30g cake flour
30g unsalted butter
300ml milk
35g mozzarella cheese
2g salt

70g shrimp
2 tbsp white wine
1 egg
2 tbsp water

I am Japanese. In Japan, when I make cream croquettes, I often use canned crab instead of shrimp. You should try that one too!

These look so good. I love meat and potato croquettes. This looks good too.
I'd love to try a variation on this and divide the creamy section into smaller portions and wrap them in potato croquette filling before coating and frying.

I really prefeer the bechamel based croquetes rather than the potato ones. They are also the most common arround here. At home we make them with onion, chicken breast and cured ham. They are great.

No this is not Japanese origin. Croquette is originally from France. The Dutch brought it to Indonesia during 350 years colonizing Indonesia. It is very popular in Indonesia. Japanese for sure adopted it.

i loved cream croquetts but only made it once. they fell apart rather easily when I did it (still tasted great). adding in the mozzerella and making the egg mixture with some flour is a great idea to help them hold together. thank you so much, I'm going to try it this way!
