I used to have pressure in my left ear. Went to see an ENT but he didn't find anything wrong. So I had to troubleshoot myself. After many attempts, I found out what caused it. It was caused by hemp seeds (my body cannot handle them) that I ate once or twice a day. Once I stopped eating it, the pressure was gone. Recently, my Mom had a vertigo and tinnitus in her left ear. She went to see a doctor a few times but they could not find anything wrong and asked her to do motion exercise. I asked her what supplements she's been taking. She takes extra vitamin D on top of her one daily multivitamins. So I told her to stop taking that extra vitamin D and both her vertigo and tinnitus went away the following day. It seems that vitamin D somehow lowered her calcium level in her inner ear fluid? Exercise and stimulating around your ears like Dr. Mandel suggested are good, but it doesn't really solve the root cause. The way to find a root cause is to stop taking all the supplements for a few days and observe. Then start incorporating one by one slowly until you experience that symptom.

Did them all. Then woke up this morning with very faint sound and only did 2 of them and it worked too. I tried your older videos and those did not work for me. This video is king! I coupd hear popping noises in my ear while doing the routine. Could also hear trapped air noises as I blew my mouth when closed.
I now know that tinnitus for me is linked to my seasonal sinus issues and ears. As I was on the plane last week and had no tinnitus for the whole week until my flight back. My ears got severly blocked on the flight and the tinnitus came back when we landed.
    Thanks Doc

So my vertigo turned out to be purely diet related. Much to my surprise but also relief too that I had a way to control it and recover and get my life back. It was pretty bad ! It was a very stressful time in my life too which I know contributed to the whole thing. So now my diet needs to be clean and fresh food mainly. No processed food, out of a packet or a can. Nothing red like tomatoes, strawberries, even blue berries cause they have a purple tinge. No chocolate ! Cheese and coffee is kept to a minimum. No marinated or pickled food - because it is considered 'aged'. The older the food the higher certain enzymes become that I can't tolerate. So lots of fresh fruit and veg, eggs, meat in moderation, salads etc. Obviously keeping anything sweet to an absolute minimum. So like I said keep it clean ! If I ate some chocolate or something red I wouldn't get sick but if I keep on eating it daily it builds up in my system and then I'd get a bout of vertigo. Which can knock me out for a day or two. I was also given lots of various exercises to address my balance which was way off. Thankfully I recovered slowly but have had a few bouts when I get careless. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy ! Hope that helps anyone suffering with same.
PS Fish is ok. Nuts in moderation. No red wine.

I've been suffering from chronic tinnitus in both ears for two years now. Absolutely nothing masks the constant 24/7 cicada sound. I just tried all the suggested exercises, and immediately afterward, it feels like I have something running in my right ear, which is the same ear where I had a serious infection and inflammation 2 years ago..(treated with ear drops and antibiotics).
I'm wondering, will these exercises stop my tinnitus or just reduce the symptoms enough to make it more bearable?
I'll continue to do as suggested in your video. Hopefully I'll get some relief soon.

This is very appreciated. I have tinnitus but as of 5 years ago my left ear just started popping all the time. When I'm eating, breathing, laying down, swallowing, etc. Went to several doctors and the first doctor said I needed a steroid shot, second doctor said I needed a steroid shot, third doctor told me to take a steroid shot, forth doctor wrote a prescription for an antibiotic eat spray and finally 3 months ago I was told that it looks like a "a piece of calcium deposit had broken off and I can either live with it or have surgery". It drives me insane but I said no to surgery, there should be something that can be done other than surgery. Sad most doctors go straight for "take a steroid shot" which I listened the first time even though I knew better.

My blood pressure medication has tinnitus listed as a more common side effect. And I started with tinnitus a few weeks after starting the BP medication. It is worthwhile reading these package inserts, although you need a magnifying glass to actually be able to read it! I will ask my MD for another version of BP meds without this as a side effect. But yes, it is beyond frustrating to have this condition.

Of all the methods I've tried, the one where you either put your finger in your ear and out or place your palms over your ears and then release for 20-30 reps has been the most effective. It only fully alleviates the tinnitus in my right ear for about 10 seconds before it returns, but that's still better than nothing. Thank you, Dr. I didn’t expect this to work, especially after my GP couldn't help. I used to be skeptical and thought you might just be a snake oil salesman or a fake doc, but I'm grateful. Thank you for teaching how minimize tinnitus. I realized it was tension in my temporal mandible muscles.

After my friend told me that he had tinnitus, a few months later, I started experiencing it too. It began as a sound on the right side, sometimes loud and sometimes less so. I guess as we get older, our signaling system starts to age as well. It’s no longer as brand new as it used to be at the age of 18. I wish everyone a healthy life, and I must say, Dr is great. I started following his advice and also shared it with my friend who passed tinnitus on to me. 😂

Thanks Doc! Been suffering from mild to increasing levels of tinnitus for some years - it all makes sense now as well as confirms my suspicions: I've been suffering from lifelong, chronic sinusitis, so, yeah, tnx again! Blessings to you and yours 💖💖💖
