You lucky man that looks soooo good I grew up in Hawaii and I have had this in a bento 🍱 my mom is white and my dad is Filipino he does all the good cooking including Japanese food I don’t know if anyone knew this but the Japanese occupied the Philippines back in the day and we learned a lot of Japanese cooking croquet being one of those things Nishime pork and kabocha pumpkin things like that I’m glad I can turn to videos like this to make these recipes
I love all your Mom’s recipes. I’m so hooked on the sweet and sour meatballs. I have made them at least 7 or 8 times, we had them with stirred fried rice, udon, even just mashed potatoes. I’m going to try this recipe too. Thanks 🙏❗️❗️❤️❤️❤️
So many thanks to your Mom for sharing this recipe with everyone. She's so lovely. I enjoyed it very much and will try hard to make this in the future.
Keep cooking with your momma as long as you can! It is a blessing. Watching you makes me remember the times I spent with my momma and hers and my great grand mother. I still have one grandmother left and this is making me want to goncook for her now. We have a similar recipe that we do with canned salmon or jack mackrel.
I have made this a few times now and can I just say... Wow!! It's a hit with everyone and such an easy recipe to follow!! They're even delicious the next day cold! ありがとうございますお母さん
Oh my goodness, I love your Mom!!! She is so sweet. Those croquettes look so delicious. I will surely try them soon. Thank you for the video. Blessings to you guys and your lovely Mom!!!
I remember the first time I tried my first croquet...it was in Asakusa near the temple. I was wondering why their was a long line at one of the stands. I ended up standing in line to see what it was. When I got to the counter I realized it was a croquet stand, so I bought one. It was incredible. Thank you and your mom for this recipe...I will try it.
That was beyond sweet. I learned a lot from my mother and both grandmother when it comes to cooking. And was happy to run into this recipe. Can't wait to try it. Beautiful video.
I know this is an older video, but I have to say I love the ones with your mom in them. She reminds me so much of my grandma. The love y’all share just radiated through me. ♥️ Thank you all for your wholesome wonderful content.
I've been looking for authentic, simple, everyday Japanese cooking and I believe I found it here on your videos. Love the recipe and how easy your Mother makes it. She's so cute and what a treasure to video tape her cooking. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to viewing more videos and recipes from TabiEats!
I love cooking with my mother and grandmother, your's is so sweet and I love when she said " she had to cook, kids can't " LOL I am so going to make this, tyvm, new sub
She is a graceful cook! I love her comment ‘あれは別/that doesn’t count as part of meal’ about a giant cinnamon roll when she was about to have a bite of her homemade croquette.
Wow ---your dog eats cabbage! And those croquettes looked incredible. You mother was so kind to share after you teased her so much... ;) My next choice ---chirashizushi
I love this. I wish I had recorded my Mom cooking like this. These are great memories to share with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Familiar food the way our Moms cooked it is like a time machine to the past and a baton to be passed on to your kids.
Hi, great recipe, made my mouth water. Your mom is great, love when she is on the show! Please tell her that she has a big fan over here in Luxembourg/Europe. Greetings
Hello thank you for your videos your mom reminds me my mother in law! I’m from Mexico married to a Japanese man his parents stayed with us for a while and it was wonderful. We used to make gyioza, croquettes, even ozechi for New Years. 🌺
Back here in 2023 - I started watching your channel when this video came out, you had barely 20K subs, and I was so proud of you both for living your best lives and truth in Japan.
This was a very wonderful video! Thank you, Okaasan, for showing us how to make delicious korokke! I enjoy all of the videos that you make, but these ones with Shinichi's mom are extra-special. She is so kind to show us how to make these recipes, especially when cooking isn't her favorite thing. Arigatou gozaimasu! I wish I could magically come there, and somehow do something kind in return - maybe cook some of my family's recipes for all of you, too. But alas, it isn't possible. As for the next recipe, of course, I wish I could see her cook nishime! But I also like chirashi zushi, so that would be great as well. Last but not least, Justin was so cute, enjoying his cabbage! :-) Thanks again for the video. It brightened my week so much.
I love you guys! My grandmother was from Japan but unfortunately I never got to meet her. I always imagine my father and her just like this. Thanks for the videos ❤
I am loving all of your Mom's recipes!!! This was so ono! My hapa son who doesn't really like Japanese food, LOVED IT!!! Please tell your Mom thank you again for sharing her recipes with us!!! I can't wait to try her Chicken Katsu recipe!!! I would love to see a Ramen recipe video! I visited Japan a few months back and loved the ramen, would love to learn how to make a legit ramen! Thanks again! I think I watched most of your videos this weekend!!!!
+Christy J so happy that your son likes korokke!!! yay! Hopefully he likes the chicken katsu as well. (fingers crossed) We are actually filming a ramen recipe tomorrow! Video will be out in June so stay tuned! And thanks a million for watching our videos! We love you!!!
I just found gluten free tempura batter and gluten free panko crumbs and I'm excited to try this recipe! Your mom's cooking looks delicious! I ended up making your Hawaiian butter mochi several times and I made it for Christmas and my mom, who's also gluten free, loved it (and remembered it because I guess a family friend had a Vietnamese version and she made it for her birthday 😂). Keep up the great work, thanks for sharing your amazing recipes!
I've been watching your channel for sometime now, but I keep coming back to this video.. I just love your mom. Love her comment cause kids can't cook lol Just wonderful.. Hugs to you all
Watching my mom cooking was like watching an angel. She would make the best Cod Fish Cakes croquettes. I never got her recipe. Watching this video, now I know what to do! Arigato, okaasan. You are an angel.
Sinichi (sp?, forgive me) stop giving your Mom such a hard time. We have all fallen victim to the dreaded cinnamon roll. LoL. Mom did GREAT once again. The croquettes looked delish. Nice that Justin made an appearance too. Please thank Mom for me for cooking these for all of us.👏🌸
+Cat Sieja haha! That was Satoshi's fault!!!! By the way, do you remember you asked me about this side dish that you saw in the supermarket video? My mother made that dish so that's coming soon! We also gave out a shoutout to you at the end of that video so stay tuned!
I just found your channel and I LOVE YOUR MOM and her recipes!! it's great to see how much you love her and appreciate her cooking, I am the same, I cherish my Mom's cooking :) I bet she's so proud of you...GO MOM!!!!

Just attempted this recipe on my own :) Didn't turn out exactly as beautiful as the ones shown here did, mostly because I had to do a lot of substitutions, but it still turned out delicious ^^
rona rona home cooking channel I love croquettes, too! My mom made many different kinds of Croquettes. I agree! Even my picky-eater mum likes this recipe :""D
Though I did a bit of adjustment by adding a bit of garlic because she liked it that way
@@arayo4116 I too added a bit of garlic. I actually added some garlic and chives to it the 2nd time and they complimented it nicely.

Mama is so adorable. Wishing you all the best for continued health and happiness. I plan to make this recipe. Thank you!
I love korokke! I will try it out with cabbage on the side next time. What kind of sauce did you put on it?
Cabbage is the best accompaniment to korokke. We used tonkatsu sauce.
