To protect himself from possible retribution by the World Mission Society Church of God, “David Erdman” is using a fake name and his face is blurred out. This is because the WMSCOG is alleged to use law suits and family separation as ways of silencing those who openly come against them.
Here is my whole playlist of videos going into DETAIL about the true history and false teachings of the World Mission Society Church of God. th-cam.com/play/PLZ3iRMLYFlHvwOzziMOk9ZIHKphdag47d.html

Acts 17:11 says that the Bereans were fair, because they received the apostles' word with readiness of mind, but then they searched the scriptures to prove them to be true.
It definitely sounds like they were healthy skeptics! I always try to hit that balance. Listening to people openly, and listening, but like you said.... Being really protective of my mind and guarding my heart, through God's word, not just my opinion

I truly empathize with this man. I was born into a destructive cult. Eight months ago, after being inside for 26 years, my girlfriend and I escaped with new phone numbers, emails, bank accounts, etc. My mother, brother, and dearest friends are still on the inside. Since we escaped, I've spent all of my free time researching cults, emotional and spiritual abuse, personality disorders, and thought reform. This stuff is more dangerous than anyone could possibly imagine. I've watched it destroy life after life after life.
Life is so good now. I've tasted freedom for the first time ever and will never let it go. Even more, it's been a joy discovering what Christianity truly is and cutting through the misinterpretation and manipulation. I'll be graduating from law school in a month and plan to spend the rest of my life fighting for adults in children in cults, domestic violence situations, and abusive relationships.

Studying the “Big 5,” especially in Jordan Peterson’s TH-cam lectures/clips helped me understand the psychology around all this when I was pursuing a career in marketing.
Notice how *on average* women are easier to market to because we’re higher in “agreeableness” than most men. (I myself am low in agreeableness, but high in openness, which has me fascinated with this stuff, as it causes me to feel less feminine than I want to be...)
Anyway! To “Christianize” that term: more women are easier to be nurturing and submissive than men are, and thus shy away from a debate.
Narcissists and manipulators use this to gain leverage on easy prey, like young impressionable women who most likely don’t know themselves yet and just want to fit in with a group.

When I was 18, I almost joined a cult. I was in a relationship and the guy was a part of this strange church, but I gave it a chance. They scared me by saying they were the only ones who had a CHANCE to be saved and I believed it. Soon, we were engaged as college Freshman. My family soon warned me of dangers and I was utterly confused. I spent months struggling with my faith and the relationship became abusive. Soon, I left both him and the cult.
I’m now almost 22 years old and will graduate college soon. I transferred universities to get far away from this cult. While I still struggle with fear, I know God is powerful and is working through me, I’m getting stronger by the day!
To those of you who love someone in a cult, just know there is hope! Remind your loved one how you feel about them and make time for non judgement conversations. Take the time to listen and be gentle with your words. I received both loving advice and judgmental advice. The judgmental comments really slowed me down. Remember, it is more important to help someone than “be correct.”

Listen to what happened at my Son’s High School Classroom.
Teacher told the class to all go the right side of the classroom. The teacher said:
    1. Go to the left side if you think that we need more gun control. Some kids go to the left.
    2. Go to the left side if you think that Abortion is okay. Several more kids go to the left.
    3. Go to the left side of the class if you think that gay marriage is okay. All but two kids moved over to the left side. My son and one other boy. At this point listening to the story I am thinking great job for standing your ground but feeling a concern...
Then the teacher asked him why did you stay on the right side of the classroom? My 18 years old son answered because the Bible says that Marriage is between a Man and a Woman.
I am one Very Proud Father!!! More importantly God is proud of him!!!
Ironically the teacher said that’s what I believe too.

I am glad to hear your son doesn’t give in to peer pressure and trusts God over human society. But, I am disappointed to hear that schools are devising such methods on students. I really dislike that the political left is categorizing people and teaching what is right or wrong based on the categorization. And I likewise really dislike someone on the political right doing the same.
I dunno, maybe I’m wrong to say students shouldn’t be forced to say what their beliefs are in a classroom, but currently I feel very strongly that they should not.
And in an activity like that they are forcing students to state their beliefs. Because I assume the teacher didn’t give the students the option to leave and sit down without casting a vote.
Those scenarios I think are too close to peer pressuring students, and some students might not know yet what to believe because they’re still learning.

I will be praying for David and his family. We nearly lost our son to Buddhism. We did not know where he was for two years. But before he cut off communication with us, we discovered he had divested himself of most of his worldly goods, was living at a monastery and was in training to become a Buddhist monk! If not for God's prayer warriors and daily dives into His Word, we would not have survived. Like David, I immersed myself in reading about Buddhism and even visited a Buddhist abbey to speak with "nuns" there. I was hoping that when my son contacted us, I would be more prepared to connect with him. Then, one day, out of the blue, we received a call from our son asking if he could come home. We don't know why he left the monastery and rejected Buddhism - we are just SO thankful to have him home! He has not fully embraced Christianity again, but God must have a plan in all this that will bring glory and honor to His name!

He meant people who are literally IN his name. Do you even know what it means to be IN the name of jesus christ. That doesnt mean coming on his behalf, it doesnt mean praying and saying "in jesus name", being IN his name literally means you are IN the word, IN the over soul that IS Christ Jesus. To be IN the name of jesus means you are In him, not just him in you, theres a difference between the two.. christ is in all, but not all are in christ. Just like you should do a jewish study on what son of man means, and what man means. You folks don't even know what it means to be in his name.. to know what that means takes an extensive study on jewish culture and language, and what exactly they believed during the time of christ.

There have been like an endless abyss of manipulations in the name of the Lord Jesus. Wouldn't pretend to 'write' back with scriptural verses.

I've had this happen to me too. In college I was reunited with my best friend from elementary, we had lost contact in middle school. So meeting her again was so amazing and then she asked me if I wanted to have a bible study. I of course was so excited because she knew I was Christian, in fact she was one of the first people I told about me wanting to get baptized. So I actually thought, I actually thought when we met up for the "bible study" she started to bring up all these blasphemous things.
I couldn't believe what was happening and I just broke down. I was so angry and shocked, not at her but at the fact that this cult twists the word of God so horribly.
I do think I scared her though because I just started crying and trying to explain to her that that wasn't it. It was so terrible, I wish I had been more prepared in my walk with God. I had to ask my parents to pick me up from school and l couldn't even explain to them what was happening because I was crying non-stop, its just so crazy.

I’m in the Atlanta area. My wife and I were part of a controlling church for 15+ years. We were in college and we were hooked. The pastor told us that she was our spiritual mother and that God picked us out to be her children since she lost her biological ones. She picked 12 of us (6 similar aged couples) and basically made us into her “disciples”. We called her mom and we felt very special. I wouldn’t call the church a cult but looking back, there were a lot of “cult” like characteristics. We were told that no other church was like us. We were the only true disciples and other churches were just playing religion, etc. The pastor used Watchman Née’s book Spiritual Authority to tell us that we need to submit and not question her. After all, she’s not only our spiritual authority, she was also our mom. As we got older, we started questioning things but by then we were so involved with the church and basically it became our entire life. We finally left about 4 years ago but a lot of our friends are still there and . We spent most of our adult lives there. It’ll be too long to talk about everything that happened there but thank God we were able to break away. I believe the pastor wanted to create a community that she could control and stay safe. She loved having people flock to her and calling her mom and compete for her attention and praise. We’re still in the process of healing and re-learning things. I’m praying for others that God will wake them up.

I’m talking maybe 5-6 years of biblical lighthearted sharing. Then suddenly when no one was there he got up in my face and made himself large and he was already a very large almost 60 something athletic man. I enjoyed our dialogues all those years and considered him a friend. He never scared me. But that day his eyes got scary and he demanded I declare God was Mother. Nope! I stood him down and stood my ground. He backed away and cackled and tried to call me friend. I told him no one who uses fear to intimidate me to make a false confession would be called friend. I never went back. Found a new dog park. That was a long game. Maybe he was somehow connected to this cult. Yikes. He knew I had just left an abusive marriage situation and was in a difficult time. It can never be stressed enough, how important it is to read the bible on your own. It is a spiritual book, it is the Holy Spirit that ministers to you when you read it. It is so important to cultivate this with yourself first before fellowshipping with people and relying on others to tell you what the bible says. In 43 years as a Mormon I never heard a sermon preached where even an attempt was made at exegesis. I never even knew what it meant until 3 years after leaving. They just quote a passage, give their own interpretation as the obvious truth, and move on to the next proof text. I never so much as heard any acknowledgment of another possible interpretation. Nothing to think about - no alternative to consider. No need to read the previous verse, or the one after. Context doesn’t matter either. I think the most difficult thing about leaving this group is the Love Bombing. I've been in the WMSCOG for 4 months, I left after seeing your videos Mike, God bless you for that. But the difficult part I'm still dealing with is the heartbreak. I honestly wish it wasn't a cult because of the love bombing, they make you feel like family, the sense of community is very strong with this group and you just become addicted to the love. I'm freshly out but struggling because the Deacon and his wife are just such nice people, even after I left I feel heartbroken for me and for them still. I know time will heal all wounds but I'm scared I might relapse. I've made myself a ritual of "everytime I think about joining again, just remind myself that it's a cult" So far it's working.

They came up and told me they are doing a survey about people believing in heaven and hell, ask me if I'm interested. Then they started to sell their idea that you need to keep the passover to go to heaven. And they literally show me a poster that they prepared that has Luke 22:19 in big bold red font, saying that is their biblical proof. And I literally just tell them can you read that verse again? Jesus said :「do this」for what? They BOTH replied at the same time : 「in remembrance of Me」LOL!! I said: 「Yeah~ in remembrance of Me! Not to get saved!」Then they said to me they are new believers so they are not so familiar with the Bible, then ask me if they could have my number because they have better "teachers" in their church that could answer my questions. I said to them if you want my number just so that you could have your people to educate me? Forget it, because my church is teaching biblical sound doctrines verse by verse, and you guys don't even know what you're preaching. Then they walked away.
And the second time they were more "prepared", and also more "aggressive", they almost get angry by the questions that I asked them. 1 of the guy literally raise his voice saying: "You don't even want to believe!! It's meaningless for you to ask those questions!!" And I was like, what?! You guys came up to me, wasting my time with your bad theology, what is that attitude for? LOL!! They came to my door once, I invited them in. It got really awkward. They said “are you sealed with the Spirit of God?” I asked if they meant the Seal of the Spirit. They said no. And it got way crazier from there. At some point they told me they didn’t want to tell me of the Woman in Asia who they saw as the Messiah, because they didn’t want me to blaspheme her name. Or something like that, it’s been a long time. We both awkwardly laughed. They seemed to have this weird, WAY out of context, train they took scripturally from Revelation and it was definitely all out of context. Eventually ending with observing the law, and making fun of the cross on my wall. I think when I said I didn’t worship the cross on my wall, they said yeah well it’s an idol. Needless to say, I’m pretty sure they left feeling like I had made some really good points. I think I showed them how they weren’t following the OT systems of Law. And the usual awkwardness persisted. They are ABSOLUTELY confused, and you can tell they camouflage that confusion with a false confidence.

Tammuz was killed by a wild boar when he was 40. His death is marked by Ash Wednesday when a “t” is marked on the forehead. Ishtar instituted 40 days of weeping. Ham is eaten on Easter Sunday and bread is baked to the queen of heaven and Everyone worshiped the sun.

I just attended a service and was not aware that this "church of God" was like this. A friend brought me, and she's genuine in her involvement.
They were based in a house, since they're in the process of looking for a building.
I was immediately approached by a "sister" (not a nun) who began to explain that the true Christians are supposed to honor the sabbath on Saturday and that only them and 1 other denomination follow this. I was then told that all other denominations are "of the enemy. Then we went downstairs to the basement for the services and I was given a head covering (a veil) and the service began. The men and women were separated. There was an Asian man on the screen preaching in Korean at the same time as the English service played, I assumed translating since the leaders were asian but spoke English perfectly. Then they started singing from a book called "new songs" (I think) and a few times I saw a name or a word I didn't recognize that started with an A that they were clearly worshiping by the surrounding text. (I learned through TH-cam videos after that this is the name of mother God.)
Then they all welcomed me as a new sister to the congregation and everyone turned around and started doing a welcoming "dance" with their hands while they repeated that they loved me.
It was all kind of scary. The men were not friendly with me and rarely made eye contact while the women appeared to love bomb me.
I mean no disrespect to my friend. I love her but I had to honestly admit that I would continue to look for a church that "felt right" before committing to anything. 😮

I also was in a cult like this, they called themselves the end-time church. This is in my country, Suriname. My friend invited me. They could tell me about my past very well and they could read your mind which made me think they were true prophets. I did notice some strange things they did or said where I thought: "this is not from Christ". But they always said that when you doubt the prophet of Christ you will be punished by God, so I didn't question them about the strange things I noticed. I invited my mom, brother and a friend also. And my friend who invited me also invited his parents and siblings. My mom and brother only went once, but my friends parents went almost every service. At the beginning everything seemed good, because they could state everything from the bible, make it seem like they did miracles and prophecy very well. But later on they started putting their door on lock, saying that if someone wants to enter that person has to be screened first otherwise that person would bring evil spirits inside the church. They did say that they were the only church where God is, the only one going to heaven, so we had to bring everyone to this church to be saved. But everyone we bring has to be screened first and cleansed from evil spirits. They made you believe that anyone not from that church has evil spirits. I remember one day I would feel a horrible pain like something was painfully squeezing my heart and I wasn't the only one who felt it that day. The prophets felt it also and one prophet said that God was very angry at us, because we weren't connected with Him. They would use fear and always say that God is angry with you, so you had to follow exactly what the prophets told you, otherwise God will punish you. I now believe that it actually really was an evil spirit that squeezed our hearts and not God being angry with us. God will never hurt anyone, even if you disobey Him. God is love and He loves. It is not true that God hurts people. We should get a real relationship with Jesus and we will see how much God truly loves us. . I used to get a ride from a family to church, but one day they must have left early, because I waited for them half a day but I never saw them. Later on that day I received a message from them saying they were already in church. I cried to God asking Him why He made me miss that day in church, because I believed that God was only in that church, so if I didn't go that day, then I missed being with God that day. And I thought that I did something wrong, that's why God didn't want to see me that day and that's why He made miss the ride to church that day. I noticed that the friend who first invited me wasn't at a church a few days, so I sent him a message, telling him what happened and that I was sad I missed church that day. He told me to come to his house because he wants to tell me personally why he didn't attend the last days. So I went and he told me every behind the scenes things the "prophets" of that church did to make it seem like the Holy Spirit is talking to them, while they were just mind-reading and guessing and so many other things. And as he told me I started realizing that I did see the red flags, but I ignored them, because I didn't want to doubt the so called "prophets of God" and bring judgement upon myself. And if you tell them that you don't want to go to that church anymore they will tell you that you will go straight to hell and demons will come and make you sick and make you lose your mind. That's what they did to my friend and he got really sick and did almost die, but his parents prayed by his bed every day and night. That's why he didn't attend the church those last days. He was lying in bed, very very ill because they cursed him that this will happen. So I immediately blocked everyone of that church from my social media and whatsapp and I never went to that church again. I disappeared silently you could say. I didn't want to give them a chance to curse me also. When I came home from my friend after he told me about them I told my mom about it and she thanked God, because she said that she already saw the red flags that day she attended that church with me and when she attended her own church conference she saw the parents of my friend who invited me and she talked to them about the church where I and their son were going and they told her immediately that it was a cult, but they went undercover, acting like they believed them just to take their son out of that church. And my mom said to them that they should let their son help me get of that church also, because she doesn't know how to get me out and maybe I will listen to their son. And they all prayed for us for God to guide us. So I realized that God didn't hate me, but He loves me and that's why He made me miss the ride to church that day. And it's the prayer of our parents that got us out. And to this day I am more a believer in Christ than ever. I know the true Holy Spirit guides me. I opened the bible that day and this is what I read: For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24. I knew that was the Holy Spirit telling me that I belonged to the very elect and that Jesus loves me and that I got deceived by those false prophets, but God saved me. So to this father and every other parent who lost their kid to a cult I would say: keep praying for your kids and trust in Jesus Christ. Keep praying, don't give up. Jesus Christ will get them out of that church. He loves all of us. He saves all of us. All praise to the most High living God! Hallelujah, Amen!

      2 Thessalonians 2:9-12
9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
So what’s the strong delusion? It’s more subtle than you think.

I would fear, that would be my knee-jerk reaction, it is in every situation, but I suppress that fear because I end up making things worse, doing what my flesh says to do, even though it looks right in my own eyes.
I suppress the fear reaction because I cling to the words God says multiple times throughout scripture of do not fear.. and I remember hearing another father's testimony very similar to this guy with his daughter, a guy in my church. And he said he obeyed God at his word and chose not to fear and just keep praying for his daughter and after a year or 2 she turned around, because when he would try to talk to his daughter it made her wall up and not listen even more. He was getting the opposite results trying to get to his daughter on his own.
So long story short.. I said that because I am wanting to live by faith to not fear.

I had a lengthy conversation with one yesterday. The man was in this "church" for 9 years and unwilling to even consider that he was wrong. Calling his beliefs wrong, heretical, or a cult reinforces, in their mind, what Jesus said about being persecuted when you follow Him. The entire conversation was really sad, unsettling and seemingly hopeless for opening his eyes to the truth. I believe the only way for the wool over their eyes to be removed is through fervent prayer.

Mike, I am from Mumbai, I was also struggling with my faith and what to believe and what not to believe. There are so many people that say different doctrines. All I understood is I wanted to follow the bible. One day ony way home I met two women who asked me if I was a Christian, I agreed but I don't belong to any particular church. They asked me about these same things and if they could come visit me for bible studies. I welcomed them over and during the study they talked about the earthly family and there is the same heavenly mirror copy in heaven. I found that weird. I told them I never heard about such things. I do read the bible and told them the things I understand. After the session they told me can I come again tomorro , so I welcomed them. They told me that they were from the church of God, which I had never heard of. It so happened that they have not turned up since that day. I do not make an attempt to reach out these people. I keep searching for truth and came across this testimony of yours. I am so glad I did. I feel Yeshua is always guiding me in some way or the other to search for truth. I sort of like apologetics. I told her the world is longing for Jesus's return right now. She mentioned that Jesus came back in 1947. Was she for real? That's when I realized she belongs to a cult. I googled and was shocked to see her messiah was a Korean man who died. The irony. I am Korean and I thought it was hilarious (and sad) that so many Koreans can claim to be the 2nd coming of Christ. I strongly think that families should be reading the Bible together. It should be part of family life, like having dinner together. At least when the child is young. But maybe also as adults.
If families put as much effort into studying the Bible as they did helping with homework for school, etc. then kids would really know it well. And I don’t mean reading the Bible and memorizing verses. But, actually discussing openly what a passage meant and what the time period and cultural significance and what archeological evidence there is for the Bible, how science supports the Bible, etc.
If parents taught their kids every day about these topics in depth in an open discussion and as a family they all learn together then they wouldn’t be so fragile in their faith and understanding.

This is so crazy because I got approached by someone from this cult a few years back and didn't even know it was the same as the Mother God thing. I was reading my Bible somewhere in public on a nice day at a table outside, and I prayed that if there was someone God wanted me to witness to, that they would see me reading the Bible and come ask me something about it. Not long after I prayed that, this girl approached me and said she was asking people questions for a school project. Then she started talking to me about how the book of Revelation predicted world war 2. It was a lot of very complicated stuff about Revelation and end times. At this point I did not know what group she was a part of or that it was a cult. She said they were called Church of God, and I had no clue what that was. She asked me if I wanted to meet her again for a Bible study. So I said yes, still kind of wondering if this was a regular Christian group. Right before we were going to meet, she called and said she had brought another person from her church with her, and asked if that was okay. I said sure. So we met in the same place, and that's when I realized how off their teachings were. They explained to me that all churches outside their own are wrong because they do not observe the passover and other feasts/ceremonies. They said communion is actually called the passover and must be observed at a particular time of year, and if not that person is not really saved. They also said baptism is necessary for salvation. Then they said that all of us lived in Heaven before we came to earth, and Adam and Eve's sin took place in Heaven. After that all humans were kicked out of Heaven and our memories were wiped, so we have no remembrance of our previous time in Heaven. I thought this was very similar to Mormonism. By the grace of God I had prepared myself beforehand and prepared some verses to refute certain things I'd heard from the first conversation. They wanted to meet with me again a third time, and I said yes because I really wanted to evangalize. Not saying it's wise to keep meeting with members from a group like this, but I ended up saying yes. This time halfway through one of the girls said she had to leave. Then a completely different girl approached us, and was like "Hey, watcha guys talking about?" Then she explained that she was from their church and just happened to be working nearby and see us there. I honestly don't believe it was just a coincidence, I think it was planned. So this other girl sat down and started debating with me too. This meeting was where they talked about how the Sabbath is actually on Saturday and that it was changed due to pagan influence, and if you went to church on Sunday you were actually worshipping the devil. Thankfully God gave me the right words to say where I was able to refute their points. I don't think they were convinced, but after that they stopped contacting me. I texted the girl I first met and invited her to my Christian group on campus. She didn't come, but I believe God put her in my path for a reason. They seemed like lovely people who honestly believed what they were saying. Please pray for these girls. 🙏 But it's crazy all this other stuff I had no clue about, because they don't tell you up front. They didn't say anything about this Korean guy or even the God the mother concept. It's like they're hiding it from you because you'll instantly know it's a cult if they say those things up front. They want to make it seem like just true Christianity. They take a lot of verses out of context too. I think they are hoping to run into people who don't really know their Bibles or aren't sure what they believe so they can be more easily convinced. They are also around the college I graduated from, going around on campus and trying to recruit people by inviting them to Bible studies. I also know of a friend of a friend who got involved and was trying to convert my friend. She went to the group itself and asked them for information about what they believed, like how regular churches have a mission statement that lists their core beliefs. They got really sketchy about it and had nothing to give her. They also told her not to look up stuff online about them because it was not true. If any group has to use lies and deceit and hide things from you, that's an instant red flag. I will be praying for this man's daughter that she will come out of this cult and find her way to true Christianity. 🙏❤

Some people from this church came to my door years ago, before I got married and when I was younger Christian. I thought that I was being a good Christian letting them in because I was naive at the time. They took me through a myriad of scriptures and even on that first day, they told me about God the mother. Something was not right, so I told them that I would have to pray about it and they asked if they could call me the next day. After they left I told my boyfriend, now husband, and he was like, "dude they are a cult." We did research and found out about their beliefs, and I realized that yes, this church was a cult. One of the followers called me back the next day and I told her, you are in a cult. She didn't really want to listen, so I emailed her scriptures backing up the truth about Jesus Christ and the gospel. I never heard back from her.

He is like the person on a plane that is in trouble, he is attempting to put the mask on his child before himself. He will be overtaken, and both could be lost!!

My cousin won’t listen to anyone and is very explosive and argumentative when she is questioned about what she says that she gets from the church. However, she is really vocal about attacking biblical truth that she believes is not “interpreted” correctly. It could be written plainly in the Bible but she holds on to her beliefs. I just pray that God opens her eyes and delivers her.

Learn to pray from the court of Heaven BUT you must be strong spiritually to do this because devils do retaliate. I experienced that hugely when I prayed in that way over my nephew, who had a very bad bloodline from his dad's family. It has cost my family hugely. But God gives the victory. Yet you still must be very strong or you may be attacked in a severe way you aren't prepapred for. Devils do retaliate from those kinds of prayers because it pulls the person's life from destruction.

Jesus’ declaration that He came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets, not to abolish them, obviously contains two statements in one. There is something Jesus did and something He did not do. At the same time, Jesus emphasized the eternal nature of the Word of God.
Jesus goes out of His way to promote the authority of the Law of God. He did not come to abolish the Law, regardless of what the Pharisees accused Him of. In fact, Jesus continues His statement with a commendation for those who teach the Law accurately and hold it in reverence: “Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:19).
Note the qualities that Jesus attributes to the Word of God, referenced as “the Law and the Prophets”: 1) The Word is everlasting; it will outlast the natural world. 2) The Word was written with intent; it was meant to be fulfilled. 3) The Word possesses plenary authority; even the smallest letter of it is established. 4) The Word is faithful and trustworthy; “everything” it says will be accomplished. No one hearing Jesus’ words in the Sermon on the Mount could doubt His commitment to the Scriptures.
Consider what Jesus did not do in His ministry. In Matthew 5:17, Jesus says that He did not come to abolish the Law and the Prophets. In other words, Jesus’ purpose was not to abrogate the Word, dissolve it, or render it invalid. The Prophets will be fulfilled; the Law will continue to accomplish the purpose for which it was given (see Isaiah 55:10-11).
Next, consider what Jesus did do. Jesus says that He came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets. In other words, Jesus’ purpose was to establish the Word, to embody it, and to fully accomplish all that was written. “Christ is the culmination of the law” (Romans 10:4). The predictions of the Prophets concerning the Messiah would be realized in Jesus; the holy standard of the Law would be perfectly upheld by Christ, the strict requirements personally obeyed, and the ceremonial observances finally and fully satisfied.
Jesus Christ fulfilled the Prophets in that, in His first coming alone, He fulfilled hundreds of prophecies concerning Himself (e.g., Matthew 1:22; 13:35; John 19:36; Luke 24:44). Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law in at least two ways: as a teacher and as a doer. He taught people to obey the Law (Matthew 22:35-40; Mark 1:44), and He obeyed the Law Himself (John 8:46; 1 Peter 2:22). In living a perfect life, Jesus fulfilled the moral laws; in His sacrificial death, Jesus fulfilled the ceremonial laws. Christ came not to destroy the old religious system but to build upon it; He came to finish the Old Covenant and establish the New.
Jesus came not to destroy the Law and the Prophets but to fulfill them. In fact, the ceremonies, sacrifices, and other elements of the Old Covenant were “only a shadow of the good things that are coming-not the realities themselves” (Hebrews 10:1). The tabernacle and temple were “holy places made with hands,” but they were never meant to be permanent; they were but “copies of the true things” (Hebrews 9:24, ESV). The Law had a built-in expiration date, being filled as it was with “external regulations applying until the time of the new order” (Hebrews 9:10).
In His fulfillment of the Law and Prophets, Jesus obtained our eternal salvation. No more were priests required to offer sacrifices and enter the holy place (Hebrews 10:8-14). Jesus has done that for us, once and for all. By grace through faith, we are made right with God: “He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross” (Colossians 2:14).
There are some who argue that, since Jesus did not “abolish” the Law, then the Law is still in effect-and still binding on New Testament Christians. But Paul is clear that the believer in Christ is no longer under the Law: “We were held in custody under the Law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the Law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian” (Galatians 3:23-25, BSB). We are not under the Mosaic Law but under “the law of Christ” (see Galatians 6:2).
If the Law is still binding on us today, then it has not yet accomplished its purpose-it has not yet been fulfilled. If the Law, as a legal system, is still binding on us today, then Jesus was wrong in claiming to fulfill it and His sacrifice on the cross was insufficient to save. Thank God, Jesus fulfilled the whole Law and now grants us His righteousness as a free gift. “Know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified” (Galatians 2:16).

God told Moses to build the ark of the covenant to house the 10 commandments written on two tables of stone, four on one tablet of stone and the other six on the other tablet of stone.
When someone says the 10 Commandments was nailed to the cross in the Old Testament and we don’t have to keep them anymore the following is what they don’t understand because they have not studied.
      👇🏿
And it came to pass, (when Moses) had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,
26 Take this (book of the law,) and put it
(in the 👉🏾SIDE 👈🏾of the ark) of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
      👆🏿
      THIS
Is what was nailed to the cross:
      Colossians 2:14 (KJV)
      Blotting out the HANDWRITING 👈🏾 of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
The book of the law written by Moses that contained all of the ordinances and rules that governed the Community of people he was managing..
      👉🏿NOT Gods Ten Commandments....
      After studying we see that there are TWO covenant laws ; one that Moses wrote and the 10 Commandments in which God wrote with his own finger;
Kept 👉🏾INSIDE 👈🏾The Ark of the Covenant.
      ******Exodus 25:16
“And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.”
People who are not studying misunderstand that there were TWO covenant laws associated with the ark of the covenant and that one of them was nailed to the cross. One placed the👉🏾 SIDE 👈🏾
      (THE BOOK OF THE LAW)
And we no longer have to keep those laws contained in the book of the law.
The ark of the covenant still contained Gods 10 Commandments law written on stone that was given to Moses and still stands today as heaven and earth’s constitution from God.
SCRIPTURE SAYS I AM THE LORD, I CHANGED NOT!
      The 10 Commandments remain an obligation to (professed Christians ) who follow Jesus Christ...(and the Bible says so in scripture ;
( therefore there 👉🏿REMAINS 👈🏿a Sabbath rest TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD)
      HEBREWS 4-4-9
SCRIPTURE says: ( In the new testament by the way) those who say they know ME and don’t keep my Commandments are a LIAR and the TRUTH is NOT in them....
      THATS BIBLE!
Lastly the word fulfilled NEVER meant
( do OR done away with)
