The beginning where they have an exchange about tie fighters, the trooper wanting to become a pilot, and ending with a very friendly farewell, was the most humanizing piece of star wars I have seen. The interaction highlighted the fact that some people believed in the empire until they were exposed to, or became victims of, its brutality. This whole video was extremely well done.

I could totally see this as an extended series on Disney Plus, with this being the pilot episode. The actress for Pai was incredibly believable, and her initial belief in the good intentions of the imperials present on the planet made for a good contrast to other movies in the star wars saga. I thoroughly enjoyed this start to finish!

I loved her optimistic idealism. That makes for a good development story when it clashes with the reality of the Empire, overcoming disillusionment when the bubble of naivety is popped. Now that sounds like a promising character arc with so much potential! It ended just as I realized I had become invested in her and was saying to myself "This is really good." They didn't get bogged down by Hollywood politics. Kathleen Kennedy would have wanted to insist that the Uncle was replaced with a Aunt. Female Empowerment and all.
Meanwhile Rian would have watched Ocean's 11, Saving Private Ryan, and Godzilla -King of Monsters, in order to get a feel on how to make a Star Wars film. And then of course, KK would insist on more of the cast being females. The pilot and his alien buddy would have to be dumbed down. They're far too competent for Rian+ KK's taste.
And whatever you do please don't have a young white male villain. Not if Rian's going to direct your film. Otherwise he'll just woobify him from being a cruel murderer into being a sad , "misunderstood" puppy dog in need of loving.

Erik Andersson didn’t that all begin because SWT was running the ads first? I could be wrong, but I recall it was something similar to that. It also looks like ads are no longer running on the Vader film. But I know it did for a while. In most cases, SW fan films do not run ads on YT to begin with. Not a lot of reason for concern at this point. It’s just fun seeing people enjoy the film. I know the filmmaking crew put a lot of love and energy into this.

Very well done, my Friends. As a Star Wars fan since 1877, and the collector of the more than 600 Star Wars novels, I thank you for expanding my beloved S.W. Universe. I've had a near-lifelong love-affair to Jedi Grand-Master George Lucas's creation. Your story-line was a first-rate original, superb special effects, and a GREAT cast. No overly showy special effects that do nothing but detract from the story that is being told.

Funny how I cared more about this Storm Trooper dieing since I actually hoped he would help them escape thanks to the friendship he had with the girl. Contrary to Rey which I didn't care two shits for and the only time she got any emotion out of me was when she supposedly died in ROS. But that joy quickly turned to anger when she got resurected. But even that anger went as quick as it came because that just how little I care for Rey that she can't even sustain my anger for her.

in all these years this is by far the best production i have seen so far. Amazing story and plot twist. more emotions than in most official star wars conent. Additionally the Costumes were absolutely authentic, the scenes and sets were chosen very well to make it feel as distanced from earth but still somewhat similar. I mean it gave me the feeling that they're on some planet with a big forest within the star wars universe. Unlike the majority of other star wars fan content, where you constantly feel like you're watching some nerds playing with toys in a forest or garden. This one here is probably produced by a crew of producers and film makers who most likely learn this at a college or recently graduated. They not only chose amazing realistic cuts and scenes but they also had the color grading and all the post edits of the video material done very well. The VFX and CGI team did an outstanding job as well, not sure if its the same people who did the cutting and post edits but they did a really really good job! everything looked amazing, realistic and felt entirely authentic. Only one scene exists where i noticed one VFX mistake. When you see the phase 2 clones get the call from Palpatine commanding them to execute order 66, they fired red blaster shots out of the standard DC-15s... some of you might have noticed there is something off haha. the DC-15S fires blue blasts only. they only got similar guns that fire red shots..

This really does need more attention because it’s actually Star Wars not the SJW crap the sequels are

The people who dislike this are Kathleen Kennedy fans and probably thought they were watching a Star Trek fan film...

WoW! No way this is a fan film. Has to be Disney secretly pitching us ideas. ;)
Great work, I will blast this all over social media in hopes that this story gains a lot more attention.

Very well done, actually refreshing to see the perspective of someone who legitimately likes the empire. Sad she had to then be forced into that situation.
Great short film guys and girls.
One tiny mistake I can't let go sorry. The blaster bolt colour the clones fired from their weapons was the wrong colour should have been blue .
Also they are carrying E11 blasters, which weren't around during the clone wars.

I love the idea of having a Jedi force ghost take over someone(after "getting permission") to protect them.
