- Why is it that, in the world of Counter-Strike, it’s the AWPers who get all the recognition? The Deaglers? Even the occasional Scout savant.
It’s all anyone talks about: the no-scopes, the Juan Deags, the impossible flicks. And with good reason: they’re nutty. Absurd. Unremittingly hype. The showstoppers of CS:GO.
But what about your run-of-the-mill riflers? Why is it that they never seem to get any credit?
The bread-and-butter, blue collar, working-class killers of Counter-Strike. Those who aren’t afforded the sexiest hardware.
Well, with one exception, of course.
Of all the sloppy, shaky, inaccurate bullet-dispensers across the history of Counter-Strike, there is only one crown jewel. A meat-and-potatoes masterpiece whose disciples didn’t adopt it because they weren’t good enough to wield the Mighty Green but because they were too good
This is the story of the cheapest, hardest, and most god-tier gun in the whole of CS:GO. The story of the AK-47.

That was my biggest complaint with Valorant. When you hit that headshot on an enemy, you just don't get the same type of satisfaction like you do from shooting in CS.

I liked the krieg. I was very happy to have a weapon which compensated for my bad eyesight with that scope. I enjoyed it and now it's not good enough to beat an M4. At least I'll still have my AUG!
I'm an awper and I still worship the AK. Put enough time into it and you're unbeatable, the only thing that kills a great AK player is an even better awper, and awpers don't always have an AWP.

Spinx showed us lately that 'the rifler' is very important .
In the last major , the importance of him being able to get top fragger and allowing Zywoo to be more calm and not under pressure to bring his A game was a big part of them winning the major
If it wasn't for Mikhail Kalashnikov developing this rifle, ScreaM wouldn't have his 50% headshot percentage that lasts to this day.

I own a gun store here in Dallas, TX and I hope they do talk about the real one because what you see in CS is completely unreal compared to how a real one shoots. Also no one shoots and AK from the hip in real life.

@@DJG37S this is an old comment but valve games don't do ads, in the third person animations when the characters stand still they're aiming down the iron sights, hence them being so accurate when standing still.

Back in the late 90's to early 2000's, 2 weapons only reign at the end game point: AK-47 or Sniper rifles - and once you noticed the teams are using either of those two, you know you're in for the treat.

as a man who learned the ak in 1.6 days then left cs then went to csgo mastered the ak again left csgo came back again and am trying to master it i felt so much nostalgia from the ak shots in these video
I joined counterstrike towards the middle of the krieg controversy, I still remember when the debuf came during a break I had taken from the game, it's still a good gun down in silver when my aim is off point but I'm glad Competitive stopped suffering from it
Throughout the few weeks of checking out CS:GO plays and just the game in general, I get most hype with insane AK or just other automatic kills instead of AWPs.
