    I've never experienced the DT900 / DT700 series headphones personally. I was fortunate enough to buy the DT990 for $100USD (here in Australia) NEW on a clearance sale for a big local PC store. I'm very happy with them. :D

    Good thing to know about the "fatigue" is it's when you are wearing the headphones in, it will loosen up with time & that's coming from someone that's been runnning the 1990's for a year now

    • @ConsumerFanatics
      @ConsumerFanatics 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      1990 Pro requires an amp. The 900 X doesn’t. The 1990 is “better” but at double the cost and the added amp requirement.

  • @senpaiy0982
    @senpaiy0982 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Did you ever try out the Tygr 300r from Beyer? A lot of reviewers are comparing this pair to the new 700/900's but so far there seems to be mixed opinions. Either either the Tygr's are far better or the 700/900's for both gaming and music.

    • @x_BraveN
      @x_BraveN ปีที่แล้ว

      TYGRs are the best headphones out right now for all around needs. Especially for imaging in gaming, and the bass is perfect.

    • @senpaiy0982
      @senpaiy0982 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@x_BraveN I actually ended up buying them. And while I do love them, as they are very comfy and are great for immersion and smooth bass, I wouldn't say they are the best for imaging, especially not vertically. I fairly often struggle with this specifically, even tho sound separation is very good with these, it is hard to make out on what level an enemy is compared to you. Definitely a lot better on some of my other audio gear. My Crinacle zero are a must better choice for that even.

    TYGR 300R vs 900 Pro X for FPS Gaming. Still think TYGR 300R is better value at 180 USD (buy directly from Beyerdynamic site! No Bundle!) but I'm curious, fire away!

    • @doobiet
      @doobiet ปีที่แล้ว

      I went w the 900 Pro X for the open stage and vocal clarity. Added Dekoni Fenestrated pads to mprove the bass w/o losing the staging. Pads also eliminated the peaky shrill found in some female vocals. They're also perfectly tuned for FPS and Immersive gaming!

    Yes, they're clamping hard and force me to listen to questionable sound quality. My 700 ProX's have dominant bass and flimsy mids and highs with ok separation but little definition. I would not buy them again for music listening. Compared to my 'Focal Clear's' they are lifeless, dull and unbalanced. I use them for internet audio only when the room gets noisy. Using flawed headphones for sound mixing is a contradiction in itself. Fixing flawed music with flawed equipment? Sure!
