Same. I have the basic 5600 and a Solar/MB6 6900 instead of a 5610 to complement the trio with 5000U. Rubber band, JDM, and caseback are the main reasons to pay ~$250 for one over half of It on 5610U. Also I bet QC is FAR superior on 5000U - my watch lost 1.5 seconds in almost 2 months after MB6 adjust.
Thanks for showing how the light works on each model. That was my favourite feature as a kid. For the 5000U I actually dislike how the light isn't uniform and is mostly on the left side.
I have my 5600e for around 7 years now, this was my first g-shock, as a careless school-going student, this has been the go-to-watch for me. love it, a very classic watch, just for the mere-purpose of time-keeping. Loved your video as well, really put me back to appreciate my wearable! ❤
Over the years my G-Shock square collection has grown, arguably more than it should have but they are all different. For me my joint favourite squares are firstly my 5610, the solar non Bluetooth model that I've worn many times in inclement conditions but really bonded with during hospital surgeries as it's not recommended to take high value items into hospital, it's a super accurate at a glance readable watch with the multi band 6 and is very, very tough but looks like a $10 watch. Secondly I love my GMW-B5000 long discontinued black titanium model with the positive display. As you say this one flies under the radar as it looks just like any resin case square apart from the gold pushers and screws. I wore this a lot during my after care following surgeries. I love it because it does not shout expensive. The STN display looks great under the sapphire crystal but arguably is not quite as clear as its mineral crystal covered siblings but it is very close. I'm also a fan of the full metal variations with the STN display, yes they are heavy and can get scratched but elevate the wearing for a more versatile look that can be dressed up (if a G-Shock can be dressy) more versatile to wear from the single tool watch vibe. There always seems to be space for another G-Shock. Many thanks for sharing.
I personally find the GW-M5610 to be the sweet spot in the G-Shock Square range. It’s a great balance of price and features. My heart likes the DW-5000 with its steel core, but I can live with the plastic core, and I fitted the DW-5000 softer resin strap to my 5610. Perfect for me. Maybe I’ll upgrade to the GMW-B5000, but that will be later.
I was exactly where you are now! And eventually ended up getting the gw5000…. It is a big step! The only gw5k downside are the small sometimes difficult to press buttons… but you will only realize that once you upgrade to the gmwb5000 :)

its good but the lifespan is limited, since the resin can break and soften after 15+ years, the stainless steel or titanium models are better since the band and bezel will never break or soften
My favorite Casio G-Shock is the Rangeman, specifically the murdered-out GW9400-1B for work and the green GW9400-3 for outdoor pursuits. I call the GW9400-3 the “Ammo Can” due to its chunkiness and it’s green color way with yellow accents; all of which reminds me of a U.S. military ammo can. Both of my Rangemans (or are they Rangemen) have been equipped with strap adaptors that allow the use of NATO and Zulu straps. Being solar-powered, the Rangeman is quipped with radio-controlled timekeeping, altimeter, barometer, and compass (not to mention the stopwatch, timer, and world time functions). It’s my choice for an outdoor, do-it-all, digital wristwatch.
I'm one of the fanatical g-shock collectors. I have squares from the first 4 tiers you mentioned...including the TVA and TCM titanium models. I can't bring myself to spend the money for the MR-G, even though it's beautiful. The all-titanium models I have are enough for me as far as top-tier g-shock squares go. I agree with you, the GMW-B5000D probably has the best bang for the buck in terms of quality and features. One that's close behind though is the GW-5000U (which, btw, is only 74 grams on the stock strap). But even the DW-5600E provides tremendous value. I got one some years back for only about $30 on sale. Yours is a really great review, concise, yet full of useful information and video. Thank you!
Agreed. The 5610 is the best value for money. Plus it is a true representation of the gstock ethos: precise (atomic time keeping), reliable (wont break), and self-sufficient (solar).
💯 I, too, wondered about the notable omission of the 5610. I was gonna "graduate" to one on Black Friday, but decided to go with the venerable GW500U1JF. Although I do really like, the red line frame of the 5610, the steel core + caseback and the stealthy yet high-contrast face (👀 at you, negative displays models) really spoke to me. I'm a big fan of the square so I will not rule out a 5610 to round out the collection at some point 🤷🏼
I have a B5000TVA that I bought at retail for 1300€ and I love it. In my mind I can justify the price tag since it's a pretty well made and rare watch nowadays and it goes for more than 2000€ in the secondary market if you can find one for sale. But I must say paying over 1000€ for a g-shock is crazy. Paying over 4000€ is pure madness.
Thanks for the beautiful video! My favorite is the GW5000. It wears the best and the resin strap is much more comfortable. On rougher days (motorcycle holidays or in swimming pool) i wear the 5610 or 5600. Also have the gold FM and composite but you cannot adjust the band on the go with those. Big problem when its either very hot/cold or when exercising.
The DW5600e, G5600UE and GWM5610U are all perfectly fine Square G-Shocks. The included straps for me are perfectly fine since I don't feel them on my wrist. But more importantly these affordable G-Shocks are watches that can be used and enjoyed for their original purpose. The expensive G-Shocks don't hold up to the watches original purpose. Sure they won't break easily but my God $2K and 4K for a tool watch? Definitely not a tool watch at that price. That's a watch you buy if you can afford it. It's watch you buy for the look and status not for its functionality or durability. You'd be an idiot to use a 2k or 4k watch like a tool watch.
It'd be like buying a blinged out pickup truck- it might be nice but you'd never really want to throw a bunch of bricks in the bed and drive it through the mud. It's so far from the original conception it doesn't have the utility that led to the design and creation of the thing in the first place.
I like the GW-M5610U. It has the styling of the 1983 original with all the updated features like solar and atomic. It's expecially nice on the same combi bracelet as shown on the GW-5000U in the video.
Im very proud to say that my first watch was a Dw5000 G shock back in the 80's. i must have over 20 different versions of DW and Gw 5600. And my last purchase was the titanium version. But i don't seem to wear them anymore because I'm always wearing something mechanical. But i love them.
I've just bought the dw5600e and it is absolutely gorgeous. It's a g shock, so it's fashionable. It has historical significance since it I a remake of the original 1983 model and it's tough as nails. The only g shock other than the mudman that I would actually wear. It isn't huge or attention-desperate but still looks classy
Great overview, and a very quality video, congrats! However I think there is a tear that was left out witch could represent more of a bang for a buck. More specifically the he-5600 series, that offers better value as it has basically the same module as the steel models, but a better price point. And for me at least, that is better. I own the steel model, but currently selling it, for the reasons you have mentioned in the video. But my go to g shock, also my favorite one is the GW-B5600MG-1ER with the v1 combi bracelet, positive display and all the features that the MRG and others offer for a fraction of price, and it truly can stand a beating. Keep up the good work!
Excellent video presentation and explanation of this line. I'm new to the gwm5610U-1. I love this square. I've been trying to learn more about the other squares and your presentation enlightened me and excited me. Brilliant!!
A G-Shock square is a must in any G-Shock collection. My first G-Shock was a DW5610, and its my go-to watch. You just put it on and and forget about it. I love the beaten up GMWB5000 all metal and that MRG looks amazing.
Having a difficult time convincing myself the Apple Watch Ultra is worth the money but would splash the cash for a higher end G-Shock. Perhaps a feeling a nostalgia weighs my decision. A terrific G-Shock with a good functions to value ratio is the GW-9400. I have a preference for five buttons over four though on appearance alone, the four button squares do look cleaner.
I was looking for this comment, that one is objectively the best you can have for the money considering I paid only 100 usd for it. Tough solar, multiband 6 and white band and case to have fun with colors. Just perfect
I have a decent collection of squares from the DW5200 'Hero' up to the GWMB5000 series. Some of the most important features to me are: 5 alarms, longer EL backlight (3-4 seconds, not 1.5 seconds like GW5000/GWM5610), AUTO-REPEAT countdown timer (included in DW5600/DW50XX anniversary), and louder tone "beep" sound on alarm and signal (DW5600/DW50XX, GWB5600). No square G-Shock has all of my preferences, so I need at least two: DW5035D anniversary and GMW-B5000GD-9 'bling-master' complement each other well and have the lasting appeal of being steel case w/screwback.
That was a good explainer, thanks. Your point about decent heritage brand watch vs the best G-Shock is something i hadnt considered before, makes some sense and "stealth wealth" would buy the very top models as well...but when it comes down to it, I'd want to strap on a G-Shock that i can abuse nastily without regrets. So $100 or below for me, the savings account is still aimed at a Cartier Santos or JLC Reverso😁
Excellent Review 👍 Keep it up.That MRBG500B in Titanium is my fav.The price is higher than other models for a reason as I believe it's the best and would be a great choice for a luxury watch collectors set however the metallic G shock may be heavy but that added weight gives it a feeling of presence on ur wrist judging by the built formation of the lugs and bracelet that effortlessly hugs the wrist gently and comfortably.
Just picked up a GMW-B5000MB-1ER which for me is the sweet spot of the metals, the matte black with contrasting brushed silver bezel is the perfect combination - truly stunning and well finished without being astronomically expensive
Gulfman as a workhorse, with titanium back and bracelet screws cheap and brilliant. My newest is the GW-M5610U-1BER and its a very good, always accurate time.I also like the Edifice Casio and have 2 of those tough solar and atomic timekeeping
As many watch enthusiasts I own too many Casio, I've actually been wearing the square Gorillaz featured at the beginning of your clip, all over the weekend in Paris, sleeves up with confidence since it's a really comfy and cool piece for the price, which I would not be afraid to see taken away from me, unlike my other luxury pieces I'd be terrified to wear in the same crowd; But here is the point, if the sweet spot, my sweet spot regarding Casio would be max about 200€ because it's what it's worth in term of design and making, and Casio is making fabulous mass production products in this price range, but then I'm struggling to see the value in 2000-4000$ Casio when comparing to excellent automatic watches with a "soul", like let's say a Longines Spirit (titanium) or an Ultra-Chron, lately a Tudor Ranger that I don't like, but still a COSC with some character, or a gorgeous Tudor BB Chronometer and so on and on... So yes, I know, I'm comparing apples with pears here, but still, $2000 or $4000 for a Casio, no matter how it's strong and how it shines, I just see it as an overpriced nice and funny gadget, I like it because it's decadent, but I won't put my money on it.
Good video ... Here in the UK the MR-G is £3,600 GBP this is a lot of money to pay for a Casio digital watch IMO. I have four Casio G-Shock watches in my watch collection 1) Casio DW5600BB Which has a negative display ..Some people do not like negative display digital watches but I like them. 2) Casio DW5610Y-9ER 3) Casio G2900 4) Casio DW5600E-1V
Outstanding review! I really like your attention to detail. That u also draw us back to the original intent of G Shock reminds us of the durability & toughness that won many of us over. Great work!
GMW5000 in dark red. Inverse Display, Black pushers. Love the color in combination with red or light red clothes and shoes. And I have never seen it on someone else's wrist.
Thanks for sharing, great stuff 🤗 I picked up both TVA's and Both Color Camouflage Watches as well as an Oceanic Natural Titanium Color Watch. I only wear Titanium because it does not give me allergies or affect my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I really Can't justify paying 4k for a Mr G when it looks exactly like a $300-2k watch. Now the TVA and Camouflage watches you can tell its something different. I also never picked up the know Stealth Wealth all black Titanium because it looks to ordinary to a $100 G shock. I do have a few Rubber strap watches as well, like the Carbon Fiber Edition, and that is super light at 44 grams. I am Really Stuck on Titanium The TVB and TVA has really put the dagger on my collecting G-Shocks and keeping me in line with there Titanium like alike models.
I have an analog MR-G and many other Casios. I could never see myself purchasing a digital MR-G such as the one featured here @ $4k The most I've spent in a digital Casio is my frogman followed by my rangeman. (Don't have the models memorized 😆) Somehow this particular design has never called to me but thanks for sharing all the info you presented here 🍻
GW-5000u will be my next purchase. Admittedly I am a G Shock/ Casio Fan. I’ve worn a GW-9400 Rangeman while at work for 8 years. It has performed flawlessly. It has transformed from a matte black to a fine gloss over the years only requiring a replacement of the strap once. I don’t utilize the triple sensor often enough. Confident a square will get the job done.
For me the 5610 is the one, I wear a G shock when I'm doing something that could seriously fuck up a nice watch, I know I won't kill the G shock and if somehow I did, it's cheap! If I want to wear a watch costing a few grand I'll wear a nice mechanical piece.
No, the one single most important feature was not even discussed 🤦♂️ The $300+ models all have screw back case while the cheaper versions all use cheap screws to hold the back case. The screw back case was iconic design that made the g shock so reliable even under heavy water stress. The OG ones all had them and were inexpensive before Casio went greedy and made all the screw back case models higher end and more expensive. Luckily my dad bought me the now iconic Keanu model while I was in middle school so I kept it in good shape and still use/wear it today. Those things were truly built like a tank 💪
I can't see a digital watch ever being worth $4000. You can't convince me that the technology is that expensive if you can get an Apple watch which is technologically decades ahead for $600. And there is no way a sapphire crystal and titanium band is worth over $3000. That's just ridiculous. You're paying for the prestige, and a G-Shock doesn't have $4000 prestige. That's Omega and Tudor Swiss made automatic mechanical watch territory. IMHO the MR-G's intrinsic value is $1,000 to $1,200 max.
My favorite is the square line undoubtedly. The regular GMW steel are spectacular and I loved them, then got the TVA the king of the 5000 line which I love the most currently and a notch above the regular metal line up, even though I generally dislike titanium amongst the metals. I love a heavy watch. Yet I can clearly see the difference in quality on the TVA. It’s built superior in every aspect possible. For people who are used to handling watches, they can immediately see the finish and execution of all details as being a carefully done to bring out luxury that matches or exceeds the heavy price tag. I have an MRG Square waiting to arrive so that will be an experience I can speak about after actually handling the watch and comparing it to TVA. Yet I am quite sure from this exceptional review covering very detail and doing the tough job of carefully, logically and realistically comparing different squares in a very pragmatic manner, that I am in for a pleasant surprise and upgrade in finish and quality from even my TVA. It shows clearly on the video. I have chosen the Silver one as that the color way I am missing in my squares so far, as well as I think it will be a good pair along with the TVA already being all matte black. So as of now on the wrist the TVA is my favorite in Titanium and the Silver Steel Recrystallized is my favorite in steel. Thank you again for a top review. This is hands down the best Gshock square range review I have seen in a very long time. Keep up the good work. I love all your reviews.
Noticed that you presented the DW5000U with a composite bracelet, even though this model has a screw down caseback which makes the watch taller. I would really like to know if you had to tweak the bracelet to fit on the watch or it was a perfect fit straight away. Cheers from Cluj
Perfect fit straight away! Although if you want a faster process you can first take off the bezel and put it back after fixing the spring bars. Numai bine! ;)
Hi. I’m having trouble finding the second model you showcased here. You’ve listed it as the DW5000. I can’t find that reference anywhere. Closest thing I could find was the GW5000U. Is this the correct reference please?
👍 + sub. Great video, very informative & smooth, laid-back delivery. I'm proud to say (maybe a bit overly so) that I just ordered my GW500U1JF and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. And that is no slight to my beloved DW5600E. For ppl who don't care, it seems like a lot of extra cost for essentially the same square digital watch. But... If ya know, ya know. Game recognize game. Stay cool man, I'll be checking the channel regularly. Thanks for the great content 👍
Great video. I can't justify the $500-4000 option for me. The square Gs look good. I don't have one yet. I have the G-Shock Rangrman GW-9400-1 which I love and is mostly my daily watch, I think it is the most affordable with the most features in the Master of G lineup. I'm considering getting a more premium Square G, the GW-5000u-1 as a smaller more versatile G-Shock to wear in nearly any occasion.
As a fan of the original DW-5000C redline crystal, I'm waiting on what Casio will give us for the 40th Anniversary. I really want a Titanium GW-B5000 or even a "regular" GW-5000U with the original Redline crystal as found on the current GW-M5610. The brickwall crystal of the GW-B5kG-1ER was the ONLY reason I bought one over the GW-5k, would rather have a stainless cased Square with a resin bezel just like the original. The one "teir" that I think you may have overlooked are the hard to find DW-5000's which use the DW-5600 module but in the original Stainless Steel screwback case.
i have a gm-5600 it costs 170 dollars and i am proud to wear that watch. but I'm curious about this full metal watch, are the GMW-B5000D and MRG-B5000B made on a limited edition ? because I worked hard to save money again. I want to try one of them I'm afraid that when I long ago collected the money, those two watches weren't made anymore.
Is the Gen2 combi bracelet. The one on the gw5000 is the Gen1. Both discontinued. But still pop up every now and then on forums and various grey market sellers
In my opinion, the GW5000 with a combi bracelet is the ultimate value - Premium screwback square on a more aesthetically durable bracelet. I have a GMWB5000 and they wear and tear SO quickly and in a way that looks tacky when they're beat up. So, I think the GW5000 is the ultimate.
I agree! The GW5K was THE gshock to have for more than a decade (before the metal version was launched) but even today still is … the only gripe I have (after switching between these) are the smaller buttons and the lack of BT (as radiocontrol does not work in my area). But even with these… GW5K rulz!!!
just ordered my 5000D. I've got a thing for heavy watches after having a Nixon 51-30 chrono. Had a Casio F91W-1 back in the 90's as my first ever watch. I still use one now for work every day so the 5000D is for fancier occasions where the F91 is too battered.
I'm still wearing my GLX5600 from 2012. It's been my sports activity watch for 10 years. I finally replaced the battery for the first time last month. I just ordered the GWM5610-1 when it went on sale for $80. Can't wait till that one comes.
i love the g shock series, i have about 20 models in my collection, but personally i prefer the range between 50/200 dollars!! for me the g shock is the classic digital watch with a rubber bezel around, easily to swap. i don t like the new philosophy of g shock with expensive materials and expensive collaboration, i think is more for the new generation of fashion customers. Anyway i appreciate the fact casio still produces the old good and ''cheap'' models so i m not against if the company can earn money :)
I have 3 metal squares and it’s very easy to take out most of the scratches from your stainless square. I have the same one and use 3m multi micron paper to lightly sand back to factory finish.
I have the GW5000D, my first G-Shock. probably the watch i wear the most. the 155 grams doesn't bother me but did have to get use to it. i got the all black one.
Thank You for the line up and run down. If just wish Casio would bring the MIP displays to their full square line up. I do not need want a smart watch or fitness tracker, but the improved MIP display would get me to replace my 3 G-Shock squares.
For me, cheapest g shock is best g shock
Inexpensive, not cheap is the correct word.

GW-5000U, is my favorite because of the case back and the updated module
It has a premium super-soft band, too!

That’s because Casio discovered that LED Ligth is more durable than the back light display… I read that fact somewhere on the web

You are right, in my view as well, the higher tier squares cannot offer the durability of the initially purposed models. it's a pity to ruin them .
It'd be like buying a blinged out pickup truck- it might be nice but you'd never really want to throw a bunch of bricks in the bed and drive it through the mud. It's so far from the original conception it doesn't have the utility that led to the design and creation of the thing in the first place.
@@SuperMrgentleman Very well said.
I like the GW-M5610U. It has the styling of the 1983 original with all the updated features like solar and atomic. It's expecially nice on the same combi bracelet as shown on the GW-5000U in the video.
Totally agree , is still the best choice in relation with the price and even the weight . Of course excellent quality and features .
I have the same watch and i still love it to this day. I used it everyday for work and for running
Awesome video, thanks very much. Its good to see all these different models together in one video
Cheers! :)
the viewing angles on that MRG are exceptional! Nothing to see but pure text against a clear display
Brilliant!!
Other watchmakers : 'And of course our 200$ watch has a sapphire crystal'.
Casio : 'And for 1500 dollars more, you can have sapphire!'
*DISGRACEFUL EVIL UNACCEPTABLE FUHKN BULLSHT INDEED !!!! AND THE 🤡 SHT MUST COME TO AN END WITH G SHOCK!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
A G-Shock square is a must in any G-Shock collection. My first G-Shock was a DW5610, and its my go-to watch. You just put it on and and forget about it. I love the beaten up GMWB5000 all metal and that MRG looks amazing.
5610 is just right...hard to see it not on this list for where it falls with features
Defo the best choice!
Great video, but best value for money is gw-b5600.
You skipped the best value G-Shock. Hardly fair without 5610.
I was looking for this comment, that one is objectively the best you can have for the money considering I paid only 100 usd for it. Tough solar, multiband 6 and white band and case to have fun with colors. Just perfect
@@Gabriel-if3vb Agreed. I also have a transparent one, it's fun on occasion but not for everyday.
The 5610 gives you a 3 second back light option. 💁🏻♂️
My dw5600 e purchased 5year before still running solid, its bezel broke but no issues, battery life also still running good.
I still wear the original MR-G 110T. Got it in 96 and wore in Iraq and Afghanistan. Love this watch
An amazing watch. Did you serve?
@@Unlucky1776Yes. Did my 20 and got out. I was a 12B Combat Engineer.
@@bobsmith1405 wow thank you for your service. Hope you're having a good day and having a happy holidays man
Thank you for destroying my country!
For me the best value for money G is the gw b5600, solar powered , Bluetooth, multi band 6 all at a reasonable price
Have the same - engine is the same that drives the stainless steel model - happy with the cheaper versions
5:50.. I Guess it depends on the user. I love a heavy watch on my wrist. I can't stand a light watch that feels like a bracelet.
Mark. Well reasoned and well said?
Excellent Review 👍 Keep it up.That MRBG500B in Titanium is my fav.The price is higher than other models for a reason as I believe it's the best and would be a great choice for a luxury watch collectors set however the metallic G shock may be heavy but that added weight gives it a feeling of presence on ur wrist judging by the built formation of the lugs and bracelet that effortlessly hugs the wrist gently and comfortably.
Great video - I have a GW-M5610 on composite and love it. Am definitely considering upgrading to a 5000u though
Beautiful wtach
You can get the bluetootth & solar & multi band module in a 150€ plastic version.
And if you get the GW-B5600BC-1ER you have also the combi bracelet
Just picked up a GMW-B5000MB-1ER which for me is the sweet spot of the metals, the matte black with contrasting brushed silver bezel is the perfect combination - truly stunning and well finished without being astronomically expensive
Great pick! Enjoy it :)
Thats a stunning watch
@@crBudgetWatches thank you it’s perfect
Hi! Your watch scratch easily? Thank you very much!
@@canem1086 not as easily as my bottom.
Lovely line up! 😂 I like them all now even more! ;)
Foarte misto videoul! Felicitari! Tocmai mi-am cumparat si eu un GA-100 ca primul meu G Shock.
Congrats :) si multumesc!
Ai grija! Primul gshock niciodata nu va fi si ultimu … :)
Gulfman as a workhorse, with titanium back and bracelet screws cheap and brilliant. My newest is the GW-M5610U-1BER and its a very good, always accurate time.I also like the Edifice Casio and have 2 of those tough solar and atomic timekeeping
Best without doubt is the Titanium Circuit square limited edition. It looks different in every light and the detail is just phenomenal!
I have four Casio G-Shock watches in my watch collection
1) Casio DW5600BB Which has a negative display ..Some people do not like negative display digital watches but I like them.
2) Casio DW5610Y-9ER
3) Casio G2900
4) Casio DW5600E-1V
The MRG Square is my choice though I can't justify the purchase of one. I think it looks awesome!
GWG 1000-1A3 Mudmaster. I also have couple of 6900-s, of which solar is my all time favorite.
I wear a positive display g shock king Gxw56 with silver bull bar, tough solar, self adjusting, one of the best G shocks ever made.
Outstanding review! I really like your attention to detail. That u also draw us back to the original intent of G Shock reminds us of the durability & toughness that won many of us over. Great work!
My brother Andrei back it again with another 🔥 video 👏
GMW5000 in dark red. Inverse Display, Black pushers. Love the color in combination with red or light red clothes and shoes. And I have never seen it on someone else's wrist.
06:43 is This dw5000c1b still available to buy? That look great in this color if its not available i hope they bring it back.
I think it was a limited run sadly...
@@BraveBeaters oh no I'm searching for a long time for a turquoise/green vintage look Gshock.I hope they can bring it back.
Thanks for sharing, great stuff 🤗
I picked up both TVA's and Both Color Camouflage Watches as well as an Oceanic Natural Titanium Color Watch.
Brilliant video and exactly what I was looking for. Was there a link posted for this bracelet?
I have an analog MR-G and many other Casios. I could never see myself purchasing a digital MR-G such as the one featured here @ $4k
The most I've spent in a digital Casio is my frogman followed by my rangeman. (Don't have the models memorized 😆)
Somehow this particular design has never called to me but thanks for sharing all the info you presented here 🍻
GW-5000u will be my next purchase. Confident a square will get the job done.
where did you get your straps for all your watches? They look amazing!
For me the 5610 is the one, I wear a G shock when I'm doing something that could seriously fuck up a nice watch, I know I won't kill the G shock and if somehow I did, it's cheap! If I want to wear a watch costing a few grand I'll wear a nice mechanical piece.
I love the beaten worn look of the 3rd watch (full stainless steel) look. Makes it look like a legend that’s survived through thick and thin
No, the one single most important feature was not even discussed 🤦♂️
The $300+ models all have screw back case while the cheaper versions all use cheap screws to hold the back case.
FINALLY! FCKING FINALLY! A sane rational human being. Hello!
agree. $500 is enough for Casio. The super high $4000 price tags are for those who don't care about $, and there are plenty of those.
Or GS. We love Casio because they are inexpensive and a 4k Casio goes against that notion.
Would you say that the higher contrast STN LCD display of the GW5000D is more legible than the one of the DW5000?
Numai bine! ;)
@@ph69jbl very useful info, thanks!

I love my GW-M5610 - only £99 at Argos in the UK (currently only £79) too!
Love my GW-B5600BC-1BER, which has the articulated bracelet.
Hi. I’m having trouble finding the second model you showcased here.
You’ve listed it as the DW5000. I can’t find that reference anywhere. Closest thing I could find was the GW5000U.
Is this the correct reference please?
Correct. Is GW5k
Thank you! I appreciate your words ❤️
I think they call it Mr G because Mr Bill Gates is the only one who can afford it. 😂 Great vid. I love my 5610. Thanks!
I’m deciding between the 5600 and 5610-1 🤔
Get the 5610u as you get solar power and atomic time so it is worth it.
May I ask where can I buy the combi bracelet as your video shown?
Great presentation! The 70$ gshock is my choice. Of course i would happily accept as a gift the most expensive one😂
Great review. I’ll have to pick up that MRG eventually
Have the titanium square version G shock great video
I want to try one of them
I'm afraid that when I long ago collected the money, those two watches weren't made anymore.
also, the angle of view gets better the higher end the display's are
STN does make a difference
Can you post a link to the specific composite bracelet you put on the DW5600E?
Is the Gen2 combi bracelet. The one on the gw5000 is the Gen1. Both discontinued. But still pop up every now and then on forums and various grey market sellers
i just got metal 5000D and its super nice watch...keeper
As for the beat up looks of the gmwb5k… i actually love that ;)
I love my squares, but my absolute favorote is the gw-350. I use the vibrating alarm on it so much that i just can never be without one.

I’m deciding between the 5600 and the 5610-1
just ordered my 5000D. I've got a thing for heavy watches after having a Nixon 51-30 chrono. Had a Casio F91W-1 back in the 90's as my first ever watch. I still use one now for work every day so the 5000D is for fancier occasions where the F91 is too battered.
I love that them metal G silver has truly been worn and not babied.
I'm still wearing my GLX5600 from 2012. It's been my sports activity watch for 10 years. I finally replaced the battery for the first time last month. I just ordered the GWM5610-1 when it went on sale for $80. Can't wait till that one comes.
Why not buy a GWX-5600? Also has the moon and tide.
I Would say that the GW-M5610U is the best G-Shock so far ....For Me !!
i love the g shock series, i have about 20 models in my collection, but personally i prefer the range between 50/200 dollars!! for me the g shock is the classic digital watch with a rubber bezel around, easily to swap. i don t like the new philosophy of g shock with expensive materials and expensive collaboration, i think is more for the new generation of fashion customers. Anyway i appreciate the fact casio still produces the old good and ''cheap'' models so i m not against if the company can earn money :)
I agree with you, thinking about this video, I think the most feasible and wearable would be the most affordable one :)
I agree Ray!
I have 3 metal squares and it’s very easy to take out most of the scratches from your stainless square. I have the same one and use 3m multi micron paper to lightly sand back to factory finish.
where did you find the band for the 5600?
I have the GW5000D, my first G-Shock. probably the watch i wear the most. the 155 grams doesn't bother me but did have to get use to it. i got the all black one.
