Great tutorial. This is my first DLC for DCS and just started to learn basics. This tutorial is very helpful. Long time ago I was playing F-19, Gunship and other simulators from MicroProse. Old love.
Why would you abuse yourself with this module as your first.. its early access, extremely complicated and on top of that full of bugs and issues, just go with something thats finished at least.
I had assumed my RDR cursor axis was bugged but it turned out I wasn't selecting CCRP which will lock all movement on TGPs. Not saying this is your issue but your tgp will not slew unless your a2g profile is CCRP and not CCIP, ect..
Hey Cap. Is there an updated video with some of the newer functions that explains the things that weren’t out at the time you made this video? If not, any chance you could make one? You’re the only one I’ve found found that explains these things in depth that doesn’t absolutely confuse me to all hell. You rock!
Great video as always guys, but I don't think you've got the aspect description correct. Pretty sure the aspect is the angle from a line through the bandit fuselage to you starting with 0 at the rear. So, for example, at 27:29 the aspect is 14L as we are 140 degrees left from the line going through the bandit fuselage.
Why is the targeted plane's relative position/heading to us in degrees counterclockwise as stated? 14L makes me think it should really be 22L. Degrees run clockwise, right?
Just thought you might find this amusing. A group of Flat Earthers think this video proves the Earth is Flat. One is claiming to be a real ex F-16 pilot and stated the HUD Horizon line is always on the Earth Horizon regardless of Altitude. Clearly this is not true. I fly a Global Express Corporate Jet with a HUD and the Horizon Line in the HUD is well above the Earth Horizon at altitude as we see nicely in your simulator too.
hey guys.. great vids..thanks.. just a quick question.. looking to get in to game and the su25 obvious choice as a taster.. now is it best to use the dcs version or the steam version .. as ive noticed the packs are not compat with each other... the planes are expensive so want to start and continue with the best version...so can steam and none steam use the same servers(sorry for noobness) thanks in advance
John Moore yes sr we Play no The dame servers, justo checo your versión and choco se open beta, Evelyn once si there not no The default versión, The reís a command tomado that, no steam just check open beta no propertis then versión
I highly recommend the downloading the version from the site mostly because they have more sales through out the year on more modules. Even 3rd party developers will have their own sales like Heatblur that are only compatible with the site version.
Apologies in advance for hijacking, but I'd like to start purchasing modules for this game after abusing the SU25 for a long time. Should I stick with the Steam version or go for the Standalone? Cheers
I use steam version and as near as I can tell there is no difference. And if you like the SU-25T I would suggest the Flaming cliffs 3 module to start off with, it gives you the A-10A, F-15C, SU-27, J-11A, SU-33, 3 versions of the Mig-29, and a 2nd version of the SU-25
oh, above sea level...so how does the radar determine or know a distant targets altitude above sea level? The reason I am asking is that the flat earther Wolfie mentioned is also claiming that if you do not know a targets altitude you will not be able to target it....Thanks!
Wtf is "ASL, theoretical"?... ...oh! You mean the top number is the altitude of the top of the cake slice at the bracket position, and the bottom number is altitude of the bottom of the cake slice at the bracket position, and it just so happens that the number is negative in this particular example? Dude, why didn't you just say that?
Feel like I wasted my 80 dollars on this aircraft. I feel like I need to go to flight school for a few years to get this down. Might as well be speaking an alien language to me. I have to keep a stupid dictionary close for all the impossible to remember acronyms. I've watched this three times and it is still information overload.
It gets easier 😂 repetition is key, watch this as many times as you need to, or other videos where it might be explained in a way you understand better. Break it down. Keep trying and it will start to click. I'm just about getting the grasp. I just have to practice what I've learned. Best of luck

Correct and this is a bug in DCS. If you are on the right side of him you should get 0 - 18 R but in DCS it's 18-36.

Noob question : what are the difference in TWS (like in F-15) and RWS? can we multiple fox 3 in RWS?
RWS - one missile only. TWS - multi missiles. That the most basic different.
Grim Reapers and F-16 will have TWS when they get around to adding it
