Lexus IS350 Fsport would be my #1 choice, but they're always $5-10k CAD more then the TL for similar mileage/year. Next, I'd say 07-08G35x, and then G37x is another reliable option except I've heard lots of transmission and sensor issues on those. Audi S4, 335xi all seem to have decently high maintenance cost as they get older, but are faster mod for mod and stock for stock since they're boosted. Thanks for watching! Leave your thoughts below🤙!
S4 is probably fastest in class... having owned a G35X and a G35S both 08... the S being a 6mt sedan, I can assure you the 6spd was 10x the car. Way way way harder top end, a lot more nimble and fun, and a lot less issues throughout my ownership. I put 15k kms on my g35x in 2 years of ownership and 25k kms on my 6mt sedan in 1 year of ownership. Drove it everywhere. Better on gas as well. And also considering the fact that I drove it year round and live in edmonton, my 6mt sedan did just fine in the winter, obviously the X was better but rwd was more fun and honestly it never got stuck in alberta weather. I'm stepping into a B58 soon, but if I ever came back to this segment of cars for whatever reason, it'll definitely be another 6spd HR/VHR sedan. A 4g TL would be awesome too but they're even more rare than the G sedans 6mt, but I've really fallen in love with my rwd cars.
@danialkhan8012 yah I like that infiniti manual sedans are rwd, and the coupes. Wish they made an awd manual though, but can't go wrong with a B58 they seem to be the most reliable BMW v6 turbo so far.
Great video! I must admit I didn't like these when they came out. But now I like them a lot. They definitely are aging gracefully. Acura's design ages well.
Finally pulled the trigger on the FC04s, went with 19x9.5 +35. Lowkey wishing i went with the 18s for performance. But regardless im losing 6 pounds per wheel compared to my current ones. Tires included
I have 2010 AWD and have not experienced any vibrations from the driveshaft. At least never noticed. However, I have noticed on rare occasions a noticable hesitation on initial slamming of the accelerator. Think I read somewhere that it's the computer interpreting your driving habits. But once it senses you're requesting hard take-offs, it goes away (until the next time). But like I said, it rarely happens, but still startling when it occurs.
Well that's good! I don't think they all have it, but it is a common issue for sure. Mileage and maintenance will come into play too. Hmm, yah I've heard of other brands having similar issue with the trans where it'll be sluggish if they've been driving sluggish for a while.
I could have sworn that the TL sh-awd came with brembos just like the Acura RL. Some big brake caliper brembos and drill slotted rotors would make your TL really shine.
I love my 2005 TL but its just fwd . 6 speed manual , Front Brembos and limited slip . Triple Black . I don't need awd cause I dont drive it in the winter in NY state .
I'm conflicted... for around $15K USD, I could get a 3G TL Type-S or a 4G TL SH-AWD. I love the design of the '07-'08 Type-S and feel like it's more of a special car, plus it weighs a lot less, but the interiors of the 3G TL-S are all falling apart -- cracked dashboards, ripped leather, flaked-off metal trim on the console, etc. Also, I want an automatic for my daily-driver, and the 2012+ 4G TL SH-AWD gets the superior 6-speed auto and can put the power down, while the TL-S has the less-reliable old 5-speed auto, and that car has an open diff, so it's going to do a one-wheel peel. I live in Dallas, Texas, so I don't need AWD. Which one would you get?
It all depends what you want to do with it, if you plan on making a decent amount of power the Type S won't put the power down until 2nd or 3rd, and coming out of turns with the 4g in the rain and having the back end go sideways a bit is very fun. You would have to try both and see which one you like more. Personally I'd chose the 6AT 4G or the 5AT Type S. Manual Type S, then I'm not sure which I'd chose lol.
I own 2 of these both auto one an 09 the other a 2012 my brother owns a 2014 Lexus gs350 f sport and in my opinion that’s is the best used awd car then comes the TL or q50
Well, I would say IS350 Fsport is the best when it comes to the auto. I tried the IS300 Fsport 3.5 awd, and absolutely loved that thing. This is under $15k CAD, the IS350 Fsport for same year is $10k CAD more.
Can't wait for mine to be out if the body shop. Rental is a Challenger v6 and it is making me really miss my TL. Already slammed a phantom clutch twice always stops my heart for a split second lmao
Yeah 😂 AWD TL is more planted on the road 🛣️ still missing my 2012 TL wheel size 245 50 17 inch in November 2022😢 yeah 😂 am loving 🎉 my 2015 MDX tech package it's riding soo smood little 🌬️ sound nice 👍 review TL looking 😂 really 😺 in black 🐈⬛
hey bro I have a guy selling a 2010 Acura TL w/ 242KM, clean interior and exterior, only problem is the brakes need to be changed. Should I buy it for $4500
I'd ask for maintenance records, when's the last time timing belt was done, oil changed, transmission fluid changed...brakes as in rotors and pads or is there a caliper stuck?
Drive shaft vibrating 🤔 wonder if that’s my issue on my 2010. Bitch be shaking from the pedal accelerating above 80. Shaking goes in and out. Balance the tires like 3 times. Front Alignment is off just by a little bit nothing crazy. So I dnt know what’s this
@4rennn I would say yes, but another downside to Takeda is the piping is only 3" I believe, and these work best with 4" piping and a tune. Going to try to make a custom 4" Cold Air in the next cpl weeks.

Had mine for over 10 years. Had to change the alternator that’s it. It’s my daily now. I’m keeping her till she gives out on me.
Good to hear! Definitely bulletproof imo.

Yes I agree, when they first came out I hated them. Now that I'm older and seen what you can do to them to make them look better, I love them.
Great video brother
Thanks man!👊

Nice man, congrats! Definitely a great price, design and weight👌
My TL seats were so comfy the Audi A6 didnt match its comfort level
Believe it or not my 2010 Fusion Sport seats were almost just as, if not more comfy than the 4G TL.
First 20 seconds engine exhaust ratio sounds right

I’m going to look at one tomo. Timing chain replaced, aftermarket intakes, and on coils. Crossing my fingers this goes through.
Awesome! Wishing you the best of luck🤞!

No, unfortunately it does not. The 3rd Gen Type S did though, definitely needs a big brake kit asap tired of having crappy brakes.

Hey man, nice vid 🔥, I’am planning on getting one of these maybe this week how much does it cost for you to fill up your tank.
It used to cost me $70 from empty before Trudeau ruined our country. Now it's about $120. It's an 18.5 Gallon tank or about 70 liters.

@@RevsALot Any advice on making more power
@bromajik5183 in the video I go over all that
I'm running 20x10.5 wheels with rolled front n rear fender
Yah that would probably look nice👌, but it would be on the heavier side for sure which loses a decent amount of power to the wheels.
@@RevsALot Yeah they are a bit heavy. I've been thinking about grabbing a second set of wheels in maybe a 17" or 18"

Do you recommend getting a cold air are you think leaving it stock is fine as is
They don't make a true CAI, but at 15:40 mark I answer this question
Cold air intake does make it more fun to drive and brings out the vtec noise
@DeathlikeVo I was thinking of the
aFe Power Takeda Cold Air
@bromajik5183 got the same one, u can still put the engine bay covers over it to make it look discreet. It's definitely worth it, in my opinion 🫡
@@DeathlikeVo only downside is the heat will stay in a lot more tmwith the engine covers

It could be, it's a common issue for the 09-11. Not as common on the 2012-14. I think it might make a slight whistling sound too.
It's supposed to be a bearing in the drive shaft
