It's why I kept thinking about the soundtrack months after completing the game! Anyways, thanks again, and have a great day!
Andrew Prahlow said he wanted the soundtrack to have a sort of wholesome campfire tune feel to it, and it really shows in the soundtrack. Your cover is one of my favorite covers of his works because of how seemlessly you can incorperate all the different melodies and instruments so well. It's absolutely amazing. Great job!

Very late to your comment, but I figured I’d leave this here anyways! He may have done it on accident, but Andrew (the composer for outer wilds) made the end credits song with this in mind. The roaring sound near the middle signifies the end of the universe, and if you listen to the original again, all the travelers instruments get replaced with modern string instruments. So they’re the same tune, but different. Just like how the game ends, but life goes on. Its truly beautiful the passion put into the soundtrack and this remake of the medley 👏🏻

It's actually wild how good not just the Traveler's theme is (I could write a fucking book on why Outer Wilds is one of the best games ever made,) but how masterfully you covered it. The Traveler's theme works because everyone's individual instrument adds something to the song it didn't have before. While they all work on their own, combining them makes something new. The way you covered each individual instrument (especially Solanum's. Holy shit,) was so, so good. Absolutely nailed it, my man. Instant sub.

This is beautiful man, could close my eyes, feel the thrust of the ship lift me up into space, listen to the space around me turn quiet as I begin to float out of orbit, drifting towards an unknown world, knowing only the music of lost signals to guide me
The sheer joy on your face as you play says it all, you GET music. The power of a collection of a series of simple sounds can change everything. The soundtrack to Outer Wilds is unique, the music itself is beautiful, and in the context of the game it becomes truly magical. Bravo man, play on, and never lose that simple, pure happiness you display when making music!
kinda made me thinkin, the music here and in game is just like expirience the game gives you, you start off simple, just one thought, to go out there and explore, but as time goes and you learn new things, the story and music starts getting more complex and makes it an extraordinary, one of a time thing you get to have and live through.
And thats what makes Outer Wilds such an amazing experience. Its a gorgeous masterpiece that gets you thinking, and plays with your curiosity to get you to learn more about the world of the game. Truly a masterpiece
even after all this time, I still think the most telling thing is how much fun they're having playing through the whole thing. That's what music is about, in my opinion -- having fun and getting into what you're making, no matter what it is. Brilliant video.
As much as I get invested in games and other media they rarely get a strong emotional response from me, and almost never more than once for those that do. It's been probably 2 years since I finished this game and I still get goosebumps listening to the music, good goosebumps. Excellent cover.
Amazing cover. Thank you very much. Incidentally... I thought you'd like to know (in case you didn't already) that I found this cover because Andrew Prahlow shared it on twitter.
Your focus and passion for this piece is perfectly conveyed by your skillful expression. It is a joyous occasion when I manage to find covers of this quality because every time I do it reaffirms my belief that the greatest musicians in the world are more often than not the ones that play for the joy of the music, sending out their sounds on street corners, dive bars, and all the nooks and crannies of the planet. P.S. Your guitar face near the end is perfection itself
Thankyou for including Solanums part. She was the best character in my opinion. Also, some ghost matter accidentally hit the dislike button 40 times. new edit: back here in 2023, I'm an aspiring game developer (sort of, I'm in college) and I'm using Outer Wilds as a massive inspiration for my own projects. Everything just fit perfectly, but that transition at 2:21 where you can hear the hearthian blowing on the burning marshmallow like he blowed on the instrument to turn them off to let us hear just the solanum's theme... That. Was. Perfect. It's clearly the little details that make this medley perfect. That's some awesome job
One year later and you video has not been forgotten. Wonderful music being wonderfully played. Thank you for making me feel these emotions again. Outer Wilds is truly something special
This game's ending made me sad that it's over but happy it made me feel sad, there are only so many games with that ability, the music being such a big part in my opinion.
In 3:03 to 3:45 my tears drop off, idk why. What an amazing game, an it's music so simple and yet so beatiful. Edit: Oh, BTW amazing medley man. You have a gift for instruments.
I played Outer Wilds when it officially launched in 2019, and again in 2021, in preparation for the DLC, which I also played. This game and the community around it truly is something special. A group of people, driven by curiosity, for this small world, and everything beyond. Creating: be it stories, music, pictures; a vast array of wonder and awe, a veritable celebration of what this game means to so many, in its themes and its story. We explore, ever-onward, because there will always be more to explore here, letting our imaginations bring us to new places even long after this charming little game has told us its story, and then we bring it to others, nudging them in the right direction, encouraging to pursue knowledge and broaden horizons, and in turn, they bring their own experience to this community. I truly cannot say I've been a part of anything like it before, and it is something amazing. Thank you, for making such an awesome song

even after all this time, I still think the most telling thing is how much fun they're having playing through the whole thing.
10/10 would cry again. thank you. ;w;
Just leaving my bimonthly comment to say once again that this is brilliant.
Amazing cover. Thank you very much.
Incidentally... I thought you'd like to know (in case you didn't already) that I found this cover because Andrew Prahlow shared it on twitter.
“It’s different than I’d envisioned. Whatever happens next, I do not think it is to be feared”
P.S. Your guitar face near the end is perfection itself
this guy came, made the best music ever, and left...
wow...
I just love your smile throughout this performance man. You really captured the magic.
Another drunken night listening to this looking for solace in the stars
Thankyou for including Solanums part. She was the best character in my opinion. Also, some ghost matter accidentally hit the dislike button 40 times.
new edit: back here in 2023, I'm an aspiring game developer (sort of, I'm in college) and I'm using Outer Wilds as a massive inspiration for my own projects. I stumbled upon this yesterday, was going to comment and realised I already had an entire two years ago. Amazing how time passes, isn't it? Anyway, among several other things, I was thinking about what to add to this comment... and here we are now. I'm glad to have come across this again. Truly wonderful.
P.S: Still freaking love Solanum and her part of the theme
If you've made anything, please let me know. To experience anything like this game again would make me happy.
@@charliemackovas it'll likely be a long while before I make and release a game, let alone a game with a charm like Outer Wilds.
Regardless, I'll let you know when I manage to do so
@Goldmoon YT As expected. Quality takes time!! And I'll hold you to that. It's been less than 24 hrs since I beat Outer Wilds, and I can't get the damn thing out of my head. It literally changed my life and my outlook on it in a beautiful way.
@Charlie Mac Thank you. Also, I'm glad to hear Outer Wilds has changed you much like how it changed me and so many others.
@@goldmoonytplease let me know too. I’d love to know, or if I can keep up with the projects you’re making anywhere
Outer Wilds is truly something special
this song makes me unreasonably happy
This game's ending made me sad that it's over but happy it made me feel sad, there are only so many games with that ability, the music being such a big part in my opinion.
god that first riff of timber hearth just gets me BAWLING lmao
Solanum's part gets me everytime....dude i wish i had your knowledge with all these instruments...Well done !
I've been returning to this video often over the past several months because I love it so much.
Incredible rendition. Loved every second of it.
This popped up in my recommended on a very emotional night for me, and I opened it thinking it was a meme, but was very glad to discover I was completely wrong.
The emotions that power through the screen are so strong. It's exactly what I needed. Thank you so much.
It hasn't even been that long since I finished this game and I still miss playing it for the first time. Thank you for the great cover!
Dude I love this song so much and I love how you converted it to this and it's so amazing
I love coming back to this video after beating the game and understanding the ending. Good Job!
This is absolutely beautiful thank you for making this. Outer wilds will forever hold a special place in my heart 🙏🏼💫
This cover is out of this world for real
"would fly into the sun again"
you know completely intentionally
like it was the first time.
yeah...
I still don't understand why it Tokyo drifted me into the sun sometimes 😂😭
A conscious observer has covered the eye, I wonder what will happen?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Definitely the best outer wilds medley ive heard :D
Thank u for this
This vid is gonna reach 1 mil views soon, and you deserved it boy. Because of the passion you put in it, enjoy it already friend.
This is so beautifully done, it's unbelievable! Makes me wish I could just reverse the loop irl and play this great game for the first time once again. Great work!!
Good shit. I like how triumphantly nostalgic it feels.
I didn't mean for this to be the first song I listened to this year... but after 2020... this gave me hope.
-What instrument can you play?
-Yes
holy shit everyone please share this it needs more views
this is incredibly good, you are so talented
I'm not crying, you're crying
I wish I could play this game for the first time again. Outer Wilds and Subnautica are two games that I went into completly blind and I'm so glad I did. I need more games like that.
I am way to emotionally invested in this game and anything surrounding it
I listened to this on repeat while doing my speed run of the game. Beautiful
How is this soundtrack ALWAYS goose-bumps!?
So much love for Outer Wilds in this comments section...
"How unfortunate we must be to have been born at the end of the universe"
When the piano kicks in you're unabled to contain any tears
i was listening to this, contemplating how much it sounds like every single person in the universe gathered together to sing one last song at the end of time
right before my final shift at work
i get to my desk to see that all my coworkers signed a heartfelt goodbye card for me
be me:
fucking crying
