulallen2680 I agree. EA battlefront 2 isn't a star wars "game". Its a star wars "simulator" roller coaster where the players are guided by the devs wishes. I don't think Dice even cared that much about hero design because of how the maps were made to force players closer to eachother. With Kashyyk for example, the 2nd phase inside the tanks is probably the worst 2nd phase in GA because both sides are GARUNTEED to lose heroes because the of the cramped space. Over time I see more people trash Dice as a studio so at least I'm not the only person with these feelings. I just wish there were more sources to understand Dice's mindset.
EAfront is trash. Plain and simple. I bought a key off G2A for EAFront 2, and I'm glad I didn't directly give them any money otherwise I'd have felt ripped off. I only got about 50 hours of gameplay in it before getting bored. It's just Battlefield with a Star Wars reskin. Meanwhile, I have 474 hours in 2004 Battlefront and 598 hours in 2005 Battlefront 2. No Galactic Conquest is a deal breaker for me, but also EAFront has less units (No engineer class is another deal breaker for me). Less weapons. Less maps. Less vehicles. Less heroes. Less modding support (easy to make maps for classic Battlefront). Space battles are also weak in EAFront and the campaign sucks. EAFront only has better graphics and that's about it. I have an RTX 4090 and could play EAfront in fucking 8k at 60fps no problem and I still wouldn't play it. It's just that unlikable. Zero charm of the originals.

EA had the ball super glued to their hand and still fumbled the ball with these games. Might be a unpopular opinion, but I don’t even like the gameplay of these games🤷♂️I think it looks unappealing. Too visually noisy. The hero combat is somehow worse. There’s nothing I like about these games.

I think I already mentioned this in Part 1 - Gameplay
Genosis WOULD be the best GA map if power blast and Iden’s pulse cannon did not exist
I would love a modern Galactic Conquest and GC with online versus multiplayer
Loved the vid! Thanks for the credit in description where you used my gameplay! Much appreciated!
Glad you enjoyed! & no worries, I always try to include other footage not mine in description. & your vids are always look so clean, love the cinematography style you implement.
Your vids are very informative and professionally made. As a Star Wars fan myself, I'm happy to see my gameplay being used for them. If you need anything for your vids in future (footage of specific maps, characters, weapons, etc), feel free to drop a DM and I'll most likely have a vid of it somewhere on the channel which I can source for you (or I'll record new if need be)@@Hero_of_Sinnoh
@@nocommentarygaming546 Thanks appreciate the help! Will do i'll let you know when something comes up :D
My personal best in Capital Supremacy was around 750 kills in one match damn
Ewok Hunt doesn't make much sense in BF2EA, because stormtroopers have night vision.
Love how your videos are simple and literally to the point 🫵🏾🐐
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the fast paced editing and pace.
Removing vehicle combat just sucks severely limiting the player and going up to take the capital ship gets old like the second time you do it
You just need good teammates to win a game.
I liked the rebel mission with the captured walker it was a interesting change of pace
As much as the reboot suffered in the beginning, adding things like Geonosis, Capital Supremacy, and Co-Op really helped save this lackluster game and turn it into the game it was always meant to be and a worthy successor to the OGBF2.
It has become one of the best Multiplayer SW games but it's far from being a worthy successor to the OG BF2.
@@MarsiB013agreed, they missed the mark way too much still. It’s still way too restrictive than the OG BF2 was
@@aniplays948 Also BF2EA's campaign is pathetically bad.
Not to mention that both games are in different SW continuites. The OG is in the EU/Movieverse, the EA one is in the shitty TCW/Disney Canon.
3:34 RIP those snowspeeder pilots
ikr 😂
The similar game mode of capture the flag for the EA game is strik/extraction, and is a realy good game mode, my favorite PvP infentry game mode of the game.
Clone Wars FTW, I do like the original BF2 how it's not fixated on rails cause it's frustrating to defend until the final wave
Now a Battle Royal between Stormtroopers sounds like a good idea basically like if they're in a simulation for a Death Trooper promotion
Plus we need a horde mode for BF like a melee only droids for the clones and zombie Troopers for the Stormtroopers and Rebels
A cod zombies mode or a better survival mode like the one from mw3 would be fun modes. I loved Ewok hunt, but it got stale very quick because of the lack of maps
Thank you for all the use for information about Star Wars balfront 2 Stuff, I did not even know.
3 hour long tennis games are not fun. I dont understand why dude puts it like a good thing
That is 1 of the reasons I really dislike capital supremacy.
Would you recommend me to buy the original Battlefront 2 remaster today?
Battlefront also had a similar mode to Battlefield, which is Assualt (I believe this is what Geonosis and Hoth were).
In which it plays like a normal conquest mode, however the defending side has the majority of the flags and the assaulting side has some sort of advantage and starts on one specific side of the map and has to work it's way towards the other flags.
I feels like galactic conquest would be good if they could integrate what helleiver 2 is doing rn
There is a CTF mode, but no one plays it unless there is a daily.
Strike. The Takadona, Kamino and Death Star map.
Hello discovering the channel , did you tried squad star wars mod ?
Comparatively, a lot of maps from BFII 2015 feel kind of same-y. Every -conquest- Supremacy map has exact 5 CPs arranged in roughly an X pattern, and most Galactic Assault maps feel straight and narrow.
BF2EA looks way better what are you on?
Just because BF2EA doesn't have all of the BFEA's maps doesn't mean it's worse.
@@MarsiB013for some reason, ea battlefront 1 looks like complete garbage on my Xbox series x. I don’t remember it looking this bad and it doesn’t look this bad in videos of it. I wonder if the Xbox series x is doing something to make it look bad
@@paulallen2680 I don't know about that. I have an Xbox One S.
BFEA has beautiful graphics (except for Chewbacca) but BF2EA is better. Surfaces, lightsabers, blaster bolts, textures etc.
@@MarsiB013 for some reason, the game looks good at some parts up close but then it’s get extremely pixelated. The older games I play don’t do this besides ea battlefront 1 which just confuses me
@@paulallen2680 Maybe that's a Series X problem.
Yeah man. The freedom of choice is precisely what's missing from the new Battlefronts. It's why I just can't get into them at all.
Are U getting the classic 2004 remastered battle front 1/2 o can't wait
As a Battlefront 2017 veteran, no class or reinforcement is EVER useless. No matter the gamemode or circumstance. So that part I have to disagree with.
when you will be making part 3 ?
Battlefront is most memorable for the battles with AI. If they wanted to do a big multiplayer battlefront, they should have just reskinned BF4.
If only dice didn’t mess up the franchise. Granted towards the end they did improve but imo it was too late
I never won a match on geonosis with the droids...
Please at least for the first hour title the part 3 video "not out yet :/"
🤣🤣🤣🤣 the algorithm will not forgive us for that one
Geonosis NEVER populates for me 😕
2017 battlefront 2 good
Thanks for bringing up the problems of GA.
Skill issue
@@MarsiB013 You're right. EA does have a skill issue. They can't publish good games.
@@MarsiB013 I think I'm just going to stick with the games I actually enjoy playing, which are the classics. Nothing to do with skill. EAfront is boring. Plain and simple.
@@MarsiB013 You should know how superior the classics are as I've seen your comments on the Battlefront 2 Remastered mod videos.
@@-CrimsoN- It is superior but BF2EA is one of the best Multiplayer SW games still.
i disagree entirely...galactic assault is the only fun mode i never play command post game modes is just boring and dispersive...capital supremacy was a huge let down
The reboot was just not a very well designed multiplayer game, really.
The thumbnail is from bf1 classic not bf2 classic... Maybe actually play the game first.
Who actually plays battlefront EA? The OG games are available on microsoft store for $10 each and are worth every penny. Battlefront EA games are absolute garbage.
Wrong. I play both of them.

Crazy the level of EA apologists. Yes I played both battlefront EAs when they came out. Was actually the biggest waste of money I've ever spent other than battlefield 2042
The reboot sucks
