SYND 9 11 78 CHINESE VICE PREMIER XIAOPING AT THAI MILITARY DISPLAY

(8 Nov 1978) Chinese Vice-Premier Deng Xiaoping watches a military dispaly in Thailand. He watched a display of fire-power used by Thai military against pro-Chinese Communist insurgents in Thailand. But Thai officials hastened to say that the subject of Communist guerrillas in Thailand was not discussed with the Chinese vice-premier. During his visit to Thailand, Xiaoping had talks with Thai officials on the deteriorating situation in and around Indochina.
