Thank you for a review of vanilla Galaxy S24. I'm kinda annoyed with TH-camrs reviewing only the S24 Ultra. A great video bruh, keep it up!
I appreciate that!
You're welcome! I'll continuously support your videos.
What does vanilla mean? 🤣😅
Yes, exactly 👍

You are a gem of a reviewer, just a request for future you, keep your reviews like this always even if you go big in million views on YT and companies try to alter your observations with their marketing.
Haha we went against some company's marketing many times before.
Thanks for supporting!
@@NasiLemakTechYou have a very friendly face ty for that 😊
From an Exynos country I want to thank you because battery was a major concern and those concerns were addressed.
I can't believe this actually helped that many people. You're welcome and have a heat weekend!
I'm gonna return my s24 because battery life is very bad trust me

Perfect review. I hope your channel skyrockets. High quality content here, especially info we don't have anywhere else.
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching!
thank you, You inspired me with your previous video to purchase the device and run the Antutu and other Temp tests on it if you wanna check it out.
Instantly subs, really love your reviews. You're really one of TH-cam's gem, keep up the good work!
Much appreciated!
I really need the review and hands on of this phone especially this color. And you deliver it! You are the man! Thank you Nasi Lemak Tech!
Thanks a bunch! All I can say is that the Amber Yellow color is... mostly just cream white.
Thank you for this review ❤🎉
Man I thought you had more subscribers, that’s how good the quality of your videos are. Thankyou for the great review, been worried about the exynos and this helped clear some of those things.
Thanks a bunch for the support!
Our channel is small so we do appreciate any bit of support 🙏
Bro is pumping out content like a madman. Have a good rest this weekend Kok Kee.
Thanks, you too!
thank you for the review❤
Thanks for watching!
the figures about the battery life are from the standardised test suite that you showed in the battery video, right?
i would love to see a comparison in standby battery drain and how that compares to the 8gen2
i'm upgrading from a s20 fe 5g with the sd865 and i would love to see a better battery life compared to that
Thank you for including the S22 in your comparison! You make really good videos man, keep up the great work.
Thanks for your support too!
BROOO THANK YOU.
Thank You Bro for s24 review!!!!
Good job, man. The base S24 review appreciated :)
Glad it was helpful!
It's good to watch your review, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
The thing we need to see in s24 and s24+ is how they will perform in long term with Exynos and under high temperature countries....and with optimization with different apps...
Correct. Now it’s up to Samsung and see how they continue supporting the chipset
Bro speaking facts coz most asia countries are hot
better efficiency = uses less power = produce less heat = less throttling
You know, all my s24s are made in Vietnam and they are also equipped with Exynos instead of 8 gen 3 and my country is very hot so I think Samsung has also calculated the temperature in hot countries.
@@chien.nguyen. so how are their thermals?
Will love to see head to head comparison of s23 and s24 in all aspects camera, battery, gaming.
Thank you sooooo much man! You're such a miracle haha.. In a trend where everyone testing ultras and 8 gen 3.. You came to helped us with the exynos unit review! Can't wait for further testing... Though I might already have my s24 at the time hopefully lol..
Glad I could help! Didn't know we can make such a big impact 🙏
How's your experience so far? I'm using s22 plus but battery life is not so good and laggy device. I wanna switch to s23 plus second handed. If s24 is good I will consider that cos of the small form factor.

Happy to help!
would be great if you can get your hands on a US S24 with SD8gen3. head to head comparison of the exynos vs snapdragon with the exact same hardware would be super valuable for the community.

Big thumbs up for the regular version review 👍👍👍👍👍
Your s24 tests helped my in purchasing the s24.
Thank you!
That's a bit scary to hear - but do enjoy your purchase! Let me know how it is after using it for aa week or so
Hey, how's the battery life? Is it heating in normal day to day conditions? Please let me know your experience with the smartphone.
Your videos are a delight to me
That’s very nice of you ❤️
Good video, suscrito aunque me cuesta un poco el inglés aún 😅
Thanks for uploading the S24 base model review video. I checked earlier in the day and you did the emulator video. I was looking for a battery review of this model since I need to purchase a new phone. S24U is too expensive. So I was checking S23 base, S23 FE, S23 Ultra (reduced price now same as S24+) and S24 base.
I'm kind of worried about the Exynos chip because they promised 7 years updates. Even if it works this year, we're not sure how it would perform in the future.
Thanks again for your honest, modest and accurate reviews. 🙏🏽
Thanks a bunch and truly appreciate the support 🙏
Awesome review, thanks! Waiting for my s24 right now.
Hey, can you post a side by side between the Exynos s24, 24+ and the Snapdragon 24 ultra photos and videos result? It'll be great, thanks!
what app do you use to see fps and temps while gaming?
Please a comparison between s24 on exynos and snapdragon. Is it worth to buy s24 on snapdragon?
Fantastic no-nonsense review, with just enough scientific tests to back things up. By far and away, the best coverage of the S24 series.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What's the standby power draw per hour just for maintaining network connectivity?
(using power save should disable background apps/data)
Comming from S22. The battery duration and overall performance of my new S24 is really good
Thanks a lot
Very nice phone
I wish you do comparison between s24 exynos 2400 and s24 SD8 gen 3
Thank you for this review! I am still a bit confused between buying S24 over S23. The battery comparison you showed in the video has definitely intrigued me towards buying S24 now. Which seems to be the only dealbreaker for me. I hope I don't make a bad choice. 🤞
Glad I could help!
On US website, I tried to trade in my A71, and Samsung US is willing to give me $200 off. So the final price is $599, on top of that, you get Snapdragon version and double storage upgrade.
On Samsung Malaysia website, for the same A71, they only offer me RM75 ($15). And the base price is RM4,099 ($870). It's clear that Malaysian consumers are getting ripped off by Samsung.
We Exynos countries are subsidising Snapdragon users in US, China and Korea. I refuse to bow down to their extortion.
true
Gonna upgrade from s20. Thanks for the review kind sir
Glad we can help 🙏
Some settings are really helpful with the battery drain
Yeah, that's why we do it in a controlled manner like a lab with the fewest external factors possible.
Great video! But, I have a question... Do you know if this device have throttling? Thanks
Thanks for watching! Yes, it will throttle if we’re playing games on it.
We showed it in our gaming test too
Just bought s24 in onyx black satisfied with battery gets really bright outdoors speakers are a little improved than s23
Exynos 2400 is great for gaming and gpu good too
how hot does it get after gpu-intensive gaming? Something like Asphalt 9 or COD?
Can you tell me about the idle battery drain.
How about heating ?

I want to congratulate you on your excellent work. I discovered your work with the Samsung s24. In your experience, which of the two s24 small vs plus models has the best battery life?
Finally the review
Phone are just getting crazily big! The best one for me is the Galaxy S10e.
Finally a review for the regular S24..
Thank you
but doesn’t Exynos get worse with time ??
Not that I know of. I still have a S21 Ultra with me and it works till now
Bro how many hours of screen on time did you get on your s24? Am curious to know if it will be noticeably less than my S23+ or not. Wanna move since I dont like the S23+ size lol
I don't use SoT as a way to gauge battery life. I think it's quite misleading.
Different use cases will result in different battery consumption - like brightness, the apps we use, is it downloading/streaming content etc.
Those data aren't included in the SoT number.
Based on our data, the S24 will definitely not last as long as the S23+. Slightly less, actually.
But screen on time relative to the older version mattersz assuming your usage stays the same betwen to two, allowing for some errors right? Exynos has had a reputation for being horrible and empty promises of fixes before so its hard to trust it again
awesome stuff!
Is it possible for you to compare the battery life of SD8G3 and exynos 2400 with the exact same device (the regular s24) ?
I couldn’t find this on the internet yet
Thanks a bunch - and I too am hoping to get a SD8G3 version of this phone to compare. That'll be great.
Will the camera get better
Fully agree with you. The image doesn’t look good as good as my s22. Let’s wait for the software update. Battery life is on par as s22. Few things it had been improved but not mention by you. Speaker quality and brighter screen.
Thanks for your reviews. Gave me some hope when i ordered mine.
I must say i like my S24 exynos 2400. Battery life is good. No weird heating (i don't play games). Good phone 👍🏼
46º while gaming, geez. I'm geting uncomfortable a 40-41 degrees on my s21u. Phones do really need better heat disipation.
I'm more interested in the s24+, but the deals here in brazil are not as favorable right now, so I'm gonna wait a few months to see if the prices will drop significantly, otherwise it's being sold close to the price of the s23u and at the same price I think the s23u is a better phone overall. Thanks for your review and samsung did a great job with exynos this year, qualcomm is gonna need to improve their next chip or they're are risking being passed by sam.
Thanks for watching!
Competition is always good for consumers - and I am glad Samsung is catching up
What is the screen on time and can please compare speaker quality with iphone 15 and s23?
5h so far
Thanks for the video. Can you please talk more about the S24 US variant with "Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy"
I was planning to but a new phone but skeptical about the Exynos 2400 as no in hand use reviews available. Rather S23 looks much value for money compared to it. Since I was spending that much, I liked the look & feel of S24 base version but only the Exynos is pulling me down. Please review the SD version so I can arrange some medium to get it from US if possible & also share if it would have any network issues or not.
He already compared the S24+ Exynos with S24 Ultra Snapdragon.. and the difference in battery life is just within single digit percentage point.
The difference is not worth it if you have to import from another country.
@@rrsharizam Thanks for your reply. I too think such a slight difference shouldn't cause any issues.
But I was more interested in getting to know the exact comparison between S24 base variant with Exynos & SD Gen 3 (US) as this would compare same device but with different processor. I too agree with the import part as it'd be a lot of tradeoff with Service support, Network etc. Not worth unless SD performs way better that Exy2400, Let's wait & see
Sorry for a random comment
Does the xiaomi pad 6 support 90fps in call of duty mobile after many software updates?
I don’t know. Don’t have the tablet anymore since I had to return it
You're gonna be mainstream very soon mate, cheers !
Question what many have is the power consumption and overheating, mainly in hot environment.
thanks for your work, I wouldn't go for exynos
now. wait for HK or Taiwan version from eBay
Wish the youtubers from Europe or especially my home country (Poland) did similar job to yours. It seems they all keep their mouths shut for some reason about Samsung's new S series performance tests/battery usage/comparison to the previous year models. Good to have your channel!
Thanks for watching and I appreciate your support 🙏
How good is antenna reception on S24, and I wonder how does it perform on LTE/5G battery and heating wise? Those are main issues with exynos, not gaming performance.
Antenna reception is good just like s23
Got almost 700 mbps 5g speed
Wifi speeds are consistent as well
However during gaming while holding the phone from sides if u are far enough from wifi u can spot one drop in wifi icon
Speakers?
This will get even better with the new firmware that's about to drop I bet
I would like to know how well did the exynos handel normal phone use, like opening apps, using the camera, etc. Is it a smooth experience? Gaming fps is nice but doesn't tell the full story.
Day-to-day usage is fine for me. No difference from the Snapdragon on the Ultra
You got me at High definition CCTV camera 🤣🤣🤣🤣
But the question now is if the exynos 2400 will perform the same in time, in 1 or 2 years from now, and how the snapdragons gen 2 and 3 are performing in terms of power and temperature, because I want to buy a s23+ or s24, now i thinking s23+ because of snap8 gen2 will keep its performamce and temlerature better in a long time
Hey 👋 would you please check if bootloader unlocking is allowed
Obrigado desde ja pelo vídeo. Gostaria de saber se o s24 dura tanto como o s24 plus em relação a bateria. Sei que existe diferença em mHa mas num primeiro video teu em testes a bateria do s24 em numeros era melhor
i wonder how much better the small s24 with snapdragon is, if it is any better. that would be an amazing comparison.
would be interesting about S23 vs S24 benchmark results like Temp.
i really like the small form factor and that's why i bought the s23 base model last year. the second thing, i want a Snapdragon inside. coming from the s21 fe with 888 and s20 fe with 865 i was very happy to be able to buy a Galaxy S class device made of metal and glass. but i definitely don't pay nearly 1000€ for a Exynos device this year. the Ultra is way to large and uncomfortable to hold. i mby go with the Asus ROG Phone 8. it's big too but has rounded edges and a snap 8 gen 3 inside for around 1080€. let's see how the 2400 compares in terms of Ai stuff. the pictures are very terrible so far. so it only can get better. the missing driver support for some games bec of the Exynos is also a major nogo. you don't have such thing with an Snapdragon device!! Samsung is after s21 and s22 again a big letdown for me and many others.
Watching from Philippines thanks for S24 base model review almost all is just reviewing the ultra model which is gigantic for me dont want to carry such a gargantuan phone 😂
have some good rest l, you deserve it 😍
Yes sir I know I look tired in the video. Gonna rest until the update comes
Videos at night, you need to put in 4k30fps for better results
a yes this is how i use my phone,with wifi at home,i dont go out,use 5 G ,google maps,video calls etc.great review
did you do the battery test properly? In italy reviewers say it last no more than 4.30 hours....
Will you do a direct comparison between S23 and S24?
No, I don’t have the S23 with me
@@NasiLemakTech Many speak of low efficiency for the Exyson 2400, some say 15% less than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Is it possible? Your tests seem more realistic
No? My tests are simulating day to day usage and the Exynos is more efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
If a higher load used - like gaming - then it might be a different story
@@NasiLemakTech Then S23 has a year of updates and optimization behind it. While S24 and the new Exynos 2400 have just been released and will need to be optimized. They said that a major optimization update was supposed to come out these days but it hasn't come out yet.
Hi. Do you have data on overnight battery drainage? With sync off and only on wifi overnight, how much battery is consumed?
Very low consumption. About like 5%?

Will this perform better in Summer season with the coming software updates, given how Exynos downgrades over time, will it be the same case for Exynos2400? Some of my biggest concerns
Also, releasing SDGen3 in US/China/Korea & Exynos in rest of the world does make me think twice on how Samsung thinks about its customers. Are other countries a testing ground for them & US being a huge market they don't want to take risks or think people are more technologically educated? If this is true the Exynos 2400 does rise red flags to me. Why not be consistent with experimentation across globe & treat all customers equal?
Exynos doesn't support CDMA.
And for throttling, we'll talk about this in a future video. It's a big topic on its own
@@NasiLemakTech Thant's some new information to learn for me. Let me check about CDMA. Can you give me a suggestion if I had to choose between two? S23 or 24, I' am thinking to buy today. I live in India & in my region temperatures do reach around 40 degree Centigrade
@@mohammedazeem3303 I'd say it doesn't make much of a difference. Both of them will be good, so follow your budget. S24 has more software updates - so if you are planning to use the phone for a very, very long time - then go for it
@@NasiLemakTech Budget wise there is hardly ₹6-7k difference ($80-$90). Planning to use it for next 5 years as I rarely change device & from Lenovo Note K10 since 2020 it'd be a huge upgrade for me. So don't want to get stuck on a wrong device. I may be overthinking which I feel but spending that amount does make me think twice as It'd be a long term decision for me 🙂

The S24 and Ultra show similar performance in the Genshin Impact test, but this is said to be due to image quality degradation in the S24.

I appreciate your videos about the Samsung S24 series
But there are many content creators who do not recommend buying Samsung S24 because of the Exynos 2400, and it also appears to me that the battery does not last for a long time
TBH, just buy it. I’m using a S24+ now and I love it more than the Ultra

15%. That's the standard for all charging tests we do

With exynos coming back we might as well just get the pixel 9 when that comes, i see no point of going for galaxy now as i prefer stock android and the only advantage for galaxy was Snapdragon.
Why no reviewers mentioned that S24 doesn't have UWB.
S24 ultra have 75% more non reflective screen but we need to apply tempered glass for safety & what after putting on tempered glass, it will not remain as non reflective as original?
Correct, the tempered glass screen protector will introduce reflections again.
Perhaps some other screen protector maker will make one tempered glass with anti reflective properties
@@NasiLemakTech Do S24 ultra really need screen protector as they say it's 4 times more scratch resistant than gorilla victus 2? Because I don't want to loss those non-reflective thing?

Is the screen sharp enough, even with that lower resolution ?
It's the only phone that still has a 1080p display, and this year the display got even bigger, from 6.1 to 6.2 inches, which lowers even more the PPI.
Something is off because my s24 is less sharp and dull colours compared to my a54. I will be returning it if the dont fix it.
