Being from Northern Ireland, I really appreciated the mission “Rise Hard”. Absolutely hysterical loading into that map and seeing Belfast look like Times Square lol. Just the word “skyscraper” set off the biggest, funniest red flag - the tallest building we have isn’t even close to 40 floors, I don’t blame them for not accurately rendering all of Belfast accurately but it’s like they didn’t even remotely know what Ireland looks like lmao. I’m not hating, I love the game, just a bizarre and memorable connection I have to the game. Also the Russians supplying the IRA with a damn HIND is the pure insanity I love in these old games. Classic
One stupid thing the player can do at the start of this level is fall off the building. This results in a Gman-style game over noting "Subject attempted to fly".
The Cold War left old Soviet Union military hardware lying around all over the world. I doubt they would need to ask the actual Russian military for one.
That's an alternate universe where Ireland is like a super economically powerful country where every city is like Manhattan It's with that, or just reused skyboxes from Vertigo or something
I believe there were some Japanese members in the team, the Japanese themes in the game were almost perfectly done unlike other "Japan-themed" games. Words and sentences in ads or posters are perfectly readable and grammarly correct that I think it can only be written by a person native to Japanese language and culture. That maybe the reason why there are so many missions located in Japan.
Rise Hard *is* one of the hardest missions in the game so it's not a skill issue. The amount of enemies in that mission is ridiculous. This game can be described as Call of Duty before it became a huge hit.
12:06 The Jet is a Harrier, they're engines tilt so they can fly vertically or horizontally, basically switch between acting like a helicopter and a plane.
5:33 You had them on easy. On higher difficulties they're insane. Condition Zero/Deleted Scenes is in my opinion the best Counter-Strile game. It's got the great gameplay of 1.6, while also having single player modes, more maps, and excellent bot support. Thank you for giving Deleted Scenes the recognition and justice it deserves. It is very good.
12:13 That's actually a Harrier type of Jet. I'm not to educated in aircraft but I do know that Harriers have a vtol mode that allows them to, well, hover like a helicopter would. They were really popular and started being used by the military in the late 80's I believe.
What is awesome to me and probably terrifying to others is that it isn't a late cold war era aircraft it was actually adopted/in trials in the late 1960s which is in the middle of the Vietnam war where infantry still had steel pot helmets and dogfighting was still a important skill.
I had dreamed long ago about there being a Global Offensive Condition Zero that took players through 1:1 recreations of historically significant counter-terrorism operations like the Iranian Embassy siege, the Munich massacre, or Operation Fire Magic, complete with in depth interviews with operators and living suspects involved with the events, spliced with historical footage like a playable version of those old-style documentaries from _H2,_ _Bio._ or the _History Channel_ before they went off the deep end. Like Kuma/War but actually educational.
Look up "The Regiment", it's not 1:1 (no game can be) but each mission is based on a real SAS operation and has interviews/pre-amble by a guy who served and fought in those operations. Starts with the Iranian Embassy Siege.
16:16 it's an Iraqi tactic, they teach this great tactic in schools, even if it didn't work sometimes you'll annoy the invader to the point that he kills himself eventually, such a great tactic
I'm a bit surprised to find a glowing review of Deleted Scenes, as the consensus seems to be "it sucks, and isn't worth playing" But I think it's a pretty novel concept, even today, and the maps are really useful as reference for map makers who want to use goldsource. They're really pretty and they use quite a lot of entities as props, which means "custom props" for goldsource!
Fun fact: the level where you fight a jet has a Harrier which has VTOL capabilities (basically means it can take off and fly vertically like a helicopter)
11:55 This "Jet-helicopter" is Av-8 (or Harrier) ... this jet can use VOTL system, be a "helikopter" and every plane be made form "cardboard" becose need be light to fight
I remember ESCalation making videos about the cut content of CZ. Theres lots of neat stuff about Deleted scenes, as it contains beta assets (Like beta weapons n assets in the files) and some unused maps that never made it to the MP. One that had the Counter Strike community interested in was the arctic section of CZDS, which was a very early and unused / cut map based around a arctic base shown in the first previews of the game in 01, which was remade to the best they could with assets. Same with porting console exclusive maps aswell like Tokyo.
i also remember watching ESCalation's videos for cut content and it's a shame all the cut content never made it in the game, it would have been awesome, but it looks like that Valve is way too afraid to make any changes, like NWI not adding semi auto shotguns to Insurgency Sandstorm yet the original Insurgency mod for Half Life 2 has the Benelli M4 and MP-153
Same. I thought that's the normal CS. And after all those years I thought that this game never existed and I just played some modded version or something
i love this game. it was pretty much my childhood after my cousin burned this on a cd and let me play it. ritual put so much effort into making this and giving it little easter eggs and other fluff. it's sad that nowadays absolutely no one knows about it and the fact that an actual *decent* single player counter strike story exists.
10:38 it is actually missing. The rocket is there sure but the warhead that has the nuclear core is the missing part. Which is what the leader activates in the church. And japanese missions cuz devs were total weebs, you can even find hentai magazines in Hankagai inside the shop near the beginning lmao The last 6 missions that you only access through the world maps weren't originally included in the game when it was released. Valve added them later hence why they don't appear in the main campaign.. Oh and there is a mod I worked on with a friend that fixes the widescreen world map. Juat search for deleted scenes world map fix and it should appear Overall CZDS is a quite bizzare game and I love it. Graphically it's the best looking official Goldsrc game imo and the missions play nicely. The AI can be hot garbage sometimes but it has to be expected for such a rushed development cycle
The jet you fight on Thin Ice is a Harrier which is a VTOL aircraft, so that explains why it's moving like a helicopter. Also most aircraft aren't armoured well at all.
Yeah but a magazines worth of a police sniper rifles fire isn't gonna blow one up, (yes the AWP is the police version of the Arctic Warfare series of sniper rifles, who would've thought that they actually thought about its inclusion, though it should be black)
jets have armor, and i think the RAF had some documents in ww2 about how ineffective .308 (which i think is the AWP round but it may be .338) was against aircraft
@@叵sea_muffin叵 What do WW2 aircraft have to do with jets? Modern jets aren't expected to get into dogfights and be engaged by autocanons and are knocked out by a missile exploding near them and showering them with shrapnel. Only dedicated attack aircraft have some armour around the cockpit and engines but even they would succumb to sustained accurate fire from some random dude with a rifle(Assuming you know, he could actually hit them)
CZ Deleted Scenes getting the appreciation it deserves, you did a great job on this one my dude. My favorite missions of this game are Secret Wars, Silo and ThinIce. Also, this game has loads of cut content, mainly weapons and all sorts of stuff plus the only map that was taken to be an actual map for CS is Downed Pilot which is called cs_downed_cz.
I played this long lost game before. I mean literally like it was 2004 when it was released. I remember looking for a Compact Disk version of CSSource and I bumped to this game and bought. I thought at first it was some MOD version of CS. But I've played it like for a month each chapter after I went home from middle school. And I can say that this Condition Zero DS was really underrated. Kudos to this channel for bringing the game a spark for these new folks here to play. Keep it up!
12:00 Harrier, a VTOL capable jet that hovers like a helicopter. Also, small arms fire at that close of a range against a jet can do some serious damage, especially if you hit unarmored parts
@@ignacioaguirrenoguez6218 Good old .338 Lapua Magnum can make a mess. Make it into machine gun and you may get something like an M2 Browning, designed against aircrafts in 1910s.
It's a shame we never got the original Condition Zero that had like a morbillion new features (some that ended up in CSGO like molotovs) but the one we got is still a cool hidden jank gem. Edit: 11:58 that's how harriers work. They can switch between hover mode and nyooooom mode.
Condition Zero was the CS game I spent most of my childhood time of, so it definitely holds a special place in my heart :) Thanks for this video, really love it.
My biggest CS games that I spend my childhood is CS 1.6 and CS:S, I'm really happy that Tuscan is back at CS:GO, it's so different, the two places that I remember from 1.6 is one of the bomb sites and that place at T spawn.
I remember there were dozens of hidden dead bodies with open stomachs (probably because their organs were harvested) in Lost Cause mission. I think they served as an easter egg, because they were hidden under the ground and the area was hard to reach. Even though the graphics were low it was still creepy back then.
I like your monotone voice with tasteful use of handpicked memes. Balanced like whisky sour. Subbed. I think i am the only one who played cscz most out of anyone because its my first introduction to whole franchise! Our family moved from apartment complex to this house and previous owners happened to leave a copy of this series. I was instantly hooked.
I remember playing one mission on this, it was the one that takes place in a tropical rainforest. As a kid that mission scared the shit out of me, the sound is eerie and the overall atmosphere is creepy. To add fuel to the fire youll even see mutilated bodies under some of the huts.
There's this fun glitch where if you quick swap on and off after firing the rocket launcher. You re-equip it with full ammo and abuse the hell out of it the whole mission
I remember playing this game just because I had it, then realising that the fake physics cutscenes and extra weapons and items were quite fun in a counter strike setting, and checking every corner for hidden weapons and grenades were pretty fun as well especially since the map is pretty detailed. A good nostalgia run, thanks
As a filipino, on the mission "Lost Cause", the language on some box textures were poorly translated. Got me triggered, disappointed and laughing at the same time. Regardless of that, I still love the game as a whole. Rumors' that a remake of this as from what I heard is being made, it's called Recovered Operations.
the mission "truth in chaos" has one of the coolest/weirdest easter eggs, a secret room filled with NPCs (usually enemies and "bosses") and its so out of place its incredible.
There's a hidden AWP on the last mission (Rise hard). It's hanging out on one of the weird posts on the outside of the building and requires some platforming to get to. If memory serves, it's right before "the hardest part in the game for you". There's no reason for it to be there, but it's there all the same.
I was obsessed with Deleted Scenes all through 2020, for some reason - ig quarantine brain. Literally sunk over 200 hours into it replaying the campaign over and messing with cheats. I do like the charm of CS in a HL1 esque world, felt like a high quality mod for hl1. Fun times
When I first read the title, I thought this was like a Game Theory type video, Like, "Who are the Terrorists and the Counter-Terrorists?" or like, "Where is Dust 2 located?"
I love the condition zero franchise, i grew up playing CS and when i was really young (like 6 - 8 years old) the only version of the game i had to play was this one, only when i turned 10 i discovered the 1.6 and Source ones.
This genuinely looks really fun. I love any of the old Half Life 1-style games and gameplay and I quite like the story elements here. Kind of feels like if there was a spinoff series of Corporal Shepard's past missions.
I used to play around with the sv_gravity cheats in this game, really fun watching enemies instadie when walking down stairs as a kid damn the memories. On the rise hard level, you can also use sv_cheats to float out the window and avoid the death triggers so you can walk out of bounds on the ground which had incomplete textures, fun. Also, instead of being single shot only, you can also permanently keep the rocket launcher by immediately pressing Q(quick switch) before the discarding animation finishes. Spent entire nights as a kid giggling to myself blowing up people. Good times.
9:05 Fun fact, I discovered a glitch that allows you to kill the guy by throwing a grenade under the table on the right side You can also get on the boxes outside and get over the fence (or not) and kill the other guys as well
This was quite the blast from the past. Deleted Scenes was the my first introduction to FPS games, absolutely blew my little 6 year old mind. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories 👍
Actually there is a full story mode of CS, if i remember it's a arcade version of 1.6 CS from Japan and it's glorious. It has lore, background story, even it's own soundtrack. It's called Counter-Strike NEO : White Memories
I played this when I was a child. And oh man those exploding body parts and random cut open mutilated bodies that you find under water were really the shadow of my childhood. Regardless, good game well played
Condition zero deleted scenes was my first intro to cs after unreal tourmanent. I still go back and play some of the levels, as dated as they are. They're still absolutely iconic in my eyes.
I do remember not only source shadowing CZ's release, but 1.6 had already been out for several months. When I asked my friends if they were gonna get CZ, a few of them questioned why they'd spend 50 bucks on a free mp game with a sp mod attached to it. I think it was actually 30 dollars but that was still quite a bit back then, when you compare it to the value of all the already existing amazing single player mods available for HL1. It is fun to think back on those times remembering Half-Life 1, Day of Defeat, Team Fortress and Counter-Strike all stacked up next to each other on the shelf at a game store.
I hope someone can make some sort source remake for this game, it's pretty old and primitive but it's surprisingly good and ambitious in many ways, also great work on the video!
Valve makes games to sell you stuff, Source games exist to make you use Steam (basically why HL2 exists), HL Alyx exists so you would buy an Index and accessories, making their old games work with controllers and supporting the Proton layer for Linux is so you would buy a Steam Deck or other SteamOS devices which are gonna be made (SteamOS 3.0 isn't public yet but watch them start making mini PCs for Steam gaming on your TV or partnering with companies like Intel) So from Valves perspective, why lol? Edit: SteamOS 3.0 is KINDA public but from what I can tell, only in a public preview state, so basically just an open beta (if even that, hard to tell)
12:10 guns like barret were specially designed to use it against materials. Off course you can use it on personal. But the main purpose of development of gun was to disable machines, damage planes and choppers in hanger or to shoot through high armor.
Head canon: CS 1.6 and Condition Zero are time warps set in the Half-Life universe with CTs and Ts fighting forever in another dimension - I mean the Black Mesa logo and SUVs (though those are default game textures) are in maps like cs_assault and de_nuke.
Thanks for the review, I like how intelligent, informative and not too overloaded with jokes and memes this video is. I know that you're primary Gold Source/Source author, but please consider reviewing Global Operations (2002). It's relatively good, and it has some interesting roots (Counter Strike and Rockstar). Also, it got a small community patch like 6 months ago.
Honestly condition zero: deleted scenes NEEDS a source remake
Oh yes, my dream game. I hope it becomes true. Or maybe, maybe... GLOBAL OFFENSIVE DELETED SCENES SOURCE 2! OH YEAH!
I imagine deleted scenes source remake would somehow come with new CSGO operation with completely new AI and not bots.. it would be cool

I've been to Belfast, but I didn't even think of that.
That's an alternate universe where Ireland is like a super economically powerful country where every city is like Manhattan
It's with that, or just reused skyboxes from Vertigo or something
Man, the “run” mission takes place in Japan - but we can clearly see that this is Sakhalin on the map - which is a part is Russia )
Dude you're fucking hilarious, the editing, the jokes, it's all great. How the hell do you only have 61k subs??? Hidden gem of a channel right here
Literally that monotone voice is next level 🔥😂

When i played this game, i had 2 questions:
1. Why is there a CS singleplayer?
2. Why is the friendly A.I. so shit?
the first reason is why it's called "deleted scenes".
The 2nd reason is basic
Its goldsrc after all ofc u find very very shit quality friend A.I System
Maybe hire better operators
You're already seeing the answer to the 2nd question
GoldSrc.
If u didnt played Half Life single player then u wont know the answer to ur 1st question....
Rise Hard *is* one of the hardest missions in the game so it's not a skill issue. The amount of enemies in that mission is ridiculous.
This game can be described as Call of Duty before it became a huge hit.
Call of Duty was directly inspired by (and made by devs from) Medal of Honor. Specifically, Allied Assault.
Yeahh that's right, was specifically searching for this comment
This game is more like Soldier of Fortune than COD.
@@0lionheart because the original founders of Infinity Ward are behind of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
12:06 The Jet is a Harrier, they're engines tilt so they can fly vertically or horizontally, basically switch between acting like a helicopter and a plane.
2 intakes, 4 nozzles, a lot of development costs, and you can too turn your british shithole jet into a useless helicopter
Narrator never saw True Lies 😂
This game is actually so underrated, it's unbelievable that valve didn't expand on the concept
12:40
This game was way ahead of its time.
💀
Wtf
12:13 That's actually a Harrier type of Jet. I'm not to educated in aircraft but I do know that Harriers have a vtol mode that allows them to, well, hover like a helicopter would. They were really popular and started being used by the military in the late 80's I believe.
What is awesome to me and probably terrifying to others is that it isn't a late cold war era aircraft it was actually adopted/in trials in the late 1960s which is in the middle of the Vietnam war where infantry still had steel pot helmets and dogfighting was still a important skill.
I was thinking the same. Most people that are part of the generation that played this game when it came out had probably seen True Lies 😆
Is it made of cardboard?
Harrier II with 25mm Rotarycannon Turret
Still, the hover mode is rather used to take off and land than attack
That actually sounds hella sick. Wish something like that existed.
Sounds cool
I'd love to see a counter strike movie.
16:16 it's an Iraqi tactic, they teach this great tactic in schools, even if it didn't work sometimes you'll annoy the invader to the point that he kills himself eventually, such a great tactic
The bot are surprisingly good in 2004.
The Bot: *tea-bagging*
I'm a bit surprised to find a glowing review of Deleted Scenes, as the consensus seems to be "it sucks, and isn't worth playing"
But I think it's a pretty novel concept, even today, and the maps are really useful as reference for map makers who want to use goldsource. They're really pretty and they use quite a lot of entities as props, which means "custom props" for goldsource!
Fun fact: the level where you fight a jet has a Harrier which has VTOL capabilities (basically means it can take off and fly vertically like a helicopter)
GTA san andreas taught me that
i'm pretty sure a vtol is fought in mgs2 too if i'm not mistaken
@@natiusjoshua55 yeah its the same plane, a Harrier.
That jet is based on the Harrier that has VTOL capabilities, it makes it hover and move like a helicopter.
11:55 This "Jet-helicopter" is Av-8 (or Harrier) ... this jet can use VOTL system, be a "helikopter"
and every plane be made form "cardboard" becose need be light to fight
"No way, I'm not going any further"
I remember ESCalation making videos about the cut content of CZ.
Theres lots of neat stuff about Deleted scenes, as it contains beta assets (Like beta weapons n assets in the files) and some unused maps that never made it to the MP. One that had the Counter Strike community interested in was the arctic section of CZDS, which was a very early and unused / cut map based around a arctic base shown in the first previews of the game in 01, which was remade to the best they could with assets. Same with porting console exclusive maps aswell like Tokyo.
i also remember watching ESCalation's videos for cut content
and it's a shame all the cut content never made it in the game, it would have been awesome, but it looks like that Valve is way too afraid to make any changes, like NWI not adding semi auto shotguns to Insurgency Sandstorm yet the original Insurgency mod for Half Life 2 has the Benelli M4 and MP-153
12:43 He predicted it...
LMAO
Rip
Oh Nah
guys i live under a rock what is this moment supposed to mean????
@@jazdajazda2191 The day after this video was released former prime minister of Japan Shinzo Abe was assassinated
The funny thing is that this is the first CS I had. The most obscure CS in the series was the only one I had for many years.
Same. I thought that's the normal CS. And after all those years I thought that this game never existed and I just played some modded version or something
Me too man I played deleted scenes when I was like 11 and it was enjoyable except the rocket launcher one shot
i love this game. it was pretty much my childhood after my cousin burned this on a cd and let me play it. ritual put so much effort into making this and giving it little easter eggs and other fluff. it's sad that nowadays absolutely no one knows about it and the fact that an actual *decent* single player counter strike story exists.
So much enthusiasm in your voice jeez... you sound like my philosophy teacher
10:38 it is actually missing. The rocket is there sure but the warhead that has the nuclear core is the missing part. Which is what the leader activates in the church.
And japanese missions cuz devs were total weebs, you can even find hentai magazines in Hankagai inside the shop near the beginning lmao
The last 6 missions that you only access through the world maps weren't originally included in the game when it was released. Valve added them later hence why they don't appear in the main campaign..
Oh and there is a mod I worked on with a friend that fixes the widescreen world map. Juat search for deleted scenes world map fix and it should appear
Overall CZDS is a quite bizzare game and I love it.
@@IsM1ku idk, youd be suprised
jets have armor, and i think the RAF had some documents in ww2 about how ineffective .308 (which i think is the AWP round but it may be .338) was against aircraft
IDK why but ur soulless dead voice made me watch this video more than I'd and made me feel calm whole time.
Keep it up!
I had this game sleeping in my library for so long if only I knew cs had a real singleplayer campaign and not just with bots. Thanks for that
12:00 Harrier, a VTOL capable jet that hovers like a helicopter. Also, small arms fire at that close of a range against a jet can do some serious damage, especially if you hit unarmored parts
Most parts are unarmored, and the AWP round is quite considerable, so one shot in the right (or wrong) spot would deal considerable damage
@@ignacioaguirrenoguez6218 Good old .338 Lapua Magnum can make a mess. Make it into machine gun and you may get something like an M2 Browning, designed against aircrafts in 1910s.
Yeah this guy in the video does a lot of nitpicking while not knowing what he is talking about half the time
The Hankagai build-up story is uhhh... yeah... wish he had a Counter-Terrorist team to defend him in the end, eh?
As a person who lives in the Philippines, rocket launchers are DEFINITELY a common weapon to be used.
Fr most people have homemade ones
I love the special animated deaths in deleted scenes. That’s one of the main reasons why it’s my favourite cs game
It's a shame we never got the original Condition Zero that had like a morbillion new features (some that ended up in CSGO like molotovs) but the one we got is still a cool hidden jank gem.
Edit: 11:58 that's how harriers work. They can switch between hover mode and nyooooom mode.
Condition Zero was the CS game I spent most of my childhood time of, so it definitely holds a special place in my heart :)
Thanks for this video, really love it.
me tooooooooooo
I say, Condition Zero is the best version of CS. 🤝
Even though the graphics were low it was still creepy back then.
man condition zero seems like the counterfeit for payday. World maps, time, objectives, locations and such
Important to note that Turtle Rock Studios was at one point part of valve, called Valve South, where they made Left 4 Dead
You are literally my favorite youtuber of 2022 the edits are so good and reactions too, thank you so much for this
I like your monotone voice with tasteful use of handpicked memes.
Downed pilot or lost cause?
It's the second mission, the stealth one, and the mutilated corpses got me as well
Exactly, that's what i just said. This game knows how to tense your nerves
Deleted scenes was really fun to play. I wish they would make a remake of it with CS:GO graphics. Thank you for shedding light on this gem
It is remade under the name Recovered operations.
@@unimportantcommenter4356 really? Source? Damn.
15:37 The next 6 missions were added later from the original retail version after Steam updated the game.
knew it my mind wasn’t tricking me that I played a campaign of counter strike as a kid. only part I remembered was it was in a jungle
12:54 this didn't age well already
There's a hidden AWP on the last mission (Rise hard). It's hanging out on one of the weird posts on the outside of the building and requires some platforming to get to. If memory serves, it's right before "the hardest part in the game for you". There's no reason for it to be there, but it's there all the same.
Yaaay, deleted scenes was the shit when I was a kid, me and my friends in Brazil loved it
this is actually pretty neat, kinda reminds me of games where youre just an unnamed guy mixed with cod.
I actually appreciate that you added subtitles for ppl who don't understand english aurally that good
12:43 i dont know if its too soon to joke about this, but... this mission aged very poorly, considering... you know
I was gonna comment the same thing. Lol
I hope Valve doesn't pull the game over this
I was obsessed with Deleted Scenes all through 2020, for some reason - ig quarantine brain. Literally sunk over 200 hours into it replaying the campaign over and messing with cheats.
I do like the charm of CS in a HL1 esque world, felt like a high quality mod for hl1. Fun times
14:14 "Terrorists are going to detonate a nuke downtown!"
"The bad news though..."
Good times.
9:05 Fun fact, I discovered a glitch that allows you to kill the guy by throwing a grenade under the table on the right side
You can also get on the boxes outside and get over the fence (or not) and kill the other guys as well
I love Condition Zero campaign. Unlocking all the crew members was very satisfying.
still cooler stories than modern warfare reboot
Real🗿
This was quite the blast from the past. Deleted Scenes was the my first introduction to FPS games, absolutely blew my little 6 year old mind. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories 👍
Actually there is a full story mode of CS, if i remember it's a arcade version of 1.6 CS from Japan and it's glorious. It has lore, background story, even it's own soundtrack.
It's called Counter-Strike NEO : White Memories
14:27 oh hey i recognize this sound , its from hunt down the freeman , which means he actually played it , and recorded it
Nah, still haven't played it.

I played this when I was a child. And oh man those exploding body parts and random cut open mutilated bodies that you find under water were really the shadow of my childhood.
Regardless, good game well played
I had a feverish memory that ive played a single play CS when i was a kid but this confirms it
Condition zero deleted scenes was my first intro to cs after unreal tourmanent. I still go back and play some of the levels, as dated as they are. They're still absolutely iconic in my eyes.
your monotone has me engaged because i dont know why iam hipnotized by your voice, and your jokes are quite interesting
The 5:45 made me laugh that bot was tea bagging he's friends so hard
Yeah bots have no brains
That was a friendly
i remember ditching middleschool to run home and torrent this a couple days before it actually came out. good times
Valve makes games to sell you stuff, Source games exist to make you use Steam (basically why HL2 exists), HL Alyx exists so you would buy an Index and accessories, making their old games work with controllers and supporting the Proton layer for Linux is so you would buy a Steam Deck or other SteamOS devices which are gonna be made (SteamOS 3.0 isn't public yet but watch them start making mini PCs for Steam gaming on your TV or partnering with companies like Intel)
So from Valves perspective, why lol?
Edit: SteamOS 3.0 is KINDA public but from what I can tell, only in a public preview state, so basically just an open beta (if even that, hard to tell)
12:10 guns like barret were specially designed to use it against materials. Off course you can use it on personal. But the main purpose of development of gun was to disable machines, damage planes and choppers in hanger or to shoot through high armor.
Biggest mystery still is why do the terrorists wanna blow up those boxes in dust 2?
11:05 I tried to save that guy so many times till I realised that was his fate
12:44 that aged well
Apparently Counter-Strike and Left 4 Dead stories are somehow connected too. There are references to CS:Source maps in L4D1 and 2 for instance.
