You guys suggested I make a list of my essential tattoos for collectors to have, and I thought it would be best if I bounced those ideas off of another person, and surprisingly we had a lot of tattoos in common on our list! So i guess there's a trend there, but either way, here's our list of tattoos we either always wanted, or had to get as apart of our essential tattoo list.

When I was 15 (I’m 40 now) I somehow talked my mom into letting me get a tattoo. When the artist asked me what I wanted, I had no idea, so I just spit out “BUTTERFLY?”
His response? “Of course you do.”

danng, that's a good one. Honestly there's even tattoos in my style that I was, but just don't even have room for anymore these days. The longing is real.

Omg yes! I love coolcoolpikka, but also chris_tattooer....yet the tattoos I actually *have* are black and grey. I wish there was a way to mix such different styles without looking bleh.

Snakes, barbed wire, coffin, butterfly (moth), chains, any Friday the 13th tat.
I had thought that Pinups were one of the essential tattoos, but neither Qcknd nor Vilonious talked about them, and only two other people have mentioned pinups in comments, so...
Anchor tattoos and clock tattoos... Maybe some Roman numerals in there... Definitely not essential for my taste but I see them everywhere. 😊

I'm originally from Southern California, and sun and moon tattoos have always been at the top of my list. It is not at all a hippie thing.

I think some more tattoos are ships, hot air balloons, some sort of nurse or woman/pin up, coffins, Sailor Jerry.. Theres probably tons more but those are some that came to my mind

I'm a tattoo collector too i would say, but more like an different tattoo styles collector.. I try to get as much different tattoos from different awesome artists as possible. I love Artists with their very own, unique tattoo style

Nice video! I agree and have most the tattoos on that list! As more of a traditional style “tattoo collector” I’d add dagger/swords or any old school weapon to the list. And I’m not saying that just because I have 5 daggers alone... also love face tattoos, and I mean tattoos of faces, not on the face. Like your personality btw. Subbed.

Out of what you both mentioned in the list, i have nautical stars, roses, and 2 devils. I think dagger should’ve been included lol daggers are such an essential piece. I have two daggers also lol

I have 4 roses, a human skull, a stag skull, a heart with a banner and script on my ribs. I only have 3 others that weren't on the lists Haha
snakes! just like a panther, I would say animal related tattoos. Some like the birds, some like octopus.. is a must!

I love seeing this! I'm not a collector but my tattoos have a space theme my name means "goddess of the moon" I got married at the observatory with my husband and my mom and my song was "You are my Sunshine" so lots of sun moon and stars!

I feel like everyone has a list, and its fascinating to hear others lists. I always wanted a snake tattoo on my leg. Idk what kind of snake, like a python or cobra or viper, not sure yet lol. I'm getting a pet snake soon, so I might wait and see what I get and then get that type of snake tattooed on me.

Out of the ones y’all named, I have roses, skulls, devil, heart, Stars, hands, panther, birds, and script. So I feel pretty accomplished haha. I also only have traditional tattoos so I feel like it really is just common traditional imagery you can’t really avoid

My brother got the nautical stars on the chest circa 2004. But the artist messed up shading and put black next to black so he just filled them in completely black. My brother still rocked it though. He died in Oct. '16. I miss him all the time. It was cool to watch this and be reminded of those tattoos.

Oh mannn I relate to the people reading script thing. I work in a job where I'm around hundreds of people every day. I probably get asked what my arms say about 5-10x a DAY. At this point I have a short preset answer, but I admit there's days I just dont wanna engage lol

I really want a cat skull tattoo with like flowers that aren't roses. I also want a ball python tattoo because snakes...especially ball pythons are such amazing animals! So for me those two are essential lol. I hope to see more videos of you two together it was really fun to watch you guys just have a convo together!
I have like 9 roses on my body right now and I'm probably gonna get more cause I have ideas for designs that have a few roses in them. I have a bird skull, so that's kinda combining two of the ones you said, and I want to get either a traditional or neotrad skull, but with blue roses and a broken jaw.
I don't have a diamond yet, but I have a crystal, and that's definitely on my list of essential tattoos to have. Two tombstones and a coffin, those are also on my list. I also have two spiders (one is on a lady face, which I think looks cool as hell, and also two things that are on my list :P)
I'm planning to get large red peonies on my arm at some point. It's such a beautiful tattoo to have, and it'll be very meaningful to me.
Also snakes! I have a huge traditional cobra on my calf and it looks badass.
I got one that was on my list for the longest time two days ago, and that is a Still Not Asking For it tattoo
I'd expand "panther" to include all big cats, because lion, tiger, leopard, etc, are all so iconic! 🐯 P.S. Loving these collabs!

I live in the bay area and nautical (norcal) stars would make most lists.. that being said im sure a six pointed star would be on everyones list in chicago..
I love how much cultural variation there is between different cities and coasts in this country, and its depiction through tattoos.
Big, more "generic" (if you will) ones that I think you both missed, are anchors and pinups... but whos keeping track. Fun video :)
Also - tribals and "mom" tattoos (but those could probably fit into "hearts" 9 times out of 10 also lol)
I think another one I think a lot of 2010-2012 tattooed people have are dream catchers. I have a dream catcher on my thigh and I’ve seen other people around my age with one in the same place. So crazy! Also I have the “tumblr birds” tattoo on my wrist and I have a sparrow on my back, just the outline
I think in place of saying whether you want a "panther" or "bird", you could've just gone with "animal". I would say a movie fandom tattoo is a good one to get.
