I’m always impressed by your ability to find enough action points to banish Kadex. I usually have to focus on thinning out guys getting too close to Vakir and just endure whatever hopefully minor tantrums Kadex dishes out. But I do have my guys collapse back near Vakir to body block her and pay for her safety with their flesh. I’ve always had them take the bait and hit knights though, I’ve never seen them just walk by knights to dunk on Vakir in the endzone like that, to mix metaphors.
On the upside, I did take Codex Gameghis approved rule and did the Craftworld by day 250. It was a hot mess: our engines weren’t fast enough yet, so when the sector got bigger we were scrambling to chase down Bloom. Even doing the best we could, they got four Gates up by doing several two at a time at opposite ends of the Galaxy. And the Cult on our ship got us down to one hull point, with four damaged sections. We scraped by for 30 days like that until I managed to get hulks repaired. And I had to send 8 knights to snuff out the cult. One unlucky hull hit or Gate we couldn’t reach would have ended it all. I was paying the 3 servitor tax to keep damaged sections from doing a hull point damage more than once. It must have been the Emperor’s protection, as a stiff breeze could have ended the campaign at that point. It was a complete mess and kind of thrilling too.
Then Vakir managed to finish her ritual and pull us out of that mess, and mercifully everyone gets a free heal from the time spent in the Warp now. And the last Reaper was reasonable.
Oof.

The legendary difficulty is so boring after update, only build you can do is Rambo… this sucks man.
Yeah man. I will restart and try the rambo. I just hate how so many builds went out the window after the update. Like I don't mind increasing difficulty, but when it comes at the cost of diversity of playstyles, I don't consider it a good update.
@@gameghiskhan yeah, bro totally agrees with you man, game sucks at this stage, chaos gate was so much more fun before the update, I think one turn purifier build is viable too? If you don’t get bad rng on the teleportation? Also, I am rewatching your battle sector melee guide, and wanted to try it, but they fixed the no requisition cost for assault marine so that you can only get one assault marine per-mission. Which made melee build so much harder… I don’t know why the dev hates glorious melee so much lol. At least on chaos gate melee rules supreme!
@@mirage2154 Holy shit!? Why would they do that!? I swear, some game devs don't know the difference between challenging and punishing. Challenging content is fun. Punishing content is not. Punishing content takes away option while challenging content has multiple ways of tackling it. That nerf just sounds like a punishment. Man that completely kills my Blood For The Blood God build that I did for one of the missions.
@@gameghiskhan yeah bro, that sucks the fun out of the game. I wonder if the dev watched your video... Cuz some placement of enemy units were also different. I am only in mission 7 now and in mission 4 if I rush dreadnought right out the gate there is a Venomthropes that will come to my dread, on mission 6 they moved the plasma cannon on top so that you can reach it with your dreadnought, I think it's kinda good, cuz it gets rid of some cheesy thing that makes you think hard on the placement of your unit, but not being able to recruit basic marine just sucks a lot of fun out of game cuz it limits your choice to have fun your way.
that is not the only build you can do, it is far from boring
