    Nooooo, back wheels out of center, not simetrical

    I thought the point was to pave the full width of the highway in one pass, with the MK2 you still have to do 2 passes. Make it T H I C C !

    god dang it kana... there's 4 attributes on the suspension's
    Strength (the "springs" ability to lift heavy stuff),
    Height Offset (where's the suspension trying to sit),
    Speed limit (how fast can it go at maximum),
    And the one that needs adjusting so you don't do wheelies.. Power (it's basically how much torque your wheels have).
    yes lowering power on the wheels will give you less acceleration but you want that so you don't drive off what you are paving anyways...
    sorry not ment to be a rant but you adjusted just about all but what you needed to adjust to actually stop it from doing what you where complaining about...

    And I always thought that my idea to build a city on Mars was crazy. Now I'm glad to know that there are other players with similar projects. :-)

    If you had built your conveyor network under the streets, you could have had connectors at street level.
    On the one hand, they would have looked like manhole covers, which would be cool.
    On the other hand, you could have built a rover with a couple of Build & Repair units, driven it around the city, connected it to the conveyors and had it build the city around it, rather than having to place more and more Build & Repair units.
    You could even have made it look like some kind of truck or utility vehicle if you wanted to :-)

    I've always found that if your have tipping problems, then make the base longer and add more wheels.
    4 in back and 2 in front generally work really well

    Regarding the museum heavy armor: You can open the blueprint with any text editor and use text find and replace to change heavy armor to light.

    Kanjashi you really need to learn to lay off the junctions otherwise your world is going to start lagging horridly. I know it is sometimes easier just to slap one down instead of a 3 way but.. THe junctions are well known for causing lag the more that are used.
    Also your connection joint should have been more center or to the back if you were trying to replicate bulldozers, they do that so that as the blade rises or they are going down hill the weight is shifted to the back where as yours still is towards the front making it likely to fall forwards. And shifting it backwards would allow you to move the "head" all the way back with the welders facing up giving ground clearance and less.... tilting.

    • @Kanajashi
      @Kanajashi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will have to try doing that with the connection joint at the back. There is always improvements to be made for a Mark 3 paver in the future! As for junctions thankfully the world isn't lagging at all yet but I will remove junctions when it starts to.

    New paver is muuuuuuch better! lol looks great man. For the wheelie, you can turn down the power setting on the rear wheels.

  • @armouredtitan6412
    @armouredtitan6412 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think you should try driving it under full load of components and maybe consider a 6 wheel design but first you need to align the back wheel one is 1 block forward than the other

  • @0623kaboom
    @0623kaboom 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    on your new miner be sure your rotors are as far back as they can get then the body of the vehicle becomes the counter weight and the lifting portion then can be out front or overhead and not tip the whole thing forward

    • @0623kaboom
      @0623kaboom 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      the other thing you could do is place the welder rig on a rotor (or pair for looks) and make the welder head tilt so you can do roads and roofs ... if you make it attach AT the rotor head then you can make a drill head and a grinder head for all your needs ... then just make a rack for the un-used heads in the garage where it will park ...

  • @joshuaclark385
    @joshuaclark385 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Rear wheels are uneven! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
    ... Otherwise, great design. I'll take inspiration for my own no jetpack challenge, if you don't mind me doing so.

  • @fredmorpheus6890
    @fredmorpheus6890 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can put an artificial mass on a piston, so that when the welders are forward, the mass is at the rear, and vice versa.

  • @madcapmagician3130
    @madcapmagician3130 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I always at least double rear axle for any vehicle carrying a lot of weight. I find it helps massively with stability.

  • @AnoNymous-mw2du
    @AnoNymous-mw2du 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    maybe some counter weight ballasts piston+ small cargo with rocks in it. can set /adjust your center of mass

  • @prometheus8010
    @prometheus8010 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    30:08 if you extended it out by one you could take off the connector and put it on the other side of the welders and have it come down the whole way to be flush

  • @Snafuey

    You should be using build planner when you do your manual part grabbing and welding.

    Remove propulsion from the back wheels so it's front wheel drive. It should fix the tilt issues

  • @williammiller8134

    try a trash truck arms up over and back down to the welders you'll have wheel clearance that way

      Ok saw the rest maybe you need some wheelie bars in the back some 1x1 on a stick?

  • @Nalicow
    @Nalicow 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why not put the rear connector on the welder arm? That way the arm can actually fold into the vehicle, instead of on top of it.

    why u dont use ISY's inventory manager and set up a LCD for auto-crafting - so u dont have to take care, that u dont run out of steeleplates, tubes or what ever ;-) and your builder's will work till no more ingots are in storage

    • @BrianJ1962
      @BrianJ1962 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ... that, or Dummy08's 'Nanobot Build and Repair' script specifically designed to monitor and manage the assembler requirements of the Bob systems "as needed" - but yes, Isy's is a great choice if you wanna have a fully organised, sorted inventory system that'll also make sure the base maintains specific stock levels :-)
      [edit]
      The advantage to using the bespoke script over Isy's, in my experience, is that Isy can, sometimes, leave you in a situation where, for example, it's unable to produce steel plates simply because the iron's already been used to maintain the base stock of large and small tubes. With Dummy08's script, resources remain in their ingot form until actually needed for a required component.
      It's a 'horses for courses' thing, I guess, as there'll be pro's and con's to each system depending on what resources you have at your disposal - and personal preference, of course ;-)

    looking forward to where you go with this. do you know of the edens wrath engineering mod? i've just started playing with it and like where its going. was wondering if you'd check it out and let others know about it. i hope that more exposure will keep the modders working on it you know. it adds another layer of complexity, which i dig. keep up the good projects.

    There is a moded ship welder that has a ridiculous effective range for construction, I don't know the name of the mod. It's a good alternative to the build and repair mod.
