I am somewhat reminded of that monopoly experiment that one player has been given double the dice to roll with everyone else being the same. The favored ones very soon forgot their success is buffeted by the extra dice and started getting confident and bossy around the board, when interviewed about their win they all rattle off about their different "strategy" and forget they had been given double the dice in the game. Sounds like an extremely similar situation here

Tbh playing fav applies when they make a mistake or cause a issue yet they don’t get the same consequences as their fellow mates. But him getting a better promotion like books, movies, frequent updates in model is cuz he brings in the most income. He brings them the most Money, so they spend more money on him. They r not gonna spend more on someone who brings half or less than that income compared to Vox. But they r tons of issues that could have get him banned and yet he is well and fine, that is favouritism and also Lucas shit is pure favouritism.

You got to remember that public perception of Nijisanji was fairly positive around this time last year. Had False came out with this story then, he would've been seen as a mere Niji-Hater with little to no proof of their wrongdoings and screw-ups. Now viewers know the truth about Nijisanji and their shady practices and going after content creators who ultimately give them free publicity.
If this was in based in Singapore? Their contract with be thrown into the Sea by the courts. Riku would be charged with a lot of crimes. Heavy fines and jail terms would be given. He might even get a caning sentence.

It's funny, because NORMALLY the Older Members are the ones who have stable numbers and give lots of money. Yet currently, we're seeing a big drop rate in numbers from a lot of their older talent. Well, this specifically is something False has been holding on to for a YEAR and waiting for the end of WeebCon, so that they wouldn't get fire over purposefully shutting Nijisanji out. Around this time last year, their reputation was spotless and the news wouldn't have gone over as well.
I think a few of these Ls would have come across /anyways/, given how Niji's financial report was already falling before Selen was terminated. We still have yet to actually see how 'negligible' her loss is.
However, yeah a lot of this is coming as a result of them being absolute dogshit at PR and dragging out a well loved talent to try and guillotine her. Zaion wasn't well liked, Nina was dragged to hell, Mysta(?) iirc left without much fanfare. Even now, their massive screw up with Selen caused other beloved, well known talents to feel comfortable and safe speaking out about this (meanwhile Zaion warned us... Nina talked about it... but no one listened because Niji's rep was that great. No one would have listened to False if not for Niji's petty witch hunt against Selen.)
I want you all to remember, from the words of Riku Tazumi himself: long term investment is not the model of Nijisanji. Its sole purpose is to make a quick buck, and not reinvesting back into the talents.
Never in my wildest dreams i've imagined that Holostars EN will outsell 1st male gen of niji. That's just... oof.
Edit: I don't mean to belittle Stars EN here, but it's been the status quo of numbers even in JP (niji males get more audience than stars). They are awesome, hardworking people, but this clearly shows how hard niji (both talent and management) shot themselves in the foot. Several times.

That's real funny. Niji-sanji claiming they have influence in the Japanese voice acting community when they don't. The only part of the Japanese VA industry Nijisanji has any influence in is for the Vtuber sphere. I haven't seen any anime productions or VA talent agencies show they are sponsored by AnyColor over the last 6 years. So it sounds like a very empty threat. Anycolor has lots of money, but do they really have any influence in the Japanese entertainment industry on the voice acting side? I highly doubt it. Niji-sanji doesn't own every single talent agency in Japan. Only their own. So what is this? This is kind of laughable.

i would think that its still better to err on the side of caution in this case. as much as it seems that their connections are practically nonexistent in the public eye, if they even have a hold in the VA industry with their own "livers" the threat isnt as empty as it seems, and VA friends of said livers could be pressured in their home base much easier compared to overseas.
By the sounds of what someone said in the comments of a clip of Michi's stream... Niji is supposed to be getting audits because it is a large enough company, but there are suspiciously no public records or something. Now, I'm not in the know for this sort of thing, but if they are actually supposed to be getting regular audits but somehow aren't... this would mean they have some sort of connection to some group in the government that has enough power in the financial sector to influence quite a lot of different things. So... no, this might not have been just an empty threat -- at least it probably wasn't an empty threat back then. I don't know about now though, seeing as... well... Niji is doing pretty terribly in regards to stock, so presumably their power and hold is waning considerably. So in the current environment... it would be more likely that it is an empty threat, though it would still be safer to err on the side of caution (until we get a public audit coming out on Niji, then we can *probably* assume it is an empty threat with moderate confidence)

Niji claims they can block Japanese voice actors from attending weeb con. Uuh...but do they really have that much pull in the VA(Seiyuu) industry of Japan? All Niji-sanji has is money. I haven't seen them partner with any other major studios or Japanese agencies. So uuh...yeah....it seems like an empty threat. But I don't know the whole inner workings of Japan and how good of a reputation Niji/Anycolor has with the rest of the film/animation/acting industrym so I can only spout speculation.

But outside of that, its pretty much a paper tiger and the organizers of Weebcon cutting ties with them for future events, pretty much says that what its an acceptable loss in the long run. Riku needs to get on his head that most people in the west dont lick the boots of corpos, specially openly hostile ones.

@@Haiyami- It’s most definitely a hollow threat given that two potential candidates backed out the moment they were told they couldn’t do voice acting especially when in a va company like the ones the US has (which one of them is in btw) which means that Anycolor has zero ties to any group in that industry. Even more so when you take in how their talents have had no part in an official anime or game. Heck they prevent their vtubers from doing collaborating songs like Pomo with Konami so it’s clear that they got no actual business connections whatsoever with the other parts of the entertainment industry and taking in how Sméagol like they are in regards of their livers I doubt they’ll ever accept any. Though considering how much of a negative limelight they’ve been in since March, I wouldn’t be surprised if all other companies just avoid Anycolor from now on.
@Haiyami Japan's work culture is different from ours. I'll skip most of the differences, but the one most relevant to that specific threat is the common habit for Japanese companies to "blacklist" troublesome employees. If you raise alarms about harmful practices, your company may tell other conpanies in that career to not hire you, possibly disallowing you from working in that area, for that line of work.
Niji might have some pull within _Japan's_ VA community, simply due to their size and involvement in Vtubing, but there is little chance they can sway any American VA's from going.

You know, I think Vox could be heading toward a major breakdown. He's been carrying most of NijiEn for a while and the drop in viewers and donos are going to hit him harder than anyone. Considering how fragile his ego is, I could see him lashing out fans for not donating enough and/or caving under the pressure Nijisanji has placed him under. Vox knows as well as anyone what happens when you are the cash cow, but you stop delivering. His favored position could colapse at any moment- and he knows it.

My reaction to Nijisanji now can be summed up as "quiet schadenfreude and sadness". I do feel bad for certain livers and some fans being screwed over so badly by the abysmal management and the company playing favorites. But at the same time, knowing that the higher-ups and CEO are likely panicking over the numbers going down, and seeing some of the aggressive, defensive fans coping hard, I can't help smiling a little. I hope things get better for the innocent talents.
