Not to mention that the guy showed up in Heaven and basically proceeded to go nuts and he owned the entire Heavenly army, AND he defeated most of their strongest fighters as well on top of that. All by himself. They also tried every way they could think of to execute Sun, and all of the methods they used to execute him failed. Miserably. It literally took Buddha himself to actually do something about the Monkey King and stop his rampage through Heaven, and all he himself could really do about Sun was simply seal him in a mountain at best to punish him, stop his rampage and keep him under control. Sorry all you Hercules fans out there, your boy Herc is admittedly pretty strong, but he is outmatched this time and he just isn't going to end up winning this fight. PERIOD.

pretty sure that immortal doesn't mean that you are undefeatable. I mean being immortal is nice but if your body is broken beyond salvation and you can't die then you are suffering for eternity.

That's the thing about people thinking Immortality is completely nullified of damage because they cannot die, but Wukong in the story is not Invincible to everything and suffers loss, fatigue, and anything in between that's mundane to mortals.
