How is it that we have here better acting, cinematography, story, dialogue and ACTION than the big billion dollar movies???? The fighting in this actually was loads better than anything we got on the big screen. The scene where the night sister deflects a blaster bolt with her hand…. Soo cool!!
THAT was impressive - THAT is what Start Wars USED to feel like when I was a child and there was emotional investment into the characters - you pulled off in 22 minutes what Disney and Lucas have forgotten - it's the character of the Jedi and the evil of the Sister that made me tear up when he thrust his saber through himself to rid the galaxy of her stench. SO well done...
This is literally so perfect? The acting, the choreography, the story, just everything- It was just overall amazing and everyone did such a good job omg, that lightsaber fight was better than the fights in the sequels like im shocked and I love this so much-
You guys gave me so much inspiration as a college student who is aspiring to make films like this. Great work and kudos to all the cast, directors and producers.

I was totally taken aback with what Rowan did - never saw it coming, and it was amazing. But I’m still a little sad - I’d have loved to watch her career with interest, she had a lot of stories yet. Plus, she’s beautiful.
Fan film that really captures and adds to the tragedy and inhumanity of the Jedi Purge. The siblings truly exhibited what the Jedi represented even when it would be more pragmatic to stay on the run.

Every time I see a Star Wars short film I am delighted and once again it takes away the bad mouth taste that the force awakens left me. That was my last movie in the Star Wars saga. I mourn inside.
I hear you. Rogue One was my last (which I really liked), but I choked after a few minutes into Solo. I did try a couple more, but same - quit after minutes. And then I lost interest in The New Republic…until now.
This one was a positive surprise. The writing was mostly good, and some of the actors top tier. Especially the two mechanics or whatever they were. Excellent and compelling delivery, felt like real human beings.
This is truly one of the best fan films I have ever seen. When the Jedi saved those two and then stuck his lightsaber through himself to make sure she couldn't get to them had me in tears. The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker couldn't even make me do that. 👍👍

Oh damn! I did NOT see Rowan doing that. Wow. I was actually rootin for the Sister until Rowan went Old Republic with honor. Absolutely, completely, totally, 100% amazing, what a fantastic story. You’re making me take a new look at the New Republic. The Sister’s swordplay was just phenomenal and Rowan’ was superb. So magnificently realistic. And the A-Wing was the cherry on top - my favorite Republic star fighter! The TIE Striker was a nice touch, too. I can’t compliment you enough on this film. The story, cinematography, acting, realism…so good. I was totally engrossed, I enjoyed this sooo much. Thank you. Nice work.

The story was great, acting and action sequences were amazing. Smashed it out the park on this effort - up there with and in most cases surpass the Lucasfilm efforts. Great work! If creative excellence was the basis of copyright, then fan film makes like this group would be suing Disney for intellectual property theft :-) Not all fan films are great, but it is where the best Star Wars creativity is found.

Tense, exciting, marvelous and convincing acting, a well written script with a twist, audio and visual brilliance against great backdrop scenery - and no doubt one of the best light-saber fights seen in eons. Agreed! Nate did a very good job with the fight choreography. Having some sword-fighting training myself, I have a pet-peeve with the reverse grip, but the fight scenes were well done. :)

The CGI was pretty good for a fan channel, but you could clearly tell it was CGI. The acting was pretty good (not the best but good for a fan channel), as was the action. The costumes and makeup were superb for a fan channel! I REALLY liked the bounty hunters scar and eye makeup!! The Sith girl deflecting the blaster bolt here: 13:34 was super cool!! I loved the little sequel references, like how she was able to grab and freeze people, like Kylo Ren was. (I am a fan of the sequels so I really enjoyed that) 14:52 WOW! Did not expect that! REALLY liked that! The shot at 16:39... Wish that held longer. That's a VERY pretty shot of them both standing off one another. That ending thoooooughhhh!! Very pretty cinematography. I liked the music too.

You know, there are actors in our Hawaii community that would gladly lend their talents for another fan film, myself included.
