    When you account for the size difference in tires its about 3.8% larger, so you got closer to 22.5 mpg

      @@TheFamilyCruiser250okay so you had 233.7/10.871= 21.49
      Your current tire size 285/70/17 compared to 245/70/18 is 3.8% larger in diameter & circumference, meaning you have to add that back into your total mileage on the tank, so now its 242/10.871= 22.3 or so mpg.
      The odometer/speedo is calibrated for oem stock tire size, so your readings will be off. Thats why some people were asking about measuring miles driven by GPS

      @RichieRichsf 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@upperleftnorthwest4278 You're spot-on. Just for some additional context for anyone not familiar with this topic...The manufacturer tunes the odometer/speedometer to the diameter of the tires the vehicle comes with. This doesn't adjust itself if you put bigger diameter tires on, therefore the vehicle will actually travel farther than the odometer indicates because each rotation of the wheel/tire that is being measured to calculate distance is larger. Someone else can probably explain it even more clearly.

    Based on my calculations you must have added approximately 25+ lbs for each wheel/tire combo. That's a good amount of weight. Also if you didn't adjust the tire size in the computer your speedometer is reading approximately 6mph slower than you are actually going and your odometer will show less miles traveled. I’m bummed the hybrid allows for only 1100 lbs of total payload. That’s nothing. Additionally, you can’t put more than 132lbs on top of the cover in the trunk that’s on the hybrid battery. How do you even build out the vehicle or sleep in it if the cover for the battery can only sustain 132 lbs on top? I was really hoping this had more overall capability, but it has way less than the 200 series. How disappointing.

    • @larryroberts1635
      @larryroberts1635 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I confirmed with the dealer, the 132lbs limit is on the cargo compartment lid. The battery is enclosed in a metal cage. There are pictures I've seen that show the cage and a good amount of airspace between the top of the batter and the cage. The build showed a complete drawer system and full length sleeping area. I will try to locate. If I can I will add a link to it.

    • @D_F_L_
      @D_F_L_ 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@larryroberts1635 then what would be the point of the lid on? Would you then just remove the lid and have a few hundred pounds air directly on top of the metal cage? I just don’t see the point of why having one if you’ll have to remove it to put anything heavier on it? Was it just to try and even out the load floor that isn’t even leveled?
      What’s the max capacity on the metal cage? And is it true you have to keep those back vents open for the hybrid at all times

    • @larryroberts1635
      @larryroberts1635 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@D_F_L_ No. If you watch a few video that show you the cargo area you will see there is a small storage compartment that is at the very end of the cargo area between the back of the battery and the bumper. I don't know the dimensions but i would estimate it at 6 inches wide, 6 inches deep and the width of the car. The lid to that small compartment is where the weight limit is. Not the main cargo area. There isn't a lid that covers the battery. The guy just removed all the paneling to show the battery is well protected and can support more than 120lbs.
