My only problem with all these content creators builds are, they recommend Trial sets, when we are looking to get into Trials, we don't have any Trial sets to begin with . It was painfully hard just to get 5 pieces of armor for False God standing in Craglorn asking to do normal Trials. It took weeks and so many times people would loot snipe and start bugging you for items before you even knew you had them. Same with Siroria, I had to waste 50 transmutes on each piece (250 total) because all I could get is the body pieces. I really don't think the top 1% or 2% of ESO players get how difficult it is as a normal player to get into Trials, unless you know someone that knows someone that knows how to do everything.. It's like someone needs to take you under their wing to get going. I've joined 5 guilds, either I can't get the DPS numbers or no body is around to run Trials. SO I looked \ looking at Tanks maybe.. NOPE , it's all Trial sets.. How do you get into Trials without Trial sets? If the game can not provide a path for this then there is an issue.. As a normal player vDLC and vTrials is pretty much off limits. I want to get into Trials but don't want it to become my 2nd job.
I see what you mean, been there myself... ;) But normal trials are really easy - especially as a DD - and you don't "need" perfected gear unless you do high end content. I play mostly solo, I'm not a top tier player, but I forced myself to go on PU in Craglorn and easily got all the gear I needed. Remember also that you're with 7 more DDs, so if you know your class and maybe watch a guide before, you should be fine. And with the sticker book, you're now assured to get everything eventually.
I've given up on trying to do Trials years ago. Been playing since Day and I only came close once but by the time the guild group was finally ready to start I had to go...
Hmm i have only been playing for a month now and never got into trials... my guild however always welcomes people to join trails as they do it alot. If you're on PC EU.. look up camelot social. Also thank you for letting me this video will be useless to watch unless i do trials😂
My thoughts exactly. "Here's a gear guide for beginner tanks...get end game trial sets". I'll likely never get into trials anyway because I refuse to use a frost staff on my DK and I'm too casual these days. Unfortunately with any long running mmo the meta is set in stone for end game. I'll stick to more casual content where I can use a variety of builds.
Shield wall and Swarm Mother is a hilarious combo for starting out. From base game on a dk without having spent a buck on any subs or dlc because they are on the fence about ESO I might recommend Leeching plate for stagger and stam return, Plague Doctor for health scaling/draining skills, and engine guardian just because. Years ago I would stack igenous shields with bone shield and the set Brands of the Imperium to protect allies. At the point in the game it was like health bars were never touched. I felt like I never ran out of resources and I protected everyone.
Despiste what everyone says, im tanking with a high elf templar and im having a blast doing so. Currently using Pearlescent Turning tide Engine guardian / or spaulder of ruins. Im able to tank all vet content easily with shields/skills that templar class provides. At first people were skeptical about it, and now im running trials like crazy. And doing hm content with another dps only. Being tank is about knowing the mechanics and teAch
Nice, I’m in the process of tanking with my High Elf Sorcerer. I’m running with leeching, gloom-graced and stonekeeper/engine guardian until I can get some more sets. Ive wanted to get High Elf Templar a run with tanking.
Do you have a video for someone who is genuinely a beginner? I've never really tanked, and my first couple of attempts ended up with people being mad at me because I did so poorly. How do I start? How do I learn to Tank? I'd love a level 1-50 guide, and guides about how to tank dungeons as I'm learning. I play mostly solo, but want to get into more group (PVE) play.
Thought you said selfish lol, sax and pearl are not selfish xD I wear allessian with eternal vigor and engine guardian for my selfish tank, done a large chunk of achievements with it. Allessian gives most of the resistance, allowing for more sturdy and well fitted peices on the build, as well as a good chunk of health recovery. Eternal vigor adds some massive stat recovery as well. Barely even need a healer in some situations because my health recovery hits close to 5k when I'm below 50% hp so it pretty much instantly shoots back up. Stam recovery is around 2300, mag recovery 1400. Almost never need to attack to get resources back, i can just sit on one bar for a few seconds while the other bar refills itself.
tank club im kind of new to ESO and the observation i made is that you state its a beginner guide. But most beginners don't know what the unevolved version of the skill turns into. So we have no idea what skills you are talking about. On your next beginner guide could you possibly include that please?
Start with ebon. Not too hard to get especially normal. Then try to get used to tanking more normal dungeons and try see if you can handle normal dlc. There you can get drake's rush, crimson oath,... Then try veteran dungeons with those added sets. Powerful assault is pvp and not everyone likes it. But if you do veteran dungeons, start building up your monster sets. Vet dungeons, then vet dlc. Engine guardian, nazzaray, etc... If you can't do them as tank, do them as DPS to get the gear is possible but as tank you'll practice as you get. And eventually if you're ready, try do trials. Yolnakriin is still top notch to have
People like selfish tanks until the DPS is bad and the group complains you're not buffing and debuffing. And eventually you as tank will complain so please as a tank, once you progress, even when you do pugs, find ways to buff your group. Even when it's automatic health or a bit of extra regen for them from your set and you don't do anything else. It's really important as tank to work with your group and try to stack adds for the DPS
Can you put a leveling build on your page for various tanks ? Im super new to eso, and even newer to tanking in MMOs, and i have no idea where to find a guide to use while leveling.. (talents, rotation, general tips ect )
I have these sets but I use turning tide with sturdy on everything except the Cuirass, I put reinforced on that. Void bash on front bar and yolnahkrin on jewelery and back bar. Monster set depends on the dungeon or trial. I'm still having a hard time getting the Archdruid Devyric. Everything is easy until the last boss, he just demolishes my block mitigation.
i am relatively new to the game ( 100 hours of play ) but it is confusing, my role is tank but what makes me confused is the points we spend on HEALTH, MAGICKA, STAMINA, I have been trying to understand how to spend the points in these three things but people have everything different from each other, I am at level 29 and for now in my character Sorcerer Nord ( tank ) I have: HEALTH: 17 MAGICKA: 10 STAMINA: 27 is correct so ? I have seen players putting most of the points in stamina, I have also seen other players putting most of the points in health, for new players is confusing to understand what is better
What you should do, being new (and this goes for 95% of all builds, is pick a resource and put all Points into that. I'd go 64 in health and as you go if you need me Stam or mag you can maybe put 20 in one but your spread too thin right now
Normal trials are easy for those who are whining about them being trial sets, make a DD(doesn't need to be anything special) run the trials get the gear. Use transmutes if needed and you'll be good
Would be more useful to tell us what skills and set up at level 10/20/30/40/50 so that we can match or get an idea. I started watching but once you starts with this gear and that you lost me. I just made it to 50 with a DD character. I still use only gear I can scavenge and I have no idea about Craglorn or about gear. That’s the problem with all those videos. Look it’s for beginner. Me beginner: whaaaaat???
Best selfish set up in my opinion Leeching body Drakes Rush back bar Masters S/B with flame enchant front bar Pirate Skeleton Monster set Dk Nord, all Prismatic Glyphs, all sturdy traits, 64 health. With proper CP distribution and skills you will never die and never run outta resources. Period. Easiest tank build in the game for dungeons.

I don't bother with Trials as the ESO community is pretty bad. Not worth dealing with.

It’s for progressing into Vet, if you don’t have the gear in normal then you should play in normal until you do and are comfortable with the content

Great build and that fashion is even better!! What style is that?
Thanks! The style is Nord Hero Armor costume & Stonekeeper weapons 🙂

Hello
I have a lot of information on my website: thetankclub.com/eso-beginner-tank-guide/#levelling
What style is the sword and board in? That shit is dope af!
It's Stonekeeper Style
I have these sets but I use turning tide with sturdy on everything except the Cuirass, I put reinforced on that. Void bash on front bar and yolnahkrin on jewelery and back bar. Monster set depends on the dungeon or trial. I'm still having a hard time getting the Archdruid Devyric. Everything is easy until the last boss, he just demolishes my block mitigation.
You could try using Arkasis for ultimate generation and pop the sword & board ultimate to take the pressure off
I use it with yolna. Since i finally got it and nazzaray.

can i use Rush of agony instead of Void bash?
You can use what works for you, I always use master snb and it’s amazing for all content
hi all if i take tank can do all content solo?I like solo play but occasionally I also play as a tank in dungeons.thnx
How does ignaeus shield give stamina?
Nevermind he answers this later in the video, a passive gives 990 stam for casting any ability in that tree
Have you done for healer build???
