It also helps that he knows how to draw VERY sexy ladies 😁 Growing up in the early 2000s, there were so many DC girls who were early crushes of mine, lol, like Catwoman, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman, Raven, and of course Supergirl.

There are a lot of movies with PRETTY crappy practical effects out there (take a look at Gremlins 2 for example) both old and modern, and it has nothing to do with the effects being practical or CGI. The problem with CGI these days is that many VFX teams are underpaid and overexploited to get the effects done in absurdly short deadlines, which is why they end up looking anything but convincing in the final product. While other classic movies like Jurassic Park and Terminator 2 made a blend between CGI and practical effects that have aged better because they were given enough amount of time to get polished.
I prefer classic supergirl a thousand times more than the one from the Arrowverse, my problem with the CW one is that as a character she is not very original since she does exactly the same thing that Clark does in any Superman movie or series.
Imagine if you could fly without any technological assistance. Just imagine the sense of *freedom* that this would bring. That was one of the most genuinely teen!Kara characterisations that I've ever seen. The body language is spot-on! Meanwhile, Clark is learning just what it's like to have an adventurous and defiant little sister! I did love the bit when the Kents help her become Linda Danvers in more than just appearance. The big disadvantage of becoming associated with the Bat Clan, is, of course, all the various Robins who are going to appoint themselves surrogate older brothers.
My favorite Supergirl costume! I very bias with this particular costume because it was not through the 80s-90s movie that got me to like Marvel and DC but through the 90s “The Animated Series” cartoons.
It was likely allowed, because it was brief, and not detailed. Further, the DCAU has a great deal of fan service, as was already commented. You have to remember that while it was still on-screen, the original medium, and time this aired, the tvs were crt (cathode ray tube). Here, and now, the image can be displayed in much higher quality on a significantly smaller screen.
I honestly thought Nicole Tom did a really good as Kara. Her JLU episodes I like better than her Superman Animated Series ones but it did establish her character here

I honestly like both of them, I like the jock, sometimes cocky tomboy supergirl but I absolutely LOVEE the Tim Burton supergirl who’s just as strong but still feminine! It's kind of funny that Kara wore a wig and glasses and Clark identified her immediately, yet he justs wears some glasses and no one figures it out. I'll just chalk it up to some kind of super senses. I'll admit I did like the outfit she wore in this show and most of Justice League, but it is so 90s.
It works for Superman because A.No one expects Superman to have a secret identity. They assume he is Superman 24/7 B.Clark Kent at least in the comics is portrayed as a big meek country boy while Superman is him being Confident and macho C. They do not exactly look the same in outfit usually Clark Kent would wear baggier clothes so they do not see fully him
The DCEU really wasn't invested in Metropolis and the people close to Clark outside of his mom and Lois. That was one of its biggest mistakes in its eventual downfall.
She really does. Guess, I'm not alone. Especially, during the Legacy episodes Supergirl was busy controlling Superman's robots around Metropolis and she really takes hits before her cousin/brother did.
I really did digged the Bruce Timm design of Kara's outfit. By the time of Justice League they did put her in a more classic look. But still prefer this look better.
I have yet to watch or rewatch this after so long. Just finished justice league unlimited though and I have the dc animated series fever... they should make more in marvel also haha

Edit: I just realized there are two DC Super Herero Girls TV series..for anyone wondering I was referring to the other better one with the more cartoony art style and w/the tomboy supergirl I was talking about. (The other version isn’t horrible but it’s definitely not as good as the one with “tomboy supergirl” let alone Tim Burton’s version)

It's kind of funny that Kara wore a wig and glasses and Clark identified her immediately, yet he justs wears some glasses and no one figures it out. I'll just chalk it up to some kind of super senses.
I'll admit I did like the outfit she wore in this show and most of Justice League, but it is so 90s.

It works for Superman because
A.No one expects Superman to have a secret identity. They assume he is Superman 24/7
B.Clark Kent at least in the comics is portrayed as a big meek country boy while Superman is him being Confident and macho
C. They do not exactly look the same in outfit usually Clark Kent would wear baggier clothes so they do not see fully him

The DCEU really wasn't invested in Metropolis and the people close to Clark outside of his mom and Lois. That was one of its biggest mistakes in its eventual downfall.

She really does. Guess, I'm not alone. Especially, during the Legacy episodes Supergirl was busy controlling Superman's robots around Metropolis and she really takes hits before her cousin/brother did.

I really did digged the Bruce Timm design of Kara's outfit. By the time of Justice League they did put her in a more classic look. But still prefer this look better.
I have yet to watch or rewatch this after so long. Just finished justice league unlimited though and I have the dc animated series fever... they should make more in marvel also haha
