Reminded me of the Japanese short anime video "SHELTER"". It shows a young girl enjoying life while someone like her dad builds a very small space craft and she is launched alone into space just before her planet is destroyed.
It is one of the most emotionally complex short films I have ever seen. Excellent music and story.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that she looked like Samus Aran. If they ever made a Metroid cartoon series, I could kind of see Samus looking like that.
But dang, it must be traumatic to want to go back to your homeworld to visit your family, only to learn that it was destroyed and all the people you love are dead. About the only thing even more traumatic is what Kara learned about herself in My Adventures With Superman, where she was used by Brainiac as a weapon for the genocide of multiple worlds.

Thanks HBO Max for deleting 30+ DC animated movies(many 10/10s), plus now all the new DC animated releases don't show up for a year or at all. HBO actually had a killer service I recommended to everyone, but not now, I can't believe the volume of DC content they got rid of. I guess just like with my video games old and new, physical media is still king.
