When it went F2P, literally everybody was able to test hacks without fear of getting their main account VAC’d. Valve killed the game by essentially enabling the testing if hacks without any real consequences. After playing CS for like 18 years, I had to stop. I tried creating a new account hoping I’d get placed at a rating above where my rank decay left me (hacker territory) and then I got mass-reported in my ranked placements, so that my trust factor became low. You’re punished to do well, or you go up against hackers. It’s cancer in every aspect. If valve stealth releases a new anti-cheat with hardware bans immediately available, then I’d be happy to play it again.

This video gave me goosebumps just remembering the feeling of everything that Csgo has been through and the C9 major win that I almost screamed while watching, no game can give me the feels that csgo does, amazing game, amazing channel, amazing editing. Amazing Counter Strike. This game will always be a part of me
I always comeback to this video at least twice a year, its such an amazing video that captures the emotions and heart of the CS community. This video is all you ever need to show someone who questions why you don't like valorant or many other competitive shooters, because CS has an identity. Its a flawed, out dated, aiming simulator that has brought the world close to just enjoy some damn video games. In a world with so many problems, CS majors are able to take everyone out their issues and lives and come together to watch the greats play. I will always have a deep love and place in my heart for this game and I truly hope CS lives on for many years to come.
if you like that feeling, play getting over it with bennet foddy. its pretty important for the atmosphere of the game to play in a decently quiet environment, with no music other than the games. and make sure you dont mute the narrorator or the ambient sound. even if you dont do all that stuff, it still is a great game that is now one of my favorites, it even competes with legend of zelda botw. just in an entirely different catagory of gaming.
Every time something new comes out, people like you are like "ooohhh watch this new shiny thing ooohh look its so shiny" but they never seem to understand that new doesnt always mean that its gonna be big or will stand the test of time like cs did. If this was true then cs would have died a long time ago and flashier shooters would be a yearly thing
I've watched this video like 10 times already, it made me emotional everytime, and it gave me the biggest goosebumps I've ever experienced, I haven't played csgo in a year and didn't pay attention to it that much than the old days, but after I watch this video again, I came back and kept watching csgo everyday again, this is probably one of my favourite videos on youtube. And thank you for reminding me about how great csgo is, and for me, nobody can kill cs, it was, is and always will be my favourite game I've ever played...
When I was 12 years old, my friend would go about on how he loved the game Counter Strike. He convinced me to buy it, and when I opened it up, I was met by the welcoming duo of FBI agent CTs and a blue background. I had previously played Half Life so I already knew how to navigate the menu. I opened up a game, and was instantly struck with a love for the game. In 2011, I moved onto CSS, which I thought was slightly better. The guns and textures seemed off from the previous Counter Strike, but just like with Day of Defeat and Day of Defeat: Source, it was the physics that was the problem. After playing that, when CS:GO released, I wasnt ready to move on. I played and played and loved the community, and update after update, I would have to cross my fingers to hope it wasnt a bad one. When the skins came out, It didnt take long for me to buy the M4A1-S skin "Flashback" along with the USP-S variant. I also played through all of the operations, my favorite one being phoenix. I have far morereccolection of operation hydra though, because i seemed to have gotten very good by then. after almost 3-4 years, operation shaddered web was pulled out of valves ass. This one i wish not to participate in. Thank you for reading.
I agree with you. The last time I played was operation hydra and then 3 months after it ended. Since then I have just played once or twice just to see whats going on. Presently I Havent played since August, and I don't think I will as time goes further on. Holds a strong place in my heart however.
For me, even though I was never good at the game. 1.5 got me hooked. Played a little bit of 1.6 and CSS. Didn't have a fast enough PC back in the day, but always played at cafes. Stopped playing games for a while. I saved up and spent a good chunk of money on a custom PC. More than a decade later, into 2016 I've decided to try CSGO. Although different in graphics, it felt nostalgic to me. With all the hustle and bustle of adulthood, it felt nice feeling that nostalgia that I once had playing 1.5 at 13 years old.
I just realized....I've been playing CS for 20 years....wow First memory: My friend told me about a place where you can play computer games, a 'cyber cafe', I didnt know about it that much and I just tagged along ! I joined a game, dust1 on cs1.2 or cs1.3 i dont remember. I died nearly all the fucking time except the first time when I actually got a kill with a pump action shot gun. I remember that day clearly and I think poured so much money after that into cyber cafes until I finally got DSL, when DSL // broadband internet became a normal thing everyone got ( yeah just imagine the days without free flowing internet and wifi). I will admit before the broad band and even some year or two after broadband I used to play with bots offline, namely PODbot, on hard they were like playing against all kennyS xD ! And I finally got broadband and played online ! The rest is history.....Such amazing people, fun games, fy_iceworld and fy_pool_day XD , watching VALVE replace the WAN network with STEAM slowly and watching steam grow up to what it is now... I'm not as good as these pro players even after 20 years, but it sure does help release stress after a hard day at work. Its a lifestyle.. I love Counter-Strike !
fy_pool_day was amazing XD . Also i remember capture the flag on 1.6 and gungame(which is now arms race). I have spent a lot of good times on those game modes

Jqmiez 15-15 is a draw. No more aces

@@babycakes6994 why? How did you learn about CS and how did you feel your first time playing?
For me, even though I was never good at the game. 1.5 got me hooked. Played a little bit of 1.6 and CSS. Didn't have a fast enough PC back in the day, but always played at cafes. Stopped playing games for a while. I saved up and spent a good chunk of money on a custom PC. More than a decade later, into 2016 I've decided to try CSGO. Although different in graphics, it felt nostalgic to me. With all the hustle and bustle of adulthood, it felt nice feeling that nostalgia that I once had playing 1.5 at 13 years old.
I just realized....I've been playing CS for 20 years....wow
First memory:
My friend told me about a place where you can play computer games, a 'cyber cafe', I didnt know about it that much and I just tagged along !
