A lot of Mint fans, myself included, think her hesitance to return is mostly born from underserved self-doubt, and are trying to make her current incarnation as fun and supportive as possible in the hope of luring her back permanently

Pretty fucked up that Matara and Mint suffer from such crippling self doubt when they are such wonderful people. I can't even fathom what kind of messed up, psychological shit the folks at Niji put them through.
@@Chas-OTE They ARE content creators, I'm sure it feels ephemeral at times. We've seen plenty of big TH-camrs just fall-off as interests change. Streaming, let alone VTubing is still relatively new, and they've certainly seen a drop-off post-COVID as people return to office/in-person activities. But... 100% sketch how it seems more clear from post-Nijisanji VTubers.
Doki is literally taking everything that she lost back. She doesn't stop winning does she? Sayu also recently said that she's all up for collabing with Doki, but it's the latter's decision to make, something we should all respect.
I think Doki is taking time to get fully situated back to being Doki. Yea, she's collabed with people, but it was people she collabed with BEFORE Kurosanji. I think? Either way I think she's kind of feeling out of breath with so much so soon. I guarantee you she'll collab with the likes of Mint, Motara, and Sayu in the near future tho

Pomu was such a well-respected figure in Niji EN. She never outright spoke against the company, just said it was not the place for her. She seemed to get along with everyone, left peacefully, and obviously had a huge part in founding the branch… and now she gets treated like this? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, there’s always hate, but I thought Pomu of all people would be respected more after her peaceful graduation.

Poor Mint, though. Imposter syndrome's a real bitch. Hoping the support is helping fight that. Getting her TH-cam button will probably also be a large morale boost! Just need to get Sayu up there now so she can get hers as well.
And Doki keeps getting away with it, from her management (Niji to Mr Man), sponsors (lost Hyte, gained Apex and EA), monetization (lost channel, gained monetization), freedom (obviously), down to the subscription, play buttons and even gaming accounts and creator code rebates!
Matara's there with Mint regardless of her choice of going to VShojo or not (VShojo CEO came knocking at her channel door LMAO), we just need to hope the former Wisps can still find their way back to her. And yes, don't forget to spread the love to Sayu as well (I already subscribed to her).
I am so glad to see that Mint is happy to see Doki references in games and makes vague Selen references in her streams. Im a Dragoondachi and nothing would make me happier than to see Mint and Doki collab again.

Yup Doki did the one right move and as much as I like Sayu, that document may have given insight but whether or not it was the right move is debatable.
Doki just leaves things to her lawyers, responds when she truly has to and just does her own thing.

From Sayu's position it has been a mistake bc she got a lot of hate and probably till today rocks in her path.
From the public's position however I think it has been right or atleast not wrong. Being a whistleblower has very strong altruistic elements.
A lot of things could have happened differently if her "warnings" would have been received in other ways.
And until recently she got practically no real closure to all of that and will probably never really have.
Lastly I think Sayu and Doki have been and are right now in very different positions - for example how they were received as Niji liver (one being established "veteran" the other very new f.e.), how the termination went and especially how the public reacted and how they are treated as of now. I think comparing their cases is not really adequate.
Also the fact that epic games breached the niji server and performed an extraction mission to get the tomato data and return to exfil is GOATED.
No need to worry offending a company that even Hyte has denied.
PS: And Doki just keeps winning, she received a 2.5k rebate from her creator code just from the first month since she changed it.

When I make a foray into the vtuber realm, I'll welcome such haters monetizing themselves for me.
It's easy saying this, but negative comments can be pretty damaging, and a 5 dollar donation might not be worth it for some as it puts the hate directly in front of their faces. Especially in Mint's situation where she's getting bombarded with it by a certain group, can't even avoid it in a place you'd expect nothing but support from.
i dont know if mint herself is asian, but ive heard that in japan, tipping someone for a good job is seen badly? like tipping a waitress is seen as being rude. maybe that has something to do with it
@@niniseconda5839 it's seen as rude cause it implies their boss isnt paying them enough. So it's not rude to the waitress, it's rude to their boss. More likely they are trying to donated for their hate message to be for sure seen and then probably will attempt to charge it back (which will then fail if maid has it set up properly through a third party donation service and not just direct paypal donations)

In Sayu's case it's purely because she had barely started streaming that the smearing campaign worked, thus lack of support at the time. Unfortunately it's far easier to direct hate to someone relatively unknown.

Man, its crazy how rattled graduating seems to have left Mint compared to when she streamed as Pomu. I wonder if she really didn’t/doesn’t enjoy streaming but didn’t/doesn’t have any ideas for other ways to support herself.
I hope she is able to do what makes her happy, and that if that turns out to be streaming, that she is able to get back to her lively (pun not intended) self.

I had the opposite impression. She seemed hesitant at first, but as time goes by it seems like she is getting back into the swing of things. It looks like she really enjoys streaming, it just came with a lot of baggage before.
Like kitolz said, it's the opposite if you watch her streams. The comeback started out tentative, but she eased into it and is now more lively than ever.
Not that it's difficult to be more excited and happy than late-career Pomu with all the circumstances and environment...

I'd wager the reason the nijisisters are going after Mint is because she dared imply that niji is a less than perfect company in her redebut stream. "They gave me wings? I think they were made of cardboad or something." (Or something to that effect) and perhaps also the famous membership stream where she cried over being denied a once in a liftime opportunity getting privated after she specifically made all membership streams public because it made niji look bad.

Yeah, while Doki was the biggest driving force, Mint got the ball rolling, I can't imagine fans of the members that are part of the clique and/or shown favoritism by Niji are happy about that. It really changed a lot of our perspectives when finding out one of the most popular members in the entire branch got screwed over like this.

My take is that it changed because we've gotten enough examples where the corporation is able to continually abuse their talents because the ones who did leave were not able to effectively spread their story. Since the vtuber community as a whole has become more accepting of referring to past identities, it has allowed recent corpo talents to brave the waters of defying or fully leaving their own corporations.
Basically, talking openly about the past lives of talents who have left vtuber corporations generally benefits those talents more than it harms them.

I still think it's weird that Mint refers to Nijisanji as "Heaven" in her lore. Kinda wish she'd just call it hell or something else. In all honesty, I think Matara calling it "Hollywood" is probably the best example I've seen of someone being able to talk about Nijisanji without naming them by name.

I think she is just keeping up with her lore since she likely said she is going to Heaven during graduation stream 3 years ago, when she thought VERY highly about Niji.
I get why Mint may have ambivalent feelings towards coming back for good. I'm sure it's a great experience at its best, but there's also no getting around the fact that there are some real unpleasant people out there. It must be hard to get a constant barrage of hate from a small but vocal group of people who hate you for playing games on the internet.

Doki's karaoke was actually such a riot, I was so amazed with what she/they all prepared (shad, a true chad) and I was laughing so much my face hurt
I hope Mint can find a way to feel comfortable streaming. She clearly still enjoys it, but she has some self-doubts and fears--likely due to her stint in Hel--er "Heaven."
But she's talented, creative, witty, and willing to try out things she's not entirely sure about. Pretty funny how much she loves Metal Gear and yet she wasn't sure if it was her kind of game. Hopefully her fans, self included, can manage to lift her spirits (no pun intended) to let her feel more secure about her passion of streaming. We'll see.
It can be tough to break out of mindsets like the imposter syndrome Mint seems to have unfortunately had drilled into her. But her passion for entertainment, creating, supporting her oshis, and bringing smiles to people's faces also seems quite resilient to have made it this far. Regardless of whether or not she sticks around, I hope Mint continues to have a solid support system behind the scenes to give her all the love she deserves and help her figure out what's best for her going forward.
