- Traffic paint removal is never an easy job. In this video I go over some of the methods and products I use to remove road paint from various surfaces on the vehicle.

Well, this was the most helpful video about removing road paint. Other people just talk too much and do very little. You explain and execute at the same time. Great video! Thank you.
I think at some point PA just decided to stop putting out signs and cones for line painting. Seems very common to see lines with tire tracks through them. Unfortunately for me I must have been one of the first to drive over it because there was no indication of wet paint. Left turn got me too. I didn’t know about the reimbursement. I would have gotten mine professionally cleaned like you did there. Very nice thorough job you did.
@@CallowXayne just about every customer that brings their vehicle in for line paint removal says the same thing......there was no warning of fresh paint. Hopefully it doesn't happen to you again, but now you know you can be reimbursed.
Thanks for watching!!
Super awesome job!!!!!!!
Thanks!!
Would goof off work to get the fried paint off the wheel wells?. It is something I have already. This is a royal pain. Would a car wash pressure washer be strong enough once the paint thinner product is applied? What is the gel stuff you used?
@@treeskier802Line paint removal is definitely my least favorite thing to do!! Goof Off can be used to help loosen up the paint then try to rinse. The gel that I used in the video is Technicians Choice Tec 307. It's available online, just do a Google search.
Best would be a pressure washer at home if possible. It takes quiet a while to remove (applying goof off or tec 307 multiple times)
If paint is really thick on the wheel wells, it might be easier to just replace them.
Thank you. Your video was the best one on the topic. I’ve subscribed just to see what other cool stuff you do. Thanks for the help.
I wouldn’t say the paint is really bad on my wheel wells. Wasn’t as bad as the car you have. I’ll give it a try.
@@treeskier802 you can also try a plastic scraper first in the wheels wells to knock off some of the paint.
Apply the Goof Off or the gel to a dry surface and let it sit for a little before scraping. I usually let the gel sit for 5 minutes or so on the wheel wells before pressure washing.
How much does this cost? Curious as to what I may be looking at paying. Great job!
It really depends on the amount of paint that splattered on the vehicle and where it ended up besides on the paint (suspension, frame, wheels, etc) Usually between $400-$700
Bro I live in PA! Guess why I’m watching your video, because they were painting lines and had no signs out! I just submitted a claim!
Man, that sucks!! Everyone that comes in here says the same, no signs posted🤷🏻♂️Hopefully you get things cleaned up soon!!
I’m in PA too. It’s terrible.
@@BenTroxell I have two people stopping by today for estimates. It's never ending 😡
Don't be so fast to blame the driver. I got rood paint recently on my car have no idea were it came from. Retired so don't travel far. Went back to all the places traveled no new painted lines, never saw any cones have no idea how it happened!!!
Me too!!!!
what material are the wheels wells made out of? I have a 2020 silverado
I think it would be considered a felt or low nap carpeting. In some cases l, if the paint is really caked on, it's easier to just replace the wheel well liner.
@@JsAutoDetailing its not caked on, there are light splatters of paint
@@alvindelarosa4976 You shouldn't have any issues using the method I used in the video
I've had it so bad before it was easier to just paint the well liner.
what did you paint with?
@@JohnLe just black spray paint.
How much do you charge for road paint removal service?
Price really depends on the amount of paint on the vehicle. Usually $400-$500+
It's not a fun job by any means!
Looks like she rode the yellow line pretty hard for awhile, little left of center.
Believe it or not, I've had worse. I swear one customer rode the line for a few miles. The paint was crazy thick. Actually had to send him to a body shop to replace the rocker and repaint.
@@JsAutoDetailing wow that’s crazy
Who driving on the yellow line long enough to get that much paint on yo car 🤔🤔🤔lol
I know it's insane!! People do it all of the time here 🙃
It's not marked so you don't know it's wet paint until you see it on your car
Haha maybe people should stop driving in line painters and road markers paint. Serious issue in the industry
You scratched the car, just using a sticker/paint/glue removal for cars and problem is solved.
What is the brand/product name that you use to remove line paint?
