Out of the 200-so livers that have been/are part of Nijisanji... You're telling me not a single one EVER asked for their play buttons? Ex-Nijis are always static when they receive their own, current Niji livers in the JP side have said that the office keeps them.

Yeah, as much as I don't like seeing people defend the company from it's garbage rules and actions, I have a hard time placing the blame this time. Either they don't want the play button, or they do but get denied, so it's easy for people to just cope and say they never wanted it. Getting denied can feel pretty hurtful when they deny you what you earned and keep it for themselves.
That said, he shouldn't talk on other people's behalf, that's just silly with how easily it's disproven.
It goes from each person if they want the playbutton or not, but I feel like, nijisanji really managed to downplay it so much by placing it on their office next to one another, that IMO, these new livers who come in not having much experience and not having the public they have now don't realize how their own merits are being taken away from them.

During Claude's whole thing I couldn't shake the constant feeling that this was someone trying way too hard to cope. Trying to paint every possible positive that could be squeezed out of it, being as convoluted as necessary to get there. That was absolutely someone trying to dance around a topic to avoid arriving at the obvious answer. And I do not believe that out of 30+ people no one asked for their button, especially since some of them have expressed a desire to have theirs. This is going pretty far out of one's way to make up a defense about this. A defense focused not on providing a good reason but on silver-lining ideas for coping with the problem.

I mean, if they're twins with as much synergy as they appear to have in the clips I've seen, they might be perfectly fine with sharing their personal play button - after all, they earned it together, it belongs to both of them.

The whole Petra fiasco can be summed up to this:
1. Petra is JP adjacent: I've noticed for a while before I ditched Niji that she was starting to cater to JP audiences more.
2. It was aired late in a more JP friendly slot, although this is understandable due to her being more JP adjacent & lack of EN fans for obvious reasons.
Also, because of #1 don't expect Petra to leave anytime soon, she could even survive in NijiJP if EN is gone.

My own circle agrees that JP side will survive. EN is like a scab wound that keeps bleeding itself out. It's not fatal to the main body that is JP, but the EN branch just keeps getting into trouble and is a detriment, and must eventually be scrubbed out to give the main body any chance of relief.
If Petra truly desires to stay put, then being absorbed into JP is the best she could hope for, even in the event of a branch wipe or merger.

1:20 a while back, the leaker said the others believed they could control their chats with heavy moderation and a 2 month subscription to chat enabled. Guess the leaks are slowly proven true. Also, other talents have expressed wanting their buttons because TH-cam does send out more than one if you ask, but no one in Niji got theirs to keep.
In this vid alone they list a couple of talents talking about not getting their buttons. Morinaka Kazaki asked for hers and they told her they lost it. When she asked if they could get another one, they said no.

There's this thing called 'damage control'. If it really was easy to "just ask" for a youtube plaque then why wasn't it done by earlier debuted members. The now graduated members being ecstatic for receiving their own plaques in their new lives speaks a lot. With so much negativity surrounding kurosanji, it's not a far fetch idea that they're trying to keep things afloat by doing whatever means necessary.

When a person spends 200k of their own money in a year because that's the only way they can fund their projects; when the contract that was literally offered to someone explicitly stated that the company is under no obligation to do basically anything for the talent; when there are screenshots confirming that a project's release was delayed because the talent didn't do their manager's job of getting the damn perms (even though the talent did)... I don't believe for a second in these "hours of work" the company is putting in. Because supposedly there's no favoritism in the company, so the livers' experiences must be universal, right?
