even lazier: just build guide holes/rails on the elevator itself to prevent the jiggle after that it should fix your issue. I mean the updated collision boxes caused the problems, the updated collision boxes can fix it :)

Since armour blocks can now slide next each other perhaps you could add rings around the vertical pillars to prevent the wiggle/ shaking of the elevator. That or it causes clang.
At Midway Station your other spots on the platform could be an Information / Waiting Area, a Shopping area, and a Club. How are you going to move your incoming and outgoing flights on the Platform?

I have plenty of rover base on the 6x6 rover in frostbite scenario ( trailer hauler, different trailer, crane, cargo bed, cargo containers tanks, ambulance and troops transport) they could be all demilitarized for more civilian colors. They would look great in your city!!!
If you wanted to go completely overboard, you could add sensors under the road to detect vehicles and flip the lights early, *but* then only do it at some intersections, because that's way too real haha

A lattice work of triangle inter connecting the 4 outer columns with the center makes the structure more ridged allowing about double speed with out catastrophic shake. Shake doesn't seem to be a function of stretch or compression but of oscillating flex.
thing is... you don't have to make a whole new space elevator... you could just make a new cart that fits with the new block sizes... You could maybe even make one that looks like it's part of the main structure when its at either destination point now

I'm surprised that with the elevator being its own grid, you didn't just make a thruster elevator that turns into a spaceship when it reaches the top, would've been my first idea.

Thatcher Ridings like an emergency escape pod that can be jettisoned next to the main elevator, and since wind doesn’t exist, it would glide down perfectly straight, and could be automatically slowed down when it reaches a pod recovery pad.

Figure out the bare minimum needed for some atmo thrusters to get it flying, then only build up to 80% of that. It won't keep it from falling, but at max output it'll slow it just enough to keep you from blowing up

So if thrusters is not a option, what about adding more wheels? Add 1 set double wheel above existing wheels, and 1 set double wheels under. Set the new wheels strengt to 100% and friction to 0. The tought behind this is to make some kind of guiding shoes.

Commenting a bit late, but how about automated drone traffic in the city driving/flying (for that blade runner intro sequence vibe) on predetermined paths - I believe there's a well known script for that or something.

i have seen your channel before but never watched it, the space elevator caught my attention. if possible make it armed with defenses and put it into battle so it could fend off other people ships, now that would get my attention
You should change your wind farms. There was an update to an old mod I used that added huge 25 MW wind turbines like we already use around the world. The resource cost is quite high but for the amount of power generated is worth it. Looks like SE runs relatively smooth for you with all you got going on. I have a 8/16 core cpu, 64gigs of good fast ram, ssd’s and a rtx 2080 but this game runs like a turd and turns my pc to a potato when I make a mid-large ship or base.
Perhaps try steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1316048908 it says it should work with negative speeds. I havn't tried it myself (for decent).

Perhaps you can fix it by adjusting the offsets for the wheels so they grip the new collision boundaries like they did the old collision boxes.
I'm assuming just tightening the suspension offset won't fix the space elevator?
Or turning the wheels 90 degrees so the offset is in the proper direction.
Tightening the suspension could amplify jiggle, as the suspension would be fighting its counterpart

is the asteroid base 100km from the ground base? if so, you also could have gone with "nickel station", since you're 1/5th of the way there.

@kanajashi for the elevator extend the distance between the wheels vertically on each leg so it has a longer wheel base and will stabilize the wobble.

How about changing the height offset on the wheels on the elevator? A couple of centimeters might be what you need.

Large grids are very slow. Split your large constructs into smaller grids and join them with connectors.
Also, station grids are much faster than ship grids. In case of bases make sure to use station grids wherever possible.
