      Portia F If your car is front wheel drive, it is equipped with the 3.5 L, you shouldn’t have any oil consumption problems. it’s the all-wheel-drive SH-AWD models that have the oil consumption problem. Because they use the 3.7 L engine.

      @Sammy Phillps I'm a bit late, but you will never come across a honda motor that does not consume at least a little bit of oil. I have heard of the 3,7s drinking oil but it would be pretty clear if you were burning "too much". My 3.7 SH-AWD has 90k KILOMETRES and burns a little bit of oil (I do however drive pretty aggressively)

    I own a 12' awd. The best modification I did on mine was the the one I never expected. So after jpipe, third cat delete and intake. None gave me the power I was expecting. Until I got my rim and tire setup. The factory rims same as the videos (18's) weigh over 32lbs and the michaline stock tires are 33lbs. I replaced the rims with flow forming light 19.5 lbs rims in 19 inch and went with some 21.5 lbs continental extreme dw's. Lost a total of 24 lbs of rotational mass. But on a AWD vehicle where all four tires get the car going. It was a night and day difference. Head snapping off take off difference. The amount of power that you restore with out those stocks is ridicules. I'm so surprised acura desired on puting those on with they're over weight, performance robbing rims.

    A lot of uh, strange choices ngl.
    Reliability of these TL's is good, but spending the amount you did especially with that kind of apr percentage is uhh.
    I bought a used '12 A6 Quattro 3.0T in early 2020 with 98k miles for $11,0000. Is it issue free? No. But it was $11,000!!! I've testdriven lots of similar cars including a G37X, A4, 328i, 528i, 320d, Passat CC VR6, GTI, C250, C300, LS460, Volvo S60, Genesis Sedan, TL-SHAWD, and TLX. The Acuras drive nicely but so does my Audi with a nicer interior & Active Cruise Control.. I have yet to experience an OEM sound system as good as the ELS system in the TL though.
    And if you're already getting a car over others because of reliability concerns, why also pay for an extended warranty?? If you're willing to pay for an extended warranty, why not spend less upfront for a nicer less-reliable car with that same extended warranty? Unless you plan to drive it 500k miles you'd be spending a similar amount to own & drive a B8.5 S4 or C7 A6 3.0T..

    • @RevsALot
      @RevsALot  ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought this is 2017, and came out of a 29.9% loan. So this was 4 years old at the time, with 30k miles for about $18k USD. Did you try a manual 4th Gen TL SH-AWD though? I've launched this hard over 200 times, got trans fixed under warranty so I got my money's worth out of warranty. Drive like I stole it everytime I take it out, only issue I've had is 2nd gear syncros. I'm now modded, and rev this thing to 7500-7800 and still no issue. This will eventually go up in value, where as the Audi will not.

      @RevsALot  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lmao, I dunno I have a 2013 and have none of that🤷‍♂️. The materials and finish I find are great, with the soft touch dash and the trim finish I find is great. Headlight material, I don't know what you mean about that? The lenses are the same as pretty much every car from that era. Headliner quality, I have no problems other then it's beige and not black like the rest. The leather I find is better then all the previous and newer models. The wheels are aluminum, I have a set from a 2010 with over 300+km (200k) miles and that's with pur harsh salty winters and they're mint. Do you have a base model or something? My only complaint is my steering wheel is fading, but I'm upgrading to forged carbon with flat bottom eventually anyways.

      306hp the generation you're talking about. Rwd get those times, not the awd. Awd they're 5.2 0-60, 13.8-9 1/4 mile. Really aggressive gearing for 1/4 mile, but they die down after 100mph. Also, the awd in that generation is very rare, were out of budget, and no manual option. Newer models are slower, but for reliability Lexus all the way. But I would recommend babying the car for like 4000 km then doing an oil change before you get back to vtec and racing. I fucking love the car my dude and video as well. These TL's are absolute gems. That said... imho you made a terrible financial decision. I usually don't pipe up regarding how other people spend their money but I just don't understand the logic on this one. You rolled debt from your old car, into a used car then ended up with a 6 year finance at 12% interest. You're literally spending over $14,000 just to borrow the money to finance this car. Quick math says that's $35,000 + $14,000 = $49,000 of net dollars for a used Acura TL. Then factor in premium fuel consumption and insurance. You say you're not rich - but spending nearly $50 grand (of net income) to afford a high performance Japanese luxury sedan screams the opposite. Sorry to be so critical, but when I hear someone say things like, "I rolled in debt", "my credit is not good" and "i'm not rich", its decisions like these that will be incredibly harmful in the long term.

    I'd rather have a 07-08 G35X, its rear wheel drive bias plus more mods available. This is more premium to be in tho.

      Manual awd is hard to beat for fun. 07-08 G35x is definitely the best used bang for your buck performance/reliability/luxury🔥.

    $600 a month with 12% interest??? Dude I hope your credit improving after a year or so and refinance it. That is crazy interest rate

      Yah my credit is good now, but I've been throwing extra on the loan to save interest

      Can't go wrong with either or. I just prefer the manual cause they are a bit quicker, 90lbs. Lighter and just a more fun driving experience.

      @RevsALot I hear you, but after driving an 18 speed all day, I pretty much crave the Automatic to drive home the paddles do justice

      @bromajik5183 auto is definitely better for a daily. I own a Q50 3.0 for the family now, and when I want to have fun and drive it like I stole it I take the TL lol.

    Germans cars are cool when they are new but they quickly start falling apart better to lease a German car then buy one imo. But you can’t beat a Honda J Series engine.

    • @RevsALot
      @RevsALot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      140k km or miles?...either way that's a good price with the current market imo. Just make sure timing belt, water pump, tensior has been recently changed
