Good to see orbea coming back stronger than ever! Won most of my races in a old Orbea lanza, good to see them better than ever! Still a premium brand, not as expansive as trek and specialized, wish i could afford an Oiz.
As a custom painter I love seeing that super clean state of the art facility but can't imagine just how much that had to cost just for that part of the building!! I'm hoping to build me another shop/paint booth soon but I won't be doing it as much as I did in the past.
Great video! My first full suspension bike was an Orbea Occam, which I still have. Super fast and fun to ride. Glad to see they now allow MyO for the Occam. If they had it last year, I may have bought a new one instead of my YT...which is still a great bike.

One of my best days on a bike was riding an Orbea Rallon in the Basque Country with Basque MTB. My regular ride is an Orange, they have a more restricted range of colours (and most cost £100 extra), but do offer w service where you can send your bike back to the factory for a refresh. I think I’ll go for a lighter Norlando grey next time.

I ordered mine in gloss too, main frame color metallic silver with warm orange for the secondary color black Orbea logo and orange Occam logo. Good to see how it will all be done. Also good to see you putting yours through it's paces. Only downside is mine won't be ready until the end of May!
Orbea actually choose to supply through a dealer network. We love that more companies are allowing customisation now both through traditional bike shops and direct to consumer. 👍
Wouter Hagedoorn there are bunch of zones, for example take a look for trails in “Pagasarri” mountain, go to “Vivero” bike park or you can visit the mountains near Barakaldo. Literally we have trails for everyone in every mountain over here. Have a great time!!

I think Orbea made a very good choice with the custom paint and components. Considering the price of the bike, I really appreciate to have the most choices as possible. However, like many other bike brands, I think they should improve the description of their components. For example, I am interested in a Oiz, and if I check for frame, I find : " Orbea Oiz Carbon OMR 2019 Boost PF Taper UFO2 I-Line" What it OMR ? Boost ? PF ? Taper ? UF02 ? I-Line ? I dont know where to find these details. Also, which type of carbon is used ? weight of the frame ? supplier of the frame ? probably in Asia, which I do not see as a downside, but then we can look for the reputation of the manufacturer. I mean, getting a nice paint is nice, but the most important stays the frame.
What Orbea is doing in terms of configurability is outstanding but this is not what I call a custom paint job. Even if we rule out special graphics because they're selling a product, not a paint job, I should be able to choose any paint code for any individual component, not just out of the 20 they list. To me that's custom painted. I've played hours with MyO and I couldn't for the life of me put together a color combo that I was satisfied with. Shows how nitpicky I can get about details. However, I could still do much better than the color combinations 95% of other manufacturers offer on their bikes with little to no alternative options. I'd actually love it if more manufacturers adopted this practice.

They are cheap compared to some bikes I got mine last year an early 2019 model which a pretty much fully spec sheet for £3,800 but my mate worked at a bike shop
I’ve found Orbea to be consistently DEEPLY discounted on end-of-the-year models when the new ones launch. I got my road bike at about 45% of the original msrp. It was a 2015 model, that I bought in 2016, RIGHT as the 2017’s were just launched.

You'll need to strip it down then paint it with a paint specifically for bikes or cars, and then you'll want to put a fixative on
