13:45 omg I had no idea about this. I was trying to set up rudder peddles and thought it was odd that I had to keep them depressed the whole time. Thanks!
Your tutorial really helped a lot. I was having issues with my Thrustmaster TWCS throttle and I was able to correct it after looking at your settings. Thank You
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP I can't thank you enough for fixing my F/A-18C Hornet. I could tell something was off but I never pegged it as the curves. Once I switched It became instantly apparent my curves were largely preventing me from fine control in all regimes you talked about. With some seat time I'm quite sure I'll get the AAR on point, no doubt about it. Obviously I've reviewed all my other modules especially the Falcon, and Tomcat. Awesome mate, thanks. One question if I may, I also followed your custom throttle setting for the Hornet -- in your video you only showed for one motor, but I went ahead and done it for both. I'm getting some thrust unevenness in the mid-range, more than I would think would be in real life, just want to make sure this the correct procedure. Again, thanks for the curve work.
Great stuff as always! Thanks. I filed my burner stops on my warthog and put in the user curves like you described, but my burners never ignite. Would you or anyone have an idea why that might be happening?
Hi Gary, Let me google that...but do this, in your DCS Settings Tab in the main menu, check under the SPECIAL tab that your Afterburner Detent is set to "Always off" and let us know if that works. You can find me at Tactical Pascale's Discord Server here: discord.gg/Yvfmuwa
Awesome videos that helped me a lot! Could you do something about; longitude and latitude? Sometimes i get coordinates in seconds instead of minutes.. so DED input keeps flashing.. thanks!
E. Silvester Hi there. The F-16C Viper is one of my favorite aircraft in the real world and DCS. It’s still early in development and subject to much changes so I’m trying not to focus on it at this time. However, Wags has two INS Alignment videos that you should watch. For detailed alignment information, it takes 6-8 minutes to get a proper alignment unless you start your mission with Hot Start aircraft.
DCS Air Warfare Group i know how it works, its just when setting up new target points within the existing flight plan i get confused due to not having the right longitude and latitude. Sometimes they are given in seconds, instead of minutes and don’t know how to translate this. I’ll keep eye on your channel, love it and the F-16c is my preferred one! Thanks!
DCS Air Warfare Group still having problems with AAR. Setup the axis on the joystick taht helped a lot! But wondering if you made any changes on axis with trottle (warthog). Can’t keep it steady, either little to fast or to slow.. 😂
I might add my two cents, but if you go into your options> Misc and look at the top right you will see coordinate display and you can set how you get your coordinates. You can adjust how you want your coordinates shown, I believe there is keyboard commands to change them in the F10 view also, I just cant remember at the top of my head.
9:35 man i have the same controller as you but i had to put the F-16 with the correct sensitive of a real F16m that you know is pretty high (pressure feel) and i have mine -28 yeah you heard correctly minus 28 and im in heaven,(i did it because i saw a video of a real f16 pilot speaking about it and by what he says he reallyyy sensitive) at the beginning was very awkward and hard but now is even easier to refuel since your movements are literally millimetric , i have 1 in the deadzone..just in case, i dont believe or like deadzones higher than 2..i really need to have that center feel to fly these jets, yes the rudder i use a dead zone on my pedals of 5 and the curvature is positive to is smoother, i normally calibrate my Warthog with frequently , its been the best experience i ever had, even flying around or killing enemies, after you get use to, is way better because i feel i don't need to move much my right hand to achieve what i want, refueling was challenging in the beginning but after became easier somehow the f18- f15E - F15C is flat at 0 i just have curve of 15(positive) with aircraft's like Mirage, the F14 because Su jets, obviously in real life they need more input, you have to try the negative curve in the F16 and don't be afraid to push it like in real life, i even think real life will be more than 28 or 30(negative) but 28 felt good, and if you look to the flight stick on the right you can see it barely moves with 20-40 degree rolls. cheers man, liked your channel subscribing, Cheers from Portugal-Lisbon
You mentioned that the F15 and SU27 curves would be similar. I imagine those would also apply to MiG29? What does those pitch/roll/rudder/throttle curves look like in comparison to these? I gave up trying to refuel in F15 long ago. I also quit AAR in Harrier due to porpoising. The inability to AAR has really limited the extent of this game for me. Great vid and thanks!
Greetings. Unfortunately I uninstalled the FC3 aircraft ages ago. Try 10 DZ and curves around 20 and then reduce it slightly until you find the sweet spot. What are you using for controllers?
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP Hey thanks for the reply! I will give those a try. I have DZ between 3-5 and curve at 30-35. It's works for T/O and Landing some A/A combat but any attempt at AAR is an exercise in futility. I use FC3 for F15/MiG29/SU27, but I also fly F18/F16 and AV8B. Going through an F15 resurgence as of late. I have an X55 HOTAS with CH rudder pedals.
Great point Takarde...thanks for this comment! So, my viper is working great for me with the TM Warthog mapped to the right throttle side (I bind them together for the F-16C Thrust) and I have Deadzone of 8, Saturation X/Y both at 100, and Zero Curvature and everything is fine for me. I do have Slider checked below...hope this helps amigo!
I think that came set up for the thrust master warthog default from ED for the Viper in the settings because I don’t remember setting at eight dead zone but it works for me on the warthog Hotas.

Awesome...that's why we're here...to help grow the community and assist members where we can.
Couldn't help but notice that this AAR attempt did not result in a tanker going down in flames...is that normal?
That got a good laugh, in my case no it’s not. ~Tyro
Nice!
very cool refueling...
..nice video. i will check, when i´ve bought the viper. now, i have to learn my hornet first^^
Good Job. thanks for sharing
Thank you too, share your DCS experiences in the comments anytime! :^)
Hey Juice, just bot a new Ir and wish I hadn't but I'll be sitting it up tonight!! I would buy a Rift S but none available!!!
These curves and such are exactly what the doctor ordered.
I just hope it helps people enjoy DCS!

Disregard the throttle bit. I have it sorted out. Thanks again.

Hey Marco...is that F-16 TM stick addition have the force feedback pressure sensitive feel? If yes, that is very cool.

Juice Im using Trackir; but really wondering about the facenoir thing. I would really appreciate if you can show something about it.
Thanks
So no user curves on the throttle of the F-16 as you did for the Hornet ? It stay linear? Thx :)

how is your facetracknoir so stable, mine jumps and jerks all over, so much that I can't use it

I always wonder how realistic is this sim vs real life
Nothing compares to reality in the DCS World but as far as switches, gauges, and instruments, nothing compares to it. Just need the Gs and smells.
