I had a 2007 black bmw sedan that had overspray on just about all of exterior surfaces and some interior surfaces as well... And trio team of good off pro clay bar and little bit of wet sanding fallowed by minor super fine polishing got me paid .... B. ... You have Great techniques and knowledge . Very impressive B... Very impressive....
Good video Brian I’m sure this is a popular subject. My dad’s paint stores used to get allot of questions about overspray when airless sprayers first started coming out. People never thought about overspray until your dark colored car was parked driveway and they got their hands on an airless. We rented airless sprayer so we warned them when they picked up the machines. We sold allot of paint thinner until Goo Gone first came out. Goo gone worked very well if you got it in the first few days. But they’ve changed the formula from the old days. I like the Nano pads for my orbital machines.
Thank you for the video as I recently had to remove spray paint overspray all over an Audi S7. Here I ended up using a clay bar and then polished. I had to use Eulex on the brake lights. I did find afterwards there were a few small areas where the paint was no longer visible but the owner could feel the paint was not smooth. I went back and used Eulex again and then performed a rinseless wash. Denatured alcohol is what I used on finished wood flooring in high end homes where another contractor spilled adhesive or paint. This is the safest method possible for wood. Thank you for the video and I do need to buy Citrol 266 as the cost is more favorable than Eulex.
Brian, you continue to make extraordinary and informative videos! Clearly they are working, as your shop stays full and busy! Hoping you are cataloging all of your teaching videos. Best to ya!
Brian: Between the Nanoskin and the poverty thinner you have a good combo. I did a dozen van conversions in my shop many years ago and we used cutter then polish. It broke the back of my detail shop. Great tips today. Thanks, Mitch
That is really on their 😬Once you figure out what works best it will go easily.Takes a little time but the results are worth it.Another good tip and video Brian 👊🏼💎
Only u would do a video on a topic that never really gets attention. Simply put u want 2 do videos 2 help not trying 2 b a utube influencer YOUR a REAL Detailer and cares about helping other no in it 4 the views and you know ur apex family loves ANYTHING you put out!!
I always try to polish it off first if it seems like it’s stuck on chemical removal is almost always the slow way to go. The worst I’ve done that wasn’t road paint I had to scrap it off using a plastic razor. Blade then polish.
For painted surfaces I use the Levi Gates’ favorite, Lacquer Thinner. If that is not immediately changing then go up in solvents. By the way even in shade but high temps many of the solvents will flash before the overspray can soften!
Does it have to be that specific brand of denatured alcohol cp10? and the citrol spray is that just as good as the 3d liquid? Or is the aerosol better quality?
This goes to show you that there is not a single product out there that can be used 2 do stuff no cookie cutter approach as u would say (surround urself with options and chemicals
I was hoping you would do a review of Menzerna Cut Force one step cut & polish compound and perhaps compare it to 3D One for us. Is that something you would consider bud?
I’ve seen a couple cars lately with the same white overspray. However, when I used lacquer thinner, alcohol, clay bar and Koch chemie eulix, I had no luck. It seemed to be some kind of building or roof coating that wouldn’t break down. Anyone had overspray that wouldn’t come off?
What is your go to overspray removal method?
Overspray and road paint removal I use zylene is safe on plastic and all surfaces!! Of course u cant press real hard
I used butyl acetate to remove overspray on my '95 Civic's paint; for the glass, I used N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) solvent.

Fantastic video Brian and a very good example of a car with overspray

Interesting topic!!!! Great to know about great products 👏👏👏👌👌👌
Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate what our options are for addressing overspray.. Was this from paint or cement mixing?
Very good video Brian!! Lots of Invaluable information!! 👍🏻 🇨🇦

Another gem from the Master!
Hey, that was great! This one goes into my video library. Top notch Brian.
Citrol worked way better than the other 2 in the group you put it with.
Great video great info!!! Thanks Brian!!

Great Video!

Clay bar. But I will be trying the nano skin pad now
Definitely helped me out🤘🏻👌
Great video thanks Brian. Could the same techniques be used for fine concrete dust particles?
🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
A little automotive thinners mixed with tool oil help lift overspray from rubbers and plastics without drying them out.

Nice
What about Goo Gone? I would imagine it would work similar to the Citrol.

Goof Off. Never had an issue.
What about acetone?
I thought that thinner was going 2 dry out plastics?
Has anyone sacrificed a Nanao skin pad & cut it down for a 3 inch backing plate?
Minerial spirits or Acetone
First!!!!
Got your work cut out for you on this one
goof off , angel wax stripped-ease, thinner
Great video!
