- THIS IS EXCITING! Aside from almost dropping my engine on myself, we got a new Twin Disc Clutch installed on the K20z3 and we got it test fitted in the engine bay of the EK!!

i think black too if the pipes are silver it'll make them pop
paint the transmission black so the engine bay has a gradient, all things close to the bottom of the car are black then going up you hit silver and red.
top=red
middle=silver
bottom=black

Also to raise the engine for ground clearance you will need hood spacers or do what I did and cut the webbing from the bottom of the hood where its not clearing

I would definitely say black as well. It ties in better with the black of the engine block and won't take away from other stuff after its been installed

I agree the transmission needs to go black. It does look really good at the moment but like you've said, when you've got other stuff in then it's gonna be too much and you'll run the risk of the really cool stuff not standing out as much against the transmission.
Depending if you have a center feed or side feed intake manifold, or a tucked twin fan radiator, I personally say with the turbo kit keep it silver.

If it’s going to be covered with piping and more stuff it makes sense to paint it black. The silver looks good.
But it won’t pop because it is being blocked by pipes so black it is !
I would paint the trans black personally, try and make a nice intake and turbo the main focus along with the valve cover. Looks beautiful so far Robbie!

With all your painting make sure when it comes time for grounding you have bare metal i.e. starter to block, block to firewall, battery to block, transmission ground strap etc.
If the turbo is going to sit above or close to above the trans, paint the trans black so the turbo pops when installed
The trans looks really good in silver right now but once everything is in I think the black will be a better option

If you haven’t painted it yet, if you paint the trans black it’ll have the same aspects of the pulley side of the block and will blend and look clean af, where as silver pulls from the draw of the turbski and intake n valve cover...
Go black for sure it will make all the turbo piping pop way more

Paint it a dark sort of polished steel. Different from the black but not as shiny as the intercooler piping.
Black, silver looks cool with it in the engine bay as it is. But with everything else in there. It'll prob work how you want it to look overall better. 🤘👌
It looks really good black I just wanna give you a heads up it's a bit harder to tell if there is an oil leak where oil is coming from. But it still looks really good. Keep up the amazing work 👍🏻

Paint the gearbox black, will keep the rest of the turbo system as a highlight in engine bay.
Also that clutch may be a bit chattery when it’s not engaged, the centre plate isn’t sprung so may vibrate between the discs without the clamping force on it.

Paint the trans black will make everything else pop. Even if its something small thats silver or colored it will pop good against the black. And maybe throw a committed crew decal on the firewall?
Gearbox will look alot cleaner black I think, let it sink away, and with it being so close to the floor that black paint being so tough might just save it from stone chips etc and keep it looking fresh 👍🏻

I think if you do black intercooler pipe then paint the transmission black if you do aluminum piping paint it silver
