Not exactly, as a certain endgame location in "Oops. _Teeth."_ land reveals. The Nomai are only _locally_ extinct, within the Hearthian System. But, uh, they're about 22-ish minutes from being _universally_ extinct.
It's similar to Interstellar when they arrive on Miller's Planet where they get the signal from it years before but upon landing, it's speculated that she died minutes before from the previous receding wave.
I never noticed she was right there. I was always worried that checking my landing cam would mean that for a moment, I wouldn't have been looking at the moon and therefore would be stranded in space.
LMAOOO. The camera angle on that was perfect. I just platted the game and for me, the body only spawns once I exit and come back to the moon. This is gold!
I've always wanted there to be a compass in the ship. I thought it would be more convenient to have one on the dash or something rather than having to exit to check where the poles are. Then I looked at the screen at 0:24 when the landing cam popped up and it turns out I was blind every time I used the landing cam because the ship DOES HAVE A COMPASS! Number one way to invalidate 44 hours right here
My first arrival on QM was outside the ship (I was afraid of losing it and being left in space, lol). I was taken aback when I met the corpse of a nomai in a sitting position, and then *Pomp*, the ship, pulled by QM's gravity, falls on the corpse. I didn’t have time to figure it out when I suddenly saw a spacesuit Nomai in a lying position. And suddenly I panicked: “What? How? Ragdoll is in such a place, I didn’t really have time to look at the composition!” - and went into meditation to rewatch it.

@@VorthodWileryou can actually aim quite well with those, you just need to wait till your goal is exactly overhead, then use the gravity cannon with the left option and once you’re near enough to an astral body to orbit it you can change your steering orb into the right side and it will orient itself with the front away from that astral body and land on it. It‘s a bit more difficult to control your specific landing point on that astral body tho so it‘s most viable for the Quantum Moon where it doesn’t matter where along the surface of the fog you enter
