    In this video, I demonstrate five simple and effective stretches that can help relax sore and tight shoulder muscles while providing pain relief. I start off by showing how to target aching shoulder muscles with stretches such as the posterior capsular stretch, biceps stretch, and inferior (triceps) stretch. These will help get those shoulders feeling loose and limber again.
    Then I move on to some fantastic stretches that focus on the chest area, such as the chest (pec) stretch and rhomboid stretch, because those muscles also attach to the scapula (or shoulder blade) and can cause shoulder pain.
    When done regularly, these 5 stretches can help to relieve tension and soreness in the front and back of the shoulders, while also increasing range of motion.

    My old mattress had my shoulders super sore. Just got a great new one (purple premier hybrid 4). It’ll take some time but your timing with these stretches is appreciated! Do you have a video on using a percussion massager to help the shoulder area?

    Thanks for this video, have had a sore shoulder for a couple months now, mainly hurts when doing push ups, looking for some relief. These stretches have seemed to really help! How often can I do this stretch routine for optimal results?

    I literally cannot get my arms/hands behind my back like you can for the chest stretch😭😭 I’m so inflexible hahaha if I keep stretching and practicing will I be able to clasp my hands eventually??

    Hello DoctorJo... over the years always find your videos to be the most useful and have become a subscriber! A quick question... primarily get pain/soreness in right shoulder/triceps area while I'm walking for more than 10-15 mins. at a time. Which exercises/stretches do you think might be most useful for this? Thanks much - Tod

      Thanks! Have you had a specific injury recently or in the past? Is it only sore when you walk? How about sleeping, lifting, arms above head, etc.?

      @@AskDoctorJo Thanks for the quick response... started about 2 months ago, no specific injury that I noticed. Consistently noticeable while walking, progressively worse the longer that I continue. Main other time it bothers me is when I'm using the right arm in front of me for repetitive task, such as keyboarding. Pain/soreness also equally felt in deltoid area I think. Lately also noting some sporadic light muscle twitching in the same areas.
      Really appreciate your thoughts...you are so kind!

      You're welcome. It might be a shoulder impingement, which is really a general term for many things going on in the shoulder, but basically it's when some of the vessels are getting impinged or compressed in the shoulder area.     Got pain in left shoulder, & my hands shiver while i lift a cup for example. Why is it. The pain is awful. Please suggest some easy exercise therapy

    For biceps, doesn't pronation give a better stretch than supinated arm?

      Not really when you are rotating your whole arm or at the shoulder. If you are rotating just at the elbow, then yes.

    Hi doctor I have a problem with my back my disc is herniated and get sciatica pain in my leg the problem is I put pressure on my other leg too much and I have noticed that top of my foot gets bruised when I go for walk I get lots of pain in my foot can you please show some exercises for foot pain thanks 🙏
